You should install the beta/gamma core on anything you can on the planet just to cut down on upkeep and demand, at least until you get more alpha cores. You should also dump all your excessive metal and ship parts to your irradiated world since the heavy industry need those, help further cut down import cost.
Also a Quality of life mod I found recently would probably interest you. It does the double dip, auto deactivates your transponder when you hyperjump, reacticates your burn mode after a sensor burst. The same author also made a mod to give you more control over where your shield is pointed. Not usefull for carriers, but very useful for combat ships.
There is a mod for the Luddic path that I would highly recommend. Else the ludds are far too much of a pushover. It gives them a cathedral ship and the IDE ships.
Just FYI, (and also because it's super unintuitive) colony production, demand, and exports don't work like you think. A colony demanding goods doesn't reduce your exports at all. A colony that produces, say, five food can feed any number of colonies that demand five food or less and still export five food. The flip side of this is that no number of such colonies can feed a planet that demands six food. Unrelated to that, please do yourself a favor and get some Taufan wings. They will make you very happy.
Ballistic rangefinder mods is really good actually, it increases those short pd's for a longer range to attack, great addition for ballistic weaponry ship such as the one using Vulcan cannon and the other similar to it, recommend you to use it if you wanna extend those weapon defence range.
Am fan of ballistic rangefinder for larger ships or those specifically designated as PD escorts, combined with the PD AI it really creates a large denial zone.
Ludds? No.. never really liked them there is a mod that gives them really cool ships tho (Cathedral class hubship for example) but from vanilla factions, my favourites are probably tri tach and from all modded that i know it's either shadowyards or star federation Also it's great seeing you have so much fun with the game, and enjoying it how you want to
What I would love to see is if the fighter path wouldn't be a straight line, most often fighters get taken down by main weapon fire meant for the ship (at least for Diable Avionics which often have single or dual fighter wings)
Need to find an arms dealer and get some of the torp bombers that use minibrev torps. I have about 10 squadrons and all the nukes going off is marvelous.
I don't know what you're doing on Twitch, but if you're playing more Starsector I'd love to see it being uploaded here on RUclips. This episode was great!
you could protect your homesystem much better if you build a orbital shipyard on the hot planet with the cold engine and a pristine nanoforge on the shipyard and ai core gives you hightech fleet without D mods if you can find the stuff and have the industry left to do it
25:10 I don't think the AI is that good, just carriers AI that tends to want to keep distance, for warships more often than not AI will rush in and get isolated.
Timo, I've got a question. I am playing a similar game (in my free time) with UAF carriers + rockets. For now it was going smooth, but I recently found two obstacles that I couldn't cope with. First, was a remnant fleet that didn't seem that hard (one battleship and several cruisers) and another one was a UAF renegade fleet with a lot of battleships. In the first case I felt that fighters couldn't go through the shields, and in the second encounter my fighters couldn't kill the battleships before they got into a close range and evaporated my carriers. My mods/smods are slightly different (I am going for ECCM package and extra missiles, but I left the Hardened Subsystems). I am wondering, what is the thing to look at? More defensive mods; different fighters composition; more Exorias (better wing per CP stats and better mobility) instead of Neuxoria/Zepporia; better positioning (not having yourself cornered)?
The real key will be fighter composition, you need a good mix of Gunships and Alpha strike fighters, you need gunships to apply flux pressure, and alpha's to finish them off. My Menascar's from WYFUS Lightning Strike are huge MVP's in every battle IMO.
not to be the person to diagnose a stranger over the internet, especially since i was told i shouldnt do that but as someone who also has severe ADHD, enough to actually be recognized as disabled in the highest category my country has i think it does explain a considerable amount of things about you to also have ADHD, the repeating things, trying to make random strangers on the internet happy, not being very good at bringing words across etc.someone to know you would probably be able to point to a few more things which could possible be related to it. I know when Livestreaming or recording videos a lot of things go on that will probably take part of it but i do recognize that your also jumping all over the place, talking about your self, then the games performance and back to talking about your self instead of finishing a topic before moving on to the next. Being Neurodivergent commonly das cause that as far as i know. Im probably going to sound like im judging someone but that probably also has to do with your anime obsession since ADHD people often obsess over very specific things. At this point i dont even remember what i was trying to say.
So you keep calling them the "Ludds" but shouldn't they technically be called "Luddites", singular being "Luddite". Basically being a play on the derogatory term for someone who is anti technology or technological progress.
The irradiated world should be named "Irralith" a beautiful name for the pearl of your industry
Great name
Interesting name, I was thinking because the portrait of the planet had a pinkish purple hue, of calling it Amethyst, or possibly Sugilite.

Huh, good to know! Cheers :D
Yeeesss! Let's make some money!

8:26 - Luddic Path Holy Armada
11:40 - Luddic Path Armada with holes in.

Ship and missle explosions don't take out fighters/bombers.
Your idea for a mod is pretty interesting, I do like the idea of heavy armor ships with big guns
Like the enthusiasm in your voice. Keep up the destruction. Thoughts on stellaris lots of mods, too
My ships logic is always "Balls to the wall or not at all!"
LITERALLY
It kept the series entertaining xD I've heard my own name so much due to that ships shenanigans I love it
I love there Eradicators 😆
Love a low tech knight faction!!! Go for it Ill play it
They claim to be holy.. You made them full of holes for sure.. lol

Ganbatte, Timo-san!
Arigato gozaimasu!
NGL, when I saw a Pather fleet with a Prometheus I was expecting you to get an IED lol
Haha! I was a tad worried about it. :D
A low tech faction would be nice, most of the moded factions are mid/hi-tec
It would 100000% be lowtech yeah.

On your ship display, what do the green marks, where the demods usually show, mean?
Please tell me it's possible to give your Alpha Core administrators robot girl portraits, your very own Artificial Queens
HA.. I don't think so? Maybe?! That sounds amazing though hahahaha
@@TimoRedbeard yes you can, it is associated with the UAF mod IIRC.

I have ADHD and Autism, so you're spot on HAHA. ;) Much love mate.
The Ludds are my favorite faction..... to exterminate.
So you keep calling them the "Ludds" but shouldn't they technically be called "Luddites", singular being "Luddite". Basically being a play on the derogatory term for someone who is anti technology or technological progress.
Technically yeah, but it's generally accepted in the Starsector community to call them Ludds (I think)
