Peace like a river, a river of the Holy Spirit. Every time I hear anything written by this gifted man my heart gets filled by the H.S. and my heart just melts.
Thank you, Dan Forrest, for sharing your witness of the Savior through sacred music. This rendition of Psalm 121 is stunningly beautiful and my soul raises to join in song in recognition of His divinity. I have loved John Rutter's version of this psalm for decades, but this one is becoming a new favorite. One of the finest and moves me in deep ways.
I’ve listened to this piece about 6 or 7 times in a row. It’s so beautifully arranged and the words are so powerful with the accompanying music. I never get tired of listening to it.
Psalm 121 has been my favorite Psalm for years. This setting lifts my spirit, lightens my load, helps me to look up to our Lord. Thank you, Dan Forrest.
A prayer for your comfort, Tim. I'm currently preparing to go into surgery soon to have an enormous tumor removed, with the likelihood of cancer and I too am finding comfort tonight as I fret over the upcoming days. I hope you have found peace. God will care for those of us who love Him in very sacred and tender ways. And pain is just one way to help us love Him more!
I have accompanied many choral numbers, and I so appreciate the beautiful, lush accompaniments characteristic of Dan Forrest’s music. This is no exception…and that brass! Yummy! 🥰
I have found a powerful message in this psalm when I really needed help. I have always known it as 'thr Scottish psalm' and I read it at the funeral of a my much loved sister Helen and it was part of the eulogy at my Mum's funeral. It is so true - my help cometh from the Lord.
I knew a Bruce MacDowell who lived in Queens, NYC -- I'm a little uncertain about the spelling of your last name. If you're the same person, you will recognize me. Either way, God bless you. This is an awesome song to appreciate 🙌
Are angels singing or is it just me? If that is on earth, how Will it be in the presence of the Lord Himself? How Will it be in heaven? Thank you so much...God bless you brother. From CANADA
