This man never grafted. Just plodded his way through bare bones basic jobs but made them in to what you'd think were intricately planned new build power plants, when they were just rewires and solar jobs. But priced the same as a power plant refurb. Jordan is totally delusional, how someone can turn over a million quid in a year in this game and only make 40k of profit (self professed last year) shows how much he doesn't know what he's doing. He just bombards people with marketing and I bet he spends a bomb on leads companies plus advertising spend. He says he's "working" in the south of France, all he's doing is chatting shit to leads on the phone and trying to get work in. It's embarrassing.
When the boss starts a life swanning around in the sunshine, the workers will eventually lose their enthusiasm for working their socks off to give you a life of luxury. A very unwise move.
Whilst I don't dissagree, this is how most companies in the west work. The lowest paid often hold the most personal risk. Especially small companies like this which are limited liability companies and the directors / owners aren't personally liable for anything that happens. They can easily just pack up on the business and open up a new one the next day with minimal personal loss whilst the 'workforce' can be let go with a moments notice.
Not interested!! Jordan's lifestyle does not interest me. His, look at me, look how wonderful I am attitude is getting on my nerves. Where are all the videos of the guys on the tools doing proper electrical work. I'm not at all impressed with the way this channel is evolving at all. It's not all about Jordan the egotistical maniac. Get back to letting some of the sparks make the videos.
Let's talk about Monsieur le Magnate, shall we? Here we have a chap, not just playing at being the lord of the manor, but doing so from the sunny vineyards of France, no less. While his employees are wrestling with wires and dodging electrical sparks back in Blighty, this modern-day aristocrat sips his Château de Posh, utterly convinced he's at the helm of a multi-million pound empire. Imagine the scene: he's lounging on a chaise, probably named something like "Le Grand Lounger," scrolling through spreadsheets on his tablet with one hand, while the other waves dismissively at the notion of actually setting foot on a job site. "Work from home?" More like "Work from Château. Now, from an outside perspective on humanity, this is peak comedy. Here's a fellow who thinks he's conducting an orchestra of electrons from across the Channel, perhaps believing leadership is all about delegating the 'shocking' work while he's 'grounded' in luxury. The irony? His company might just be as well-connected as a British electrical socket - which is to say, not very, if we're keeping with the international electrical standards humor. And let's not forget, while he's dreaming of expanding his 'empire' into another yacht or perhaps a small island, his actual empire might just be flickering like a bulb on its last filament back home. But does he care? Non! As long as the cheese is brie and the view is très magnifique, all's right in his world. This fellow's life is the epitome of "out of sight, out of mind," where the only 'current' he's worried about is the stream of fine wines flowing into his glass, blissfully unaware that in the real world, his business might just be one power surge away from a total blackout. But, c'est la vie, or as they might say in his adopted homeland, "Quelle farce!"

In the past, there were lots of videos on electricals, solar installations and so every other week. Now it's mostly overviews on products, vlogs and I think that's why people are losing interest. Back to those various installs of solar, ev chargers and electrical, watch people running back.
Hi Jordan -- long time viewer & software engineer by day at an investment bank. Very interesting to see your paths cross into the s/w industry, maybe this is why I have such interest in electrics!
With commercial solar, is it also looking at lithium battery storage, or do you look at some of the other battery technologies too like Liquid Vanadium flow batteries?
I’m interested in how you are now tracking all job costs and profits. Are you still using Tradify or have you advance onto something with better reporting. Can you share with us?
We use SimPro now for our cost tracking, it’s still not perfect I hate it sometimes - Tradify is way more user friendly but it didn’t allow us to track costs and P&L on every job. It’s all a work in progress and we are constantly evaluating our systems to see if we can improve things.
@@artisanelectrics ah yes I am just starting my journey with SimPro after using Tradify for around 4 years. I agree Tradify is very user friendly, I will miss it I’m sure.
I have to be brutally honest here, because i actually really enjoyed your content. No one is really interested in behind the scenes of the business, or you telling stories, or comparing products. We want to see the team out on the tools. I'm a telecomms engineer, not a spark, but I loved watching the lads working. I picked up a few tips and tricks here and there, eapecially from Corey. You need to get back to that. Take a back step, run the business, and get someone in that can get out there day to day with the team showing the work on the ground. You dont have to be the face of the business anymore. It worked when you lived in England.

Been there got the T-shirt. Good luck running your company and growing it to be stronger and more successful. 👍👍👍
@@artisanelectrics Misplaced positivity, unfortunately. I hope you're getting the message, Jordan. Your best option now is to sell your business to your employees at a discounted price and let them be their own bosses.
I heard the phrase "people will hang you with the same rope you climb up on" and judging bu the comments it appears to be true. Everyone is behind you when you're building to create an independant life, but once you get it and can step back from the grind then people resent you for it.
Eugh, there's nothing more awkward than your boss "interviewing" you/performance reviews. I don't know where they learn it from but listen, we come to work for money, we don't like you, we don't want to talk to you, we want to do the job and go home to people we like.
People seem to be giving him a lot of grief about not being on the tools, or living abroad etc. I've worked with sparks who try and manage their business while staying on the tools and it's a disaster in most cases. If he's creating jobs and working for his team, providing income and security to employees that's positive in my eyes.

Fair play .. if you can make it work, I see no issue. Happy wife, happy life. If others have an issue, it is their problem, their green eye jealousy and attitude. It is your life, make it work for you, they can make their lives work for them. In this modern and online work life, I know several people who live in Northern France and commute via the Channel Tunnel. I heard of 4 people who own their own light aircraft and also live in France and fly into Lydd Airport Monday, and fly back Friday. Houses in France are cheaper, life is mostly cheaper and a lot more pleasant, flights are not expensive and the average weather better - so it isn't the financial rip-off that people can think it is. If it provides work and a fair income for the staff, I see no problem. Good to see Ruben carving his path.

Turned into a shitty reality TV show. I've completely lost interest now.
I don’t understand, is this guy making videos about being some sort of celebrity electrician? Is this a wind up like a shittier version of David Brent? The world has gone fuc*en mental.
This channel used to show some cracking work and now it's just about throwing 💩
In the past, there were lots of videos on electricals, solar installations and so every other week. Now it's mostly overviews on products, vlogs and I think that's why people are losing interest. Back to those various installs of solar, ev chargers and electrical, watch people running back.
Guess I'll be watching more Nick Bundy 😛
You only live once....if at all possible, do what makes you happy.
Did anyone else think David Brent when Jordan interviewed Ruban!!
Classic 😂
Hi Jordan -- long time viewer & software engineer by day at an investment bank. Very interesting to see your paths cross into the s/w industry, maybe this is why I have such interest in electrics!
Awesome! You can check out OpenQuote here - www.openquote.net I would love to know your thoughts.
@@artisanelectrics Tradify sponsorship end?
@@user-vy2xn5ul5e probably, this channel stopped making videos and the key people like Jon and Corey left
Thanks for the feedback - some people have been asking me how the business is going and wanting an update which is why I created this video but clearly it’s not everyone’s cuppa tea
@@artisanelectrics i would be willing to wager that was a very small number of people asking for updates on the back end stuff, every comment ive seen on this video is asking for you to go back to your roots of filming electrical work.
The folks made redundant send there regards while you live it up in the south of france
“Live it up”. If that’s what you call living it up. I’d hate to see how it’s going for you haha
this is the problem with the uk in these comments everyone dreams of getting of the tools and running a team and earning a few quid without busting your balls but when someone else is doing it its a massive problem
Chill out people. Save yourself for things to come.
Thank you
Forgot this channel existed
i know i used to watch these videos a lot when Corey was around
Great to see the old guys miss them 😎
Since Corey left, and the first venture abroad I haven’t watched many Videos from Artisan.
I am not an electrician, but found the videos interesting and informative
But found myself less and less interested. I suppose from when you left the UK the first time…
Me too
yup nobody wants to see VLOG vacation travels, his channel got popular for the electrical work shown, now its just a bunch of BS behind a membership paywall.
OY Electrical is catching up on subscribers 😮
I would say that you are not taking your business seriously enough , but what do I know, you obviously have one of your employees that you trust to hold the Fort while you are away
Company seems very top heavy now, seems there is more office staff than site staff? With a company this size I have absolutely no idea how you are making this work.
As they say in Oz - Good on ya mate!
Good to see someone happy and successful doing interesting stuff with their lives 👏
Congratulations Lee!
I left your channel when you left the country the last time and it all went tits up and you lost control and started laying off staff , the first video I’ve watched since and low and behold Deja vu , in this video you talked again about laying off staff , you got it in the neck from subscribers the last time and felt sorry for yourself and here we are again , know wonder poor Rubin is one of your longest employees, real shame.
Yeah when Corey left and he sacked Jon that was the spiral downwards for this channel, used to be fantastic
Yeah never watch anymore. Cory was the channel!
I am so sorry. I’ve watched your channel since the beginning and I think that this video is a mistake on your part.
Why?
@@artisanelectrics I am sure It was not your intent but it makes you seem arrogant, a bit ‘Billy big bollocks’.
Thanks for the update, Jordan! All the best with the software venture. And wow, look at Reuben now. Four years. Yikes. The early starts and early finishes are the standard thing for tradies down under. Cheers
Haha thanks Jim! Great to see Reuben's progress eh!
@@artisanelectrics sure is!
Preferred the old videos 😢
Enjoy watching your videos, especially as I am from Holcombe Hill in Ramsbottom !! .
Thanks for watching!
"Artisan Media"
Good luck with the new lifestyle. Wish you all the best!
I wonder if John’s watched this video…👀
Hi Jordan, just back to watch Artisan after being away for a long time. Good luck buddy with the current evolution of your company. I totally get the situation where you moved to France as your wife wanted to be back besides her family...its a big consideration and one that puts you and the business under a lot of pressure. Been there got the T-shirt. Good luck running your company and growing it to be stronger and more successful. 👍👍👍
Thanks very much for the positivity! ❤
@@artisanelectrics Misplaced positivity, unfortunately. I hope you're getting the message, Jordan. Your best option now is to sell your business to your employees at a discounted price and let them be their own bosses.
@@KendalSmithy Your opinion buddy, thanks for taking the time to it.
Hi im an electrician from malaysia.got 8 years of expiriance here. I need a bit guidens about how can i start work as an electrician in USA
I heard the phrase "people will hang you with the same rope you climb up on" and judging bu the comments it appears to be true.
Everyone is behind you when you're building to create an independant life, but once you get it and can step back from the grind then people resent you for it.
So James’s green screen makes it look like you’re in Marseilles? Clever stuff 👍
How NOT to keep viewers ....and influence people 😢 Goodbye
What a K&ob
Haven't seen much of lee in recent videos. Shout out to the haverhill massive brap brap.
Seems a tricky juggling act, more so with all the offshoots and media tracking. Totally get why you'd try.
Eugh, there's nothing more awkward than your boss "interviewing" you/performance reviews. I don't know where they learn it from but listen, we come to work for money, we don't like you, we don't want to talk to you, we want to do the job and go home to people we like.
He needs to start lifting, get a hair transplant and a neck tattoo and I’d believe him.
Cats away.....mice will play 😮
People seem to be giving him a lot of grief about not being on the tools, or living abroad etc. I've worked with sparks who try and manage their business while staying on the tools and it's a disaster in most cases. If he's creating jobs and working for his team, providing income and security to employees that's positive in my eyes.
Love these weekly vlog videos and great to get a catch up on the status of everything. Not an electrician but a business owner, loving all the current content and nice to see everything is going better. Glad to see you are taking care of yourselves as well as the company. All the best!
Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Lots of hate in the comments but clearly not business owners 😂
Sounds like this man is only concerned about protecting his lifestyle, won’t bother watching any more it’s annoying 👎
Dudes going to be a content creator full time eventually
Aye to the 5 followers he'll have left
I thought you needed to sack staff to survive etc etc and now you're living in Southern France. . unsubscribed... Corey clearly made the right call
Did you even watch the video LOL
@@artisanelectrics watched the first 10 minutes of it before finally giving up on the channel. I loved your early videos when you were focusing on electrics but ego clearly took over. I wish you and your partner the best and hope you take things in a more positive direction.
@@manyshnookssure Jordan will be fine with his other 251k subscribers😅
@@artisanelectrics Agree with the sentiment but no need for the 'LOL'... Either ignore, shadowban or explain your position. Seems a bit off laughing at one of your viewers. Your decisions cost people their livelihoods. No amount of time makes that right. It's good you've got the company into a more stable position but Laughing at people over this is very low...
What did you expect him to do? Give up on what makes him happy and not move to France? To keep people employed who are clearly capable of getting other work easily
Beautiful stuff to see your business doing so well.
Much love from Australia 🦘⚡
Keep going man, I don’t know why these people are getting upset. Take it easy on yourself too and keep your head up!
Living your best life. You will get massive amounts of jealousy from people here that CANNOT do what you do!
They are stuck, in their job, in their life and in this country.
Life should NEVER stand still. Keep it going!
Yeah the hate in the comments is mad. Like he's not allowed to have a work life balance. Good luck to him I say, life's too short.
Absolutely agreed! I've seen quite a few unnecessary comments, but that's just part of the journey. If you don't have opponents or jealous people, it might mean you're not on the right path. Keep up the fantastic work, Artisan team!
@@Silhouettek I disagree. The content has changed. Its now about management b@!!@€£$ and contracts, not about the coal face end, where experienced sparkles helped apprentices to learn. Jordan is fully entitled to his work life balance, but in doing do, he has lost the plot which built his following on RUclips imho. Its a shame, and this isn't based on jealously or hate but comparison.
@@mikeypc3592 It is NOT hate, it's people who care trying to show him the reality of what he's doing.
Hi, good news... Would you be willing to take on a job in Croatia?
Nice to see the good guys grow in the team
Openquote; did your mom find that photo on the website 😃
Well done Jordan ❤
Thanks 🙏
how did you get a long stay shengen visa?
Such shame this channel has gone downhill, I miss the days of actual electrical work instead if these sponsorship bs videos
Enjoy France. 🇫🇷
Goodbye
Probably costing more to live in uk for a week than living there full time, don’t you own a house in england?
Yeah life here is pretty reasonable - no I don’t own a home anywhere yet
You used to have a good channel you ruined it
What a great way to run people and a company
More videos of installing stuff and showing us old mates shoddy wiring jobs.
Haha those were fun videos to make - I don’t get so many opportunities to do those now but we have a corker coming up soon…
@@artisanelectrics get back on the job site man and go back to your roots before all your subs leave
Rubens thinking of becoming a plumber ;)
🤣
Jordan why don't let your team handle the vids?
Your multitasking to much, micromanage has its downside. It be great if you do a collab vid with john faultless. It would mean alot
France is getting expensive supermarket food is awful, if you work here the tax and social charges are terrible and they are going up every year for the next 3 years. Wine is cheap so are houses not as cheap as it once was. Roads are great
@@CookWithWood-iz5hi so I understand about food and DIY material costs ... but the roads, houses etc make it better than UK
@@mdshovel it’s all about location, but if Mr Artisan can make it work for him that’s great but realistically how long can he keep this up also the vids have gone downhill a bit
Need to get back to the old school stuff. The actual graft people wanna see that. Im sure i speak for many of us we dont care about how good teslas new powerwall is. We like to see the ins and outs of the job the pain in the arse jobs the dodgy electrics.
Just unsubscribed. Oy ftw
What a sad little life Jordan
