Quick question i have a 1k hp whipple ls376 car with full 3 inch exhaust every single cutout exhaust valve i have installed i have blown the valve out under boost if it is closed when i go wide open throttle will yours actually hold up to the boost pressure and if by chance it blows out will you stand behind your product
Usually for valved exhaust you gotta have valves open when under wot, so you don't blow the valves in any car, even cars with less then 200hp. Valved exhaust is just so that you can quiet your exhaust when you need to and have loud when you need to, if you can go wot then you don't need to have the valves closed lol, its just going to be more and more money from buying more and more valves or different exhaust systems by going wide open throttle with valves closed lol. And usually companies explain that to the customer and advise to not go wot with valves closed.
2 Questions: 1. Can I wire it to a switch (relay controlled by switch) instead of using remote? 2. Is it open or closed only or can there be a partial open? (Mostly just curious, not needed)
Is it possible to tune the vehicle with the valves open for more power and if done this way will there be any effect of closing the valves? Hope this makes sense...tuning as if it was a muffler delete? I doubt it's making much a difference in power regardless.
from a reddit thread: "I had a one on my turbocharged '95 civic way back in the day. I had a 2.5" downpipe to the cat, then stock from the cat back so I could cruise around pretty much silently and still have a little turbo fun for getting up the hills. I put the cut-out in the downpipe so it was about two feet from the turbo. It was loud as fuck when open but man would the turbo spool quick. It didn't leak at all when closed. At the time i was tuned using Crome if I recall correctly and had two tunes that I could switch between if the cut out was open or not. So i'd have to open the cut-out, then switch to use the second tune. Two switches on my dash - it was badass at the time but I'd never screw around with it now."
@@Dnasty1 With valve side facing rear of vehicle, it forces erxhaust gas to spend more time in the muffler casing making it a small bit quieter with valves closed
I have the send question, so other than sound, any other differences ? My local shop welded with valve facing the front of the car. Any issues with that ? should I go back ? @valvetronic
I have a 21 Acura TLX Type S & no one to my knowledge has installed this on one yet. I already have high flow cats installed & a full cat-back valvetronic exhaust but I no longer want the valves closed & I like the sound of this muffler better because it sounds similar to a straight pipe
Sound is gonna vary based on the engine size and other exhaust differences. Ur Acura I imagine is a v6. The car in the video is a straight 6 I'm imagining
I just bout your guys muffler and I’m having trouble getting the valves to open. I checked the tube to make sure it wasn’t leaking and it was fine. The vacuum box turns on but won’t turn the valves. Maybe it doesn’t have enough suction ?? How can I fix it.

Is there an option to control the valves via toggle switch rather than a remote key fob?

You can use the homelink buttons! and no its only fully open or fully closed

What is the difference in sound when using the muffler with the valve facing front vs the valve facing back of the vehicle?
theres a slight difference. We recommend installing with valve at the rear of the vehicle if possible

Fused connection from the battery to a relay. The relay is controlled by something that gives 12 volts when the key is in.
