This all looks great just after it has been covered, but what about after doing some offroading in the rain and the mud? No-one seems to have done a proper "after" test. Shiny and new when sprayed.
@@TheColv hi David the lanoguard is holding up very well, I did my car while up on axle stands and still was able to do a good job, sprayed everything, rubber and plastics too, my car had an MOT last week and I was able to get a good look at the underside while up on the lift, there is no rust coloured metal anywhere, you would easily see any misses when it’s cured , it looks almost black and has a smooth feel to it, infact the reason why I bought Lanoguard in the first place was I had an MOT advisory on a rusted rear subframe, I gave the subframe a light wire brushing before application, I took my car to the same testing station last week and the same mechanic did the test, the subframe was on my mind while he was he was doing the test, the car passed with no advisories, don’t get on your paint work it doesn’t wash off , I’ve splashes on my cills, So David go ahead it does a great job and I’m sure Lanoguard will still be in good shape after the winter but I’ve enough to do the whole job again next Easter, the only criticism would be the filter, it kept blocking so removed it and had no trouble after that, I hope this helps David good luck
Interesting how Lanoguard compared to Waxoyl, it was great been able to see both products applied to almost the same vehicles, Lanoguard wins in my opinion the finish it leaves is superb compared to Waxoyl, I know you used eye protection but my advice is to also wear a mask and some gloves while spraying this product, awesome video buddy...
After seeing the underside - not sure if I would be using the term "fully restored". And could be a good idea to cover the tyres whilst spraying the product. Good video - thanks.
Is there anyone out there who has used this stuff for a long period of time??? Seems to be 100's of reviews of people who have 'just put it on and time will tell' no one longer than a year from a company that has apparently been around for years!...... Sounds to good to be true, you know what they say about that!
So several years on has has the Lanoguard faired compared to the Waxoyl? Have you heard of or used Morris Lubricants Ankor Wax Preservative Fluid? this dries to a non sticky surface.
This product sounds to me a lot like Fluid Film they use it a lot in America and Canada I was going to get some but its not cheap in the UK I ended up using dinitrol brown its fairly transparent on my Jeep WJ it seems to do the job.
Hi max, really enjoyed this video, going to buy this lanogaurd for my Porsche.. been using Bilt Hamber Wax spray , does a great job but every bit of road dirt sticks too it and nightnare to clean !! Was the undercarriage easy to clean after the Lanoguard cured ?? Been looking for a product like this for years !!
I sprayed this on various exposed nuts and bolts under my bonnet and while it has remained in place, it does attract dirt and is not easy to clean off. But, it does protect so I believe that it is more important than looking "clean".
You sied that you carnt coat exhaust,I have been recoating it every mot when it's on the ramp zince spray paint no probs attol been doing it now on same exhaust for four years
You have used Linseed Oil on your other jeep to preserve the "patina" - why don't you use Linseed Oil on the underside of your vehicles? Linseed oil is natural and polymerizes to form a hermetically-sealed hard coating...
Hi there. It’s Mark from Lanoguard. You can for sure put on the exhaust.it will stay there too. It is heat resistant to 450 degrees. It will burn off at there or thereabouts and above that. Hope this helps.
@@Lanoguard but what does it actually do ? It just looks like clear coat , what's stopping the rust from coming through ? Does it do anything to the rust ? How does it protect better than wax oil?
@@joebutlersnr7017 i think this too, I'd think the rust is eating away underneath. I use acf50 as it's clear and actively termintes rust. I hope lanoguard corrects me though!
Waxoil is far superior to the lanogaurd which washes off, waxoil also heals any stonechips, I've tried numerous products and waxoil definitely wins hands down.
⚠️1 year down the line is what matters. What is looks like when spraying on is totally irrelevant ! I've tried them all. Underseal peels off and is heavy. Granville Spray chain grease is the cheapest and long lasting. Just top up the rusty edges every year. £6 per can. 3 cans required initially then just 1 can per year at MOT to top up.
@@krystiangruszczynski4555 stranger things have happened. A source of lanolin is from crushed sheep heads, there is a big factory I think up in Cumbria that processes them, whhere do you think all of the heads go after slaughter?
s casNot a useful test as it needs to be evaluated 6 months down the line! When it's first sprayed on anything will look good. It's the durability that is critical, and nine of these types of products are cheap. Bring this car back in 6 months and let's see how it has fared.

Jacked up cars can kill; two axle stands minimum or ramps needed. Listen, listen, LISTEN!
What a fantastic review very in-depth and detailed , probably the best lanoguard review I’ve come across , it’s looking great under there!!
Glad you enjoyed it! - thanks for that - nice to hear 👍
Just received my Lanoguard and looking forward to doing my 16 year old Avensis when the weather warms up, the reviews are very impressive.
How is the Lanoguard holding up for you after 7 months?
I’ve just about to apply it to my 1973 Ford Granada…

Mines arriving tomorrow 😄
Can u go over rust please ??
Thanks for the footage my friend 😊❤👍🇬🇧
Surely the best option is to use both, Waxoyl where it suits and lanogurd everywhere else. That's what I'm doing on my Ranger next week.

I use fluid film spray it has the same ingredient and is thicker like wax oil.
Thinking of trying lanoguard soon.

Exactly what I was thinking looks like its been shown a shiny coat of paint on top and that's about it
Mustie1 uses chain oil and kerosene to good effect. Doesn't wash off and stays flexible, lasts for years
Brilliant video Max superb demo of the product. I'll be buying some soon
i dont really care about how good it is getting in the nooks. does it protect better than waxoyl?
Looks good. Think I'll be using Lanogard on my Xtrail when the weather warms up.
I've used waxoil before but never that impressed with their products.
I will be doing my 1999 Swift Gazelle and my 1976 Eldis Tornado Caravan on.
If you don't care about finish, is it still better than waxoyl?
Super helpful thank you !!
In what way is lanolin better than boiled linseed oil?
Thanks for the vid mate. How is the underside looking after a year? Did it last okay?
Covered in rust and dropping to bits

How often have you found you need to re-apply after the initial application (how long does it last?) Thanks.
Lanoguard website says re-apply every 12 months
if you wipe waxoil with a gloved hand after application then you wont see it after its dried. I will try Lanoguard though as it looks interesting
How is the lanoguard doing
Is it still good now?

go to lanoguard direct they sell a kit that includes everything.

Is it fully restored?
Is this a euro version of Fluid Film?
