  • Footage of the Husqvarna 240 check valve / vent fix, leak down down test of the tank and block with Mityvac 8500, compression test and checking the final result of this full rebuild on a winter camp trip.       Thanks! Glad you liked it. Hopefully it helps others. I had fun doing the rebuild video as well as this final one testing the finished product. It all turned out well and the saw still runs like new. Might do a another saw soon. Same guy who gave me the 240 has an old 66 from what I gather just needs a new piston/cylinder, fuel lines and carb kit. Figure I'll rebuild it for the cost of parts as a favour for giving me that 240. If I do I'll film that one.

      @caddisguy that sounds great! I've got an 064 that's been ported (not by me) that gets used almost everyday that I cut or mill. 24" for bucking and 36" for slabbing. Picked up an husky 281 to use for bucking, cause it can pull a 36" which I need in the big maple and walnut. Got issues with it though.

      Oh no! That's not good. I hope mine lasts. I have not had any issues but I have only used it on small engines to around 8psi
