    I have an Audi a2 8p tdi sport back 2009. It had superficial rust at the back which after being brushed down was treated with kurust, then sprayed with an anti rust metal paint before being spray with lanoguard, Lano guard is absolutely fantastic and my car looks amazing, highly recommend

    I would use that oil first to let it soak into rust and grease after oil. Also I would remove all exhaust heat shields and other plastic covers to get to hidden areas.

      Hi, thanks for the comment, and suggestion about removing heat shields and plastic covers, our 360 Injector Wand is great for box sections, sill and those hard to reach hidden areas, if removing these are hard to do so. We suggest the Moto Grease first as it is a more concentrated version of the Moto Spray, It provides a heavy-duty protection and a thicker coat - meaning it’s perfect for more vulnerable or prone areas, prevents corrosion and seizing up to things such as nuts and bolts. The Moto Spray can be applied straight on top of the Grease. Hope this is of interest. Thanks

      @@Lanoguard Hi again, so If I don't use the whole bottle in one go, can I keep it for the next time?? How long can I keep after opening?

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  Год назад

      @@krisu918 Hi, Yes it is absolutely fine to use for a top up in the future, The shelf life on the bottle (6 - 9 months) is a guide. Being a natural product, exposure to UV and any air will allow it to degrade over time. It never actually goes past it’s use by date within the bottle. When storing make sure it is stored out of direct sunlight in a dark place. When coming to use it in the future make sure to give it a good shake before use and warming up the liquid prior and if possible during use can help. It is recommended to use within 12 months of purchase. I hope this helps 🙂

    Good job, well done. The safety chocks should have been at the front of the front wheel though

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  3 года назад +1

      Hi John. Thanks Commenting. Re the wheel chocks. You can’t see easily in the video but the driveway is sloping at around 15 degree or more downward angled. So the chocks are in the correct place. :) if you are on a flat driveway then use. They need to be at the front of the wheel for sure.

    thinking of doing this on my 68 Firebird, what are the pit falls and can this be used on the engine

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  2 года назад +1

      Hi, sorry for not replying soon - here is some information about applying Lanoguard to your engine - Lanoguard is good to use for the whole engine bay, avoid fan belts, exhaust manifold (there is no issue with it going on the manifold but due to extreme heat they get up to, Lanoguard will likely burn off as it resists up 4500C.). We recommend spraying moto spray onto the areas you want to protect then wiping the excess off with a cloth. Or wetting a cloth with Lanoguard and wiping that over the areas you wish to protect. Please let us know I you would like some more information.

    What a mess putting wax on rusty components. What good is that going to do ?

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  Год назад

      Hi, Lanoguard is very good for chassis with surface rust and can be happily applied over surface rust. Lanoguard has a natural affinity to ferrous metals so it will creep and seep below the surface rust and bond to the metal underneath. It will also prevent the rust from furthering due to the fact it hermetically seals the surface so no oxygen or moisture can get in. When applied over sound surface rust Lanoguard will darken areas of rust and reduce the vibrancy too and over time will push off the oxidation which is a nice aesthetics benefit. You need of course to remove any flaking or unstable rust, prior to applying but surface rust is fine. Lanoguard cures transparent so you can inspect the surface and see Lanoguard doing its job, hope this helps explain a little about how Lanoguard deals with surface rust

    Embarrassing if you didn't take the plastic covers off. VW have started to really skimp compared to the all over underseal that they started using in the 1980s

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  3 года назад +1

      hi Richard, Lanoguard is designed as an easy DIY solution - our Injector Wand helps to reach the harder to reach areas, whilst still allowing the user to have low prep and reduce time taken to strip down an underbody etc. Of course some may choose to do a more thorough job and remove plastic panelling etc - that's more than okay! :)

  • @BRITISHAERIALVIEWS
    @BRITISHAERIALVIEWS 3 года назад +1

    Looks like a horrible messy job and what's all the brushing grease everywhere about? Too much like hard work and I expect an mot tester would have something to say about the grease. So basically if you clean/jetwash the underside of your car and brush everything with grease you're most of the way there. Then there's plenty of other sprayable products on the market if you want to do that.

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  3 года назад +3

      Hi Terry, the job leaves minimal mess and clean driveways after. We had to do next to no cleanup after this application actually. The Grease is there for highly prone areas, over thick patches of surface rust etc to offer a higher protection. It's not always needed, it's dependent on what you want to use it for. It's easier to brush it on, and although appears a yellow/greenish colour at first, it dries clear within a few days. Hope this clears up some concerns.

      @@Lanoguard why not to go with wire brush for at least the areas you can access? Just apply grease on thick rust and spray couple hours later? Will it not come off in a week or two?

    • @MCAYBOY
      @MCAYBOY 2 года назад +7

      Not at all far less messy than waxoyl that most people have used in the past. Plus it’s clear so you aren’t hiding corrosion like black waxoyl Your MOT tester will be pleased that you are caring for your vehicle and not hiding bad areas. I’ve been under sealing vehicles for nearly twenty years using various products and this stuff is really good
