Once a month is ok if you have thick, thick hair. Most folks have to wash 7 to 14 days. Great tips, though

I used to have to wash my hair weekly! It would literally start itching at day 7 like clockwork. One month I just couldn’t wash it weekly and I ended up stretching to a month. It works I would never believe it until tried it. Also when I did itch I sprayed sea breeze astringent in scalp! It helped me! Now I spray with sea breeze astringent just cuz it feels great!

Yeah the over washing is not necessary it actually sometimes makes things worse. Washing it once a month definitely helped me to heal my scalp ! This is my first time hearing of sea breeze astringent I would definitely look in to it !

I started this the longest I have gone is 14 days I’m going to try one month soon. A bore brush and wood combs are key to help scalp break up sebum and clean scalp.

This would make the scalp worse for most people because bacteria grows on the scalp and inflammation can get worse, it can cause hairloss.
The follicles need to be clean, otherwise the dirt clockes them, then they can't breath anymore.
You're lucky that it didn't happen to you.

I wish I could go a month but I work out 5 days a week and do oil massages 2 to 3 times a week...
It starts smelling bad and the sweat dries out my hair by the end of the week

Omg once a month ? Idk if I can do it. My scalp starts itching and is sore after 4 days. The longest I can push is a week or a week and a half.

Yep,It really works for me to prevent damage from heating tools and manipulation but you need to do what works for you and your hair

@@headwrapnest1316 how do I train myself to go longer without washing my hair ? Does oiling your scalp help with the itching or soreness?

Tea tree oil helps mixed with a light oil or water for itchy scalp as your scalp adjusts … if your interested in stretching your washes start slow if you wash your hair once a week than try going 2 weeks between washes than 3 weeks between washing etc. until your hair and scalp adjusts. It works I use to suffer from itchy scalp as well as dried out hair despite deep conditioning every week….this has helped my a lot to heal my scalp and retain length.

Aww man seems there is no solution for those of us who have scalp issues although I think mine might be due to dairy consumption😢

There is always hope we’re there is life there is hope .. if you have scalp issues you should seek a dermatologist your hair can grow… our hair is always growing it’s just to retain the length which is the hard part. What I shared in this video is just something that worked for me to retain length and manipulate my hair less often while still being able to enjoy my hair. I wish you the best on your hair journey and don’t be discourage!
