I put this song on as an encouraging reminder "that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet." I need to heart that when....the wrong seems so strong.

I was humming this hymn earlier in my garden, sitting and listening to nature sing. I wanted to hear it and found this soulful, majestic, gorgeous piece. Thank you.

This was a tearful and beautiful walk down memory lane for me, performed as a member of the children’s choir in my Congregational Church when I was growing up. I found the lyrics moving then, and have rediscovered them with this breathtaking arrangement by Ms. Hagenberg. Thank you for music that feeds my soul.

If Heaven allows the saints to look down occasionally, I think Brother Maltbie would be pleased with this gorgeous rendition of his heart-felt hymn.

I was just reading that he never published anything in his lifetime, but his wife published this hymn after his death. Here's this amazing legacy of worship, and he never got to hear it. God heard it, though, and he used it to bless the world. :)

This song was selected for our district chorus concert in district 7 Pennsylvania this year and I absolutely loved singing it as a Baritone. Such powerful lyrics paired with just as powerful music. Definitely one of my most favorite choral arrangements :) Thank you for arranging it!

We did this for pmea region 5 chorus and everyone was in tears by the end. Would you like me to send you the recording? it sounds very different with a 125 person choir :)
