And Brits know exactly what he means! 😂
@@dadjv1926 the only time Brits are bilingual is when speaking metric and imperial 🤣
It's a good value EV I like the 100 KW charging but I still like my Zoe GT LINE, I bought it for £15k at two years old with 9k miles. You can buy these now for around £10k to £13k a bargain.
You were robbed, nobody wants to buy used EVs. should have just thrown your money in the trash.🤣
No I have a g'teed value buy back at the end of the lease. The cost of this car has been minimal due to getting 1.2%apr deal & 7p per KW charging at home. It's been the best and cheapest motoring I've ever known. You're another one who probably rides only a bike.
@@stevenc5227😂 what a load of rubbish, I also own a Zoe Gtline. It's saving me £2000 per year in fuel and I've had it 4 years now and thanks to Octopus energy and their EV go tariff my household electricity bill has halved saving me £1800 a year so total savings of £3800 per year which wipes the floor with any extra depreciation that may have occurred.
@@stevenc5227 Used Tesla's went up in value a little after the spring this year. That's demand at work.
In the early 1990s we had to take out a big loan for 3 to 5 years, and that was on a used model. The only other options were sharing a family member's car if they were stupid enough to let you, or to go and buy some old banger for a few hundred pounds and slowly work up from there. So not sure where 20yr olds would find the money for an electric car.
They lease, as do alot of people
@@AdrianMcDaid That is still a regular monthly amount to have to find though. Probably a struggle on an average wage, which can be very low. Once you have paid your board money to your parents or paid rent to a landlord, food bill and other comittments there is not much leftover. Then there is car insurance etc, which has been out of this world sky high for young drivers for years. I know some people have more than one job these days, but still.
@@EgoShredder not very one is on the breadline, of course some are.. I'm assuming your older gentleman.5k car, money borrowed still has payment. Cut your cloth according as you mite say.
You can buy second hand EV from £3000! Arnold Clark have some latest 40kw leafs for under £10,000 with cheap finance couples that with cheap charging, it's unbeatable. Still free road tax.
@@jcfallows That sounds better.
My wife got a Corsa electric last September so pre-facelift for a smidge under £20k. Its a perfectly good local and town car, drives well, fast enough, certainly compared to its ICE equivalents.
The range in Winter is about 150, Summer about 190.
All round a decent car, we would never go on a road trip in it but that's what my P2 is for.
I reckon if the charging speed is twice the battery size then its met needs. Faster may be good, but makes little or no difference on a long trip if you time stops with comfort breaks.
I actually prefer the look of the pre face lift model, I have always liked the design, I prefer it to the Peugeot alternative, I don't like new vehicle dashboards, that's probably just my age, I just like proper gauges, I would buy an electric Corsa, probably one of the best looking super minis, if the infrastructure was there in this part of the country, and not being credit worthy I can't pay for electricity, I still like the orange and black or the dark blue, I also prefer proper handbrakes in cars, I've recently purchased the nearest I'm going to get to an electric vehicle, a Honda Jazz hybrid, basically a mild hybrid
Hi guys, greetings from Oxford. I’m 58YO, when I was a lad, the big battle for market domination was between Ford and Vauxhall. Sadly, both these iconic brands are becoming increasingly irrelevant in today’s car market. Most of the value market seems to have gone to KIA and Hyundai these days. I think both Ford and Vauxhall are struggling to find their identity, and Vauxhall is now part of the struggling Stelantis group, I just don’t see a future for Vauxhall anymore.
Vauxhalls ,re badged Peugeots ,in the main.
I definitely agree about the usable performance.
I daily a 40kWh Nissan Leaf and at 150hp it's quick enough to be fun, but it tapers off at NSL. Although because it's so quiet you can easily get up to 80 without realising.
I used my mother's Audi E-Tron a few weeks back, it has 400hp and does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, and its too quick. I was overtaking a car doing 35 in a 60, put my foot flat to the floor to get past, and by the time I passed I wasn't far off triple digits.
She also had her Smart Fortwo EQ as her runabout and despite only having 70hp, off the line it feels just as quick!
about 35mph off triple digits I suspect ;-)

We bought our 2020 Corsa e 2 years ago when we had to hand back our Tesla Model 3 after changing jobs. We drove 10k miles in the first 6 months and even took it from Cheshire to France. It’s a great usable vehicle. We use it less since our Model Y arrived!
The cheapest unused Corsa-e I've recently seen was a pre-registered (May 2024) GS 50 in white with a black roof at an Arnold Clark dealership for £18,999 as I recall. This is now reserved.
But a very good all-rounder for the money, and I like the registration plate on your car.
I have a 2020 Corsa EV and I'm more than happy with it, the only downside is the efficiency is a bit crap.
Yea, EV database says 125 miles on a motorway in winter. That's no good.
@@sargfowler9603isn’t that based in n - 10C temperature? Luckily in UK we hardly see that. Mostly mild wet winters. My Mokka e did about 140 - 150 in winter. Admittedly not great!
@@joolsmorgan7032 Yes, -10c. Is that full range for 150 miles? if you're doing a long journey and go 10% - 80% that'll make it around 100 miles.

I drove the old Corsa and e-208, and they were OK! However, I've seen lots of reports of reliability problems, and I wouldn't own one long term off lease or out of warranty.
Everytime you guys say Corsa all I can envisage is Richard Hammond on Top Gear when he takes one(ICE) on a hill climb and Clarkson & May say something like "Corsa driver" and pull weird faces as Richard starts off in his Corsa.
I leased a corsa E 3 years ago and haven’t looked back! Great little car, now have a 6 month old and it fits pram etc and a small case in the boot no problem! Who needs a big car when you have kids!!
45000 miles and no problems.
Word of warning, either don’t do dealer servicing or have an argument with them because they charge the same price for servicing the petrol or electric versions…
130 Horse Power for the entry level still sounds too high for younger drivers. Nice to see that the Corsa is available around £20k though.
Aygo has what 68hp that's a basic starter low cost running car.
But imagine this car is a hell of a lot heavier 😅
A new Corsa in 2019 was £ 9641. Strange how the concept of good value has changed so quickly. Very good channel, keep up the informative content.
@@GavinMurdoch-cr8zk That was when car manufacturers were chasing quantity. The game changed after COVID and they now chase margin. That's why Ford have scrapped the Fiesta and Focus, Audi are scrapping the A1, Mercedes ending A class, Kia ending Rio and Dacia dropping lower specs and doubling the RRP starting price on their cars.
You can get a 50kw 134bhp 2024 Corsa design with 1 mile on the clock for £15,949. There are pleanty of different trim levels with
Just did the same search! I didn't think anyone bought an EV for list price? They're always leased/PCP?
Yes but for £16k you can get a better and more reliable EV with a 64kWh battery that will be in warranty for longer. Kia Soul or Kona for example. Just check they have all their main dealer service stamps at the correct intervals.
@@decimal1815 You're going to have to go back a few years with mileage to match the Corsa

Great video as usual gents. If you want value for money there are brand new Nissan leaf Tekna Fully spec'ed models on autotrader for under £18K . Now there's a CHAdeMO - CCS charger adapter for £775 available on line.
Great review. I thought the battery kWh sizes were 50 for the original car and around 45 usable but the new battery is 55 with around 51 usable? That would account for the extra miles the bigger battery car covers.
If you want a facelift one, wait a year and you'll pick up a very low mileage ex demo ultimate version for under £20k. 1st year depreciation is huge on these.
@@stuartjohnston1086 you can get one for £20k new, depreciation isn’t that bad, you’re looking at list price, not realistic price.
just the cost of it is the issue 26K and it should be 20K and then a winner for the market as it feeds down into the second hand market
@@ianrob4760 It is £20k!?
I have a choice , head vs heart , either a 2020 model 3 long range with 130000 miles , or a 2023 Citroen e c4 chine plus with 20000 miles . Both are just under £15k .
My daughter has the pre-facelift model (Elite spec) and it's a decent car, nothing fancy or showy, it just does what it says it will do. She has no qualms about taking on long motorway journeys as the fast charging makes for a quick top up stop.
IMO the looks will age less quickly than its Stellantis cousins. Well put together as well.
I have a 2021 Corsa-e, the stated range of 190 miles on a full charge with the 50kW is a big lie, so unless the new version has changed this, the real world range if 120 miles in the summer and 90 miles in the winter
Recently picked up a 'new' one of these cars 'Ultimate' showroom car [10 miles on clock] marked down to £20k...!! Great value for a great little car...!!

I’ve never seen anyone under the age of about 23 driving an EV. Most are either living with parents, at uni or renting at ridiculous cost with no availability of home charging.
Rather than an exhaust we should just start mounting the 6x9's in the bumper 😉
They can make it louder with a piece of cardboard and a peg on the wheel spokes.
Given even the cheapest Corsa is doing 8 seconds (or less) 0-60 - is this potentially going to price out young drivers due to the insurance on these "quick" cars? Back when I was learning to drive the basic Corsa did 0-60 in 17 seconds!!
Good vid of what looks like a great value EV. Don't get em in Australia though. 😔
Guessing (like in Ireland, and I think NZ) you'll get the Opel Corsa in OZ ~ it's the same thing, built in the same factory in Spain. Not sure about pricing, but I hear EVs in OZ are cheap at the moment...
Always thought they looked better than the Peugeot, won't date like that will, classy but classless.
How much extra does it cost to have it painted? That lacquered primer colour in the test car looks dreadful.
I must admit, I don't like the primer grey colour
Not sure if I'd buy one of these out of manufacturer's warranty unless things have changed dramatically recently.. Probably a good buy new though, if anyone still actually buys new cars? Then sell it on before the manufacturer's warranty expires and the exppensive problems start.
I just drove my first ever EV and it was a Corsa. I can't say I was too impressed but it wasn't really a fair test but the controls weren't very intuitive and really I should have read the manual first but didn't think it was necessary. I spent ages going through the menu trying to find any sort of efficiency display, apparently you need to push something at the end of one of the steering wheel stalks. Driving it was okay but really didn't get much time to judge, didn't get time to test things like regen braking (not on by default) or cruise control. Felt a bit big and unwieldy for me and the driving position felt quite low and pretty dark inside, the sort of thing that'd really appeal to a teenage boy desperate to look tough.
The main thing that puts me off any Stelantis car is the lack of a true 360 camera.
Having Nissans for the last 15 years means it's something i couldn't live without.
Sure, they have the feature where it fills in the blanks using the reversing camera (and optionally with a front camera), but it's just not the same!
I went to test drive a leaf, the salesman got me to try the Citroen e-C4 as well, I liked both.
I wanted the 360° camera of the Leaf, but I have to fold the mirrors to get down the drive, and the the leaf rotated the image with the mirrors folded, the Citroen basically stitched the rear cam to make a false 360° view, one of the reasons I went e-C4e, which really surprised me, and still surprises me I went French after so many years of Japanese.
@@BishBashBosh29... See, that's the thing I hate. The side view isn't live, so if something moves you can't tell!
I also really like the view where you can see just the front passenger side wheel to make sure you don't kerb the wheel!
@@animationcreations42 I agree totally, I naively though the Citroen side Cameras rotated with the wing mirrors, eventually I sussed how they worked!
Maybe Andy will test camera the mirrors in and out in the future so I don't make the same mistake again, LOL
You need a camera to drive a Corsa 🤦 any car? Retake your test.
@@stepheng8779 I wouldn't pay to add one, but if its there as standard might as well add it to the arsenal, rude not to ;-)
Any type of damage to the rear of the vehicle will result in a massive bill for a huge molded rear panel or even worse the battery which will write off the car.
MG4 for me any day.
I've seen pre-registered with delivery milage on Autotrader for £16k over the last month. Sure its the bottom of the range Design spec but it is hard to argue with £16k.
Cheers guys
It's ok, but doesn't have the panache of a peugeot e208, its a bit councill estate to be honest, but nice to see improved ranges in this segment.

Yet another car that tortures us by only having heated seats on the premium model. It's the biggest thing for making a car actually comfortable and usable in the winter. Boot looks very big for a supermini, is it bigger than on a 208?
11:43 HARRY! 🌬😆
There going to change the name of the glove box because who wears gloves in a car nowadays, heated steering wheel etc , sweet box etc 😊👍👍
since that was the 'ultimate' model....did either of you try the massage function on the drivers seat? im curious if its good or gimmick, to either delete or keep it on my shortlist for december
@@Grant.G.Simpson It’s a basic massage seat. Just pushes the lumbar support in and out. It’s not like a proper one that has ‘knuckles’ going up and down the whole seat and on the base too.
It’s not really a massage seat for me.
If it’s based on the E208 the battery is woefully poor put me right off EV until I got a 58 kWh battery more useable range I would not buy an EV with a 50 kWh battery unless they can make it do the same range as 58

@@steve_787 It is.
It's a hard choice. If you have £16k for a pre reg Corsa do you buy that or do you buy a pre reg MX-30. The MX-30 is a much nicer place to be than the Corsa. But the range is shocking. But if you only need the range a few times a year is it worth putting up with the Corsa for its range. 🤔
It may even give MG a run for their money
