- Hey everyone, welcome back to another video! We've been very busy as of late but we finally got around to installing the beautiful catback exhaust system from TFL Italy which is 100% hand made in Italy! This exhaust system comes with resonators to enhance the sound profile, but it's also available without them if you're looking to save a couple hundred bucks. The whole system saves a good amount of weight over the stock unit and I'm sure we've picked up some horsepower in the process. The tone and sounds that come from this exhaust are absolutely magical and transform the overall fun factor of this car for me. Don’t forgot to add a valve controller.
I just added one to my catback plus midpipe setup (Dinan) and it completely transformed the sound. I was frankly shocked. The stock valve system doesn’t open fully and now I can tell the difference . It feels faster as well and about 20% louder and has even more crisp sound between 3k and 5k. At high load and 6k to 7k the rasp gasp tone is gone which is interesting. Just based on the video I’d say your car sounds better than mine tone wise initially and now they sound similar.
I went with SST valve controller giving 4 setting options- full open, full closed, a throttle sensitive setting which will go full open than close when off, and 50% fixed open.
Not a bad idea, how exactly does the valve controller work? Do you replace the stock ones with some other sort of mechanism?
It replaces the oem control system and plugs and plays in line with current wiring , it takes 15min probably 10min for you tops. The only issue is the oem exhaust button won’t be functional . I use the homelink for two of my settings . The bonus is some power, seems to spool faster and more spicy down low

They sound pretty similar and it looks like the FI is more expensive compared to TFL ITALY with my discount. Kind of shocking because TFL is made in Italy while FI is made in Taiwan.

Fair enough, if that happens I'll just upgrade to high flow cats for more volume. Resonators + high flow cats = hopefully no rasp
