Commissioner here, this is the second ever track I’ve commissioned and Brandon once again hit it out of the park! This is a matchup that gets heavily overlooked simply because Bell isn’t angry enough, but I see it as a good one. Also, this won’t be the last time you see this track….
yeah no kidding, they're as different as day and night...BUT, what are their connections and how do you think the fight would play out like? Also yes for vocals if that is the case.
@@vwin9112 I think the connections are that they both have drive to do something: Goblin Slayer wanting to kill all Goblins and Bell wanting to get as stronger as his crush. And they both gave up on their original dreams to achieve a new one: Goblin Slayer giving up on being a hero to exterminate all Goblins, and Bell giving up wanting to get a harem to become a true hero.

Let's be real. If Goblin Slayer sees Bell, he'll leave immediately. not because he thinks Bell is superior. But because he's not a goblin and this is a waste of time

They're not a threat to anyone. Goblin Slayer: Goblins learn, adapt, and hold grudges. They will grow to hate humans and attack them as all Goblins do. Stand aside, I must finish my job. Bell: I don't care if they're Goblins, they're still children and I won't let you hurt them.(Fighting Stance). Goblin Slayer: ... two short knives, light armor. Most likely adapt at quick close range attacks. I should keep my distance. (Fighting Stance)
Bell: If you won't stay your hand then I'll do what's needed to defend those children.(rushes in and attempts a swift two-hit combo with his knives) Goblin Slayer: (uses his experience to use his shield to block Bell's first knife strike then quickly uses his strength in combination with his shield to successfully counterattack Bell and send him to the ground with a shield-powered tackle) Nothing personal kid but I'm doing what needs to be done to insure those Goblins don't become a threat to any innocent in the future. So if you want to return to your party breathing and able to walk stay down and out of my way. (Draws his sword and walks past Bell intent on killing the Goblin children)

The use of piano to add parts of Goblin Slayer's opening is absolutely fantastic. That opening is one of my favorites so it was a treat to hear throughout the track.
game universe yeah, that’s GS’ main « issue ». He’s an absolutely great character and the manga/anime/LN he’s from is just as good but when it comes to power scaling he’s really weak. He’s just a regular human with lots of wisdom and knowledge on how to fight goblins and even if he’s got some trump cards such as the spell scrolls, they often absolutely do not make the difference when it comes to most other characters that can use powers on levels of his scrolls but naturally as their normal abilities. That’s why while GS is an amazing character, he’s not a good choice for VS matchups.
@@milesandrews6711 That's valid. However the problem is that GS isn't used to fighting humans that are stronger than himself, only goblins. So while he's most definitely way smarter and experienced than Bell is, he'd probably still lose because he can't press his advantage hard enough and is outclassed in almost every other category. And it kinda saddens me because I love GS...
@@thedino27fr he dosent just fight standard goblins, many of the goblin variants he contests with are easily above human level like hobs, and obviously champions which are comparable to orcs Theres also the fact that he fights them in hordes and the show makes it heavily clear that goblins are way above standard humans or even well trained adventurers when they use teamwork and trickery He likely would lose to Bell due to stay disadvantage but there's an argument to be had for him winning the fight due to his craftiness and high tier gear
One cool part of this fight I could imagine is the two descending into a narrow cave, in which Goblin Slayer runs ahead, putting together minor traps while Bell follows behind. Would make for an interesting dynamic and let us see GS on his home turf.
Bell is definitely more powerful, but Goblin slayer is smarter, more well prepared, more experienced, and technically has better skill with fighting/weaponry. Plus don’t forget his OP magic scroll that slice bell to ribbons in pieces.
Going with my boy Bell on this one, mainly going on the Light novels. Don’t know much about Goblin Slayer, but it would probably be a close match unless he manages to score quite a few hits on Bell
goblin slayer is actually quite weak in raw power for his rank, but is so well adapted and tactical that he puts most to shame, even higher ranking ones
@@phantomreactor1503 Haven't gotten back into DanMachi yet, but I think the Gate scroll is the only thing Goblin Slayer has that can assuredly kill Bell, and I do believe he's smart and skilled enough to lead Bell to an advantageous position to use that scroll to finish him. Not to say Bell can't possibly kill him before GS gets them to that point, since I'm sure Bell is basically a superhuman compared to GS, but I think GS has a good chance at maneuvering to that point. What's more, even if somehow the water pressure doesn't kill Bell, Goblin Slayer will have accounted for that possibility and will use the last trick up his sleeve. *Spoilers below to the Year One manga and the movie* Remember the Water-Breathing Ring? Bell doesn't have that.
@@phantomreactor1503 Hasn't it already been confirmed that Goblin Slayer can't fight against human opponents very well because of the size difference between humans and Goblins (Goblins are short as hell).
@@trance9872 It's not that Goblin Slayer is not capable of fighting human-sized foes, but his experience mostly accounts for slaughtering smaller Goblins and doing everything to stack the odds in his favor. He simply doesn't have the fighting skills of his fellow Silver-ranked adventurers, but he's still got the quick-mindedness and equipment that carried him to that level.
@@trance9872 Slayer is just not that great a fighter overall, better than the average person, but subpar for an adventurer of his level. That's usually not a problem, since neither are goblins. In his line of work, creativity, knowledge of goblin behavioral patterns and just plain common sense are much more valuable than combat skill
Goblin Slayer has the advantage in experience and mindset...but literally his only hope of actually winning is the portal scroll and even that might be an if. Goblin Slayer adventurers are still mostly human in terms of ability in order to facilitate "anyone can potentially be threatened by GoBLinS!!!" while Danmachi adventurers go superhuman very quickly. Like I haven't kept up with Danmachi at all but based on how the Falna works Bell might literally be able to just stand there and let Goblin Slayer wail on him to no effect. I'm pretty sure Bell would realistically just blitz and tear him in half before he can react Cool song though!
Some characters in GS are *really* freaking strong. Hell, you can even see that in the farm invasion arc (which is in the anime so not hard to see) when every single Silver Ranked absolutely massacre anything short of goblin champions and even then they don't appear to be struggling a lot. The thing is that the main characters in GS are appart of the weaker tiers of adventurers which make up most of the population in that world and Goblin Slayer himself has barely anything more physically than a regular highly trained boxer or the like (all that goblin slaying must have the guy absolutely ripped and toughened with how much he gets injured), the thing that gives him the highest edge is his ability to strategize and his experience. But the latter of those is almost completely negated due to Bell not being a goblin (duh) and the other is also highly reduced because of the same reason. All this is one of the reason why, while GS is an amazing manga/anime/LN, it's also very hard to power scale any characters in it because the main characters are pretty weak for the genre, they're also very unique for a few of them which makes finding matchups tough and if you take the stronger characters we barely know anything about them except "they're strong." For example, the Hero along with her party has directly saved the world once and is one of those *really* freaking strong characters so in a matchup like this one she'd quite likely curbstomp Bell for example, but we don't know what her abilities in particular are because she's absolutely not the focus of the story. One of the points of Goblins Slayer being that not every story needs to be about super strong characters saving the entire world to be interesting. TL;DR: Some characters strong in GS but not the best for matchups. Main characters in GS are pretty weak.
@@thedino27fr While it's true that some of the higher tier adventurers are unnaturally strong and skilled by human standards, and they CAN get superhumanly powerful as shown by Hero. None of them are superhuman in the sense that a sword will just bounce of their bare skin if they let themselves be hit. Remember the average goblin is explicitly stated to have the strength and endurance of a human child. Even if realistically they're not really threatened by them, a goblin COULD still hurt them if they were being stupid or somehow got taken by complete surprise. It's the basic premise behind Sword Maiden. By comparison Danmachi adventurers are superhuman by upper level 1. If their endurance stat is high enough that sword will bounce off them like superman because the Falna isn't meant to be realistic. The two settings have similar premises on the surface but very different underlying mechanics. Goblin Slayer is just meant to be more "realistic" at its core than Danmachi is. To put it in perspective, I'm reasonably sure the only GS character that could actually fight Bell somewhat evenly is Hero. And even she might be at a disadvantage.
@@Flameblight Now that you've explained a bit it does make more sense on what you meant, yes. I do believe from my memories of Danmachi that you may be underestimating the upper echelons of GS powerscaling a bit but it's been a while since I saw that anime so my memory of the power levels is somewhat blurred but aside from that, everything you said I am in accordance with.
From what i know of season 3, A certain character meets bell by slamming him THROUGH buildings, and beats him by knocking him like 100 feet in the air, clotheslining him as hes coming down, and dragging him like a mile b4 it slams him through a floor and tosses him so hard at the ground it CRACKS and causes parts of it to come up. I dont watch goblin slayer so idk what typa heat he comes with.
I….never thought i’d see a matchup between these two. Well, i guess its a cool idea, albeit a certainly interesting pick to go with. Aw hell, i like both of these guys! Whichever wins would be fine either way in my book!
It the cinnamon roll Bell. I could not stand seeing him die honestly please let live. I need to finish the daimachi anime and Geralt vs bell might be my preferred but it's intriguing. That piano is on fire
Finally, a death battle I honestly don't want to see happening. There is some game event where those two actually team up to fight some goblins and dragons and while Goblin Slayer is clearly the more experienced and skilled fighter, Bell(who in that moment was not as strong he got recently in anime, and definitely not close to the actual light novel Bell Cranel) was the superior in Goblin slayer eyes.
My favorite anime/manga character against one that I also quite like. Interesting. Never really considered that matchup. While I do believe that Goblin Slayer probably loses the matchup because if we’re being honest GS is pretty weak in his universe but more than makes up in strategy and experience, those two he mostly had against Goblins and not against other foes, which Bell totally has and that would give him a massive edge alone the sheer power gap there is between the two. On another note *gosh* do I absolutely *love* how Rightfully was included in that track. Especially for the finale from 2:28 to 2:55 which sounds amazing and is legitimately one of the best finales made in commission (and even normal) tracks for Death Battle. The last one I remember that had such a good finale is Cry Havok and even then I’m debating which one of the two here is better so amazing job on that. The whole song comes together really well with both anime’s OPs playing together in their respective parts and the instrument choice is great too. It sounds absolutely fabulous and I love it, I’m definitely gonna loop that track because I love how it sounds, totally great job there !

I know this is an old one, but I was just thinking about the match up. It's pretty close all things considered. Bell is stronger and more durable, taking hits from minotaurs and the like. But Goblin Slayer just might be faster, dodging arrows point blank. Of course, Bell training with Aiz might give him the speed edge instead. What really could tip the scales is Goblin Slayer's warp scroll. I don't know if it's something he has ready access to, it's been a while since I watched either series. I remember Slayer taking special care to prepare the scroll so it might not be able to be considered part of his arsenal. If it is, it could most likely take Bell out though. I'd give the edge to Bell, but I've been wrong plenty of times.
If Bell was a Goblin it'd be a different story. Otherwise, GS will just see the fight as meaningless. But yeah, statwise, GS only has a chance should he try and pull Batman with prep time BS.
I get the pairing as white-haired protagonists in pseudo-isekais but these definitelly wouldn't ever fight (fun fact, the Danmachi gacha game had a Goblin Slayer collab, was alright) I wish I could ever see a Goblin Slayer vs Green Goblin in Death Battle tbh
@@Midnight_Castle That's why I've added "pseudo". While none of the protagonists are transported to other world, those worlds are explictly based in RPG elements and both franchises are clearly fed from the common tropes of the isekai trend.
@@Blazinter those tropes that Isekai’s use existed way before they became popular and are just tropes that Isekai’s use more often, both Danmachi and GS are heavily inspired by TTRPG which is more clear with GS. You can’t call something “Pseudo” if there isn’t any connection to the original definition. The Isekai term is clearly transported/sent from one world/time to another, and both series don’t have anything close to that. It would be better to say that both series share common tropes found in Isekai’s, rather than calling it a pseudo-Isekai.

Bell win globin slayer is powefull and crazy prepare but he biggest weakness is being specialising on globin extermination while bell have face more neberous foes and fun fact there once collab for is wrong to pick a Girl in dungeon Game with goblin slayer

Thematically ? Goblin Slayer VS Doom Slayer is just about the most fitting matchup one could find for either character. Power-wise ? The power gap is so freaking big Doom Slayer could quite literally kill Goblin Slayer just by walking up to him and slapping him hard enough. That matchup is just incompatible for the power difference, even if thematically it's a borderline perfect matchup.
@@openinginawe5518 The reason I think Goblin Slayer has the edge is because Bell is too nieve for an opponent like Goblin Slayer. Sure bell could use his development abilities but they aren't anything that would really surprise Goblin Slayer. After all, he's fought other non-goblin opponents like The Dark Elf.
I'm calling BS on this one. Bell has the backing of an actual goddess and a magic sword forged by a gender swapped Hephaestus. All Goblin Slayer has is an unbreakable will, a seething hatred for all things goblin and an arsenal he's constantly throwing away! This is a mis-match!

goblin slayer is actually quite weak in raw power for his rank, but is so well adapted and tactical that he puts most to shame, even higher ranking ones
If Goblin Slayer wins, it won't be in a straight fight against a very experienced foe, but with out-smarting and use of his esoteric equipment.
Also, goblin slayer does have a way to overpower Bell, his gate scroll. He has the skill, tactics, and experience to take him down.
I prefer Goblin Slayer's personality more, but in terms of power, Bell takes this one easily.
Goblin slayer is smarter and more well prepared. Plus don’t forget his OP magic scroll that slice bell to ribbons in pieces.
@@phantomreactor1503 Haven't gotten back into DanMachi yet, but I think the Gate scroll is the only thing Goblin Slayer has that can assuredly kill Bell, and I do believe he's smart and skilled enough to lead Bell to an advantageous position to use that scroll to finish him.
Not to say Bell can't possibly kill him before GS gets them to that point, since I'm sure Bell is basically a superhuman compared to GS, but I think GS has a good chance at maneuvering to that point.
What's more, even if somehow the water pressure doesn't kill Bell, Goblin Slayer will have accounted for that possibility and will use the last trick up his sleeve.

@@trance9872 It's not that Goblin Slayer is not capable of fighting human-sized foes, but his experience mostly accounts for slaughtering smaller Goblins and doing everything to stack the odds in his favor. He simply doesn't have the fighting skills of his fellow Silver-ranked adventurers, but he's still got the quick-mindedness and equipment that carried him to that level.
@@trance9872 Slayer is just not that great a fighter overall, better than the average person, but subpar for an adventurer of his level. That's usually not a problem, since neither are goblins. In his line of work, creativity, knowledge of goblin behavioral patterns and just plain common sense are much more valuable than combat skill
Goblin Slayer has the advantage in experience and mindset...but literally his only hope of actually winning is the portal scroll and even that might be an if. Goblin Slayer adventurers are still mostly human in terms of ability in order to facilitate "anyone can potentially be threatened by GoBLinS!!!" while Danmachi adventurers go superhuman very quickly.
Like I haven't kept up with Danmachi at all but based on how the Falna works Bell might literally be able to just stand there and let Goblin Slayer wail on him to no effect. I'm pretty sure Bell would realistically just blitz and tear him in half before he can react

Some characters in GS are *really* freaking strong. Hell, you can even see that in the farm invasion arc (which is in the anime so not hard to see) when every single Silver Ranked absolutely massacre anything short of goblin champions and even then they don't appear to be struggling a lot.
The thing is that the main characters in GS are appart of the weaker tiers of adventurers which make up most of the population in that world and Goblin Slayer himself has barely anything more physically than a regular highly trained boxer or the like (all that goblin slaying must have the guy absolutely ripped and toughened with how much he gets injured), the thing that gives him the highest edge is his ability to strategize and his experience. But the latter of those is almost completely negated due to Bell not being a goblin (duh) and the other is also highly reduced because of the same reason.
All this is one of the reason why, while GS is an amazing manga/anime/LN, it's also very hard to power scale any characters in it because the main characters are pretty weak for the genre, they're also very unique for a few of them which makes finding matchups tough and if you take the stronger characters we barely know anything about them except "they're strong." For example, the Hero along with her party has directly saved the world once and is one of those *really* freaking strong characters so in a matchup like this one she'd quite likely curbstomp Bell for example, but we don't know what her abilities in particular are because she's absolutely not the focus of the story. One of the points of Goblins Slayer being that not every story needs to be about super strong characters saving the entire world to be interesting.
TL;DR:
Some characters strong in GS but not the best for matchups. Main characters in GS are pretty weak.
@@thedino27fr While it's true that some of the higher tier adventurers are unnaturally strong and skilled by human standards, and they CAN get superhumanly powerful as shown by Hero. None of them are superhuman in the sense that a sword will just bounce of their bare skin if they let themselves be hit. Remember the average goblin is explicitly stated to have the strength and endurance of a human child.
Even if realistically they're not really threatened by them, a goblin COULD still hurt them if they were being stupid or somehow got taken by complete surprise. It's the basic premise behind Sword Maiden.
By comparison Danmachi adventurers are superhuman by upper level 1. If their endurance stat is high enough that sword will bounce off them like superman because the Falna isn't meant to be realistic.
The two settings have similar premises on the surface but very different underlying mechanics. Goblin Slayer is just meant to be more "realistic" at its core than Danmachi is.
To put it in perspective, I'm reasonably sure the only GS character that could actually fight Bell somewhat evenly is Hero. And even she might be at a disadvantage.

I do believe from my memories of Danmachi that you may be underestimating the upper echelons of GS powerscaling a bit but it's been a while since I saw that anime so my memory of the power levels is somewhat blurred but aside from that, everything you said I am in accordance with.
From what i know of season 3, A certain character meets bell by slamming him THROUGH buildings, and beats him by knocking him like 100 feet in the air, clotheslining him as hes coming down, and dragging him like a mile b4 it slams him through a floor and tosses him so hard at the ground it CRACKS and causes parts of it to come up.

Finally, a death battle I honestly don't want to see happening. There is some game event where those two actually team up to fight some goblins and dragons and while Goblin Slayer is clearly the more experienced and skilled fighter, Bell(who in that moment was not as strong he got recently in anime, and definitely not close to the actual light novel Bell Cranel) was the superior in Goblin slayer eyes.

My favorite anime/manga character against one that I also quite like. Interesting. Never really considered that matchup.
While I do believe that Goblin Slayer probably loses the matchup because if we’re being honest GS is pretty weak in his universe but more than makes up in strategy and experience, those two he mostly had against Goblins and not against other foes, which Bell totally has and that would give him a massive edge alone the sheer power gap there is between the two.
On another note *gosh* do I absolutely *love* how Rightfully was included in that track. Especially for the finale from 2:28 to 2:55 which sounds amazing and is legitimately one of the best finales made in commission (and even normal) tracks for Death Battle. The last one I remember that had such a good finale is Cry Havok and even then I’m debating which one of the two here is better so amazing job on that. The whole song comes together really well with both anime’s OPs playing together in their respective parts and the instrument choice is great too.

I know this is an old one, but I was just thinking about the match up. It's pretty close all things considered. Bell is stronger and more durable, taking hits from minotaurs and the like. But Goblin Slayer just might be faster, dodging arrows point blank. Of course, Bell training with Aiz might give him the speed edge instead. What really could tip the scales is Goblin Slayer's warp scroll. I don't know if it's something he has ready access to, it's been a while since I watched either series. I remember Slayer taking special care to prepare the scroll so it might not be able to be considered part of his arsenal. If it is, it could most likely take Bell out though.
I'd give the edge to Bell, but I've been wrong plenty of times.

You can’t call something “Pseudo” if there isn’t any connection to the original definition. The Isekai term is clearly transported/sent from one world/time to another, and both series don’t have anything close to that. It would be better to say that both series share common tropes found in Isekai’s, rather than calling it a pseudo-Isekai.

Power-wise ? The power gap is so freaking big Doom Slayer could quite literally kill Goblin Slayer just by walking up to him and slapping him hard enough.
