Also you’re wondering what the connections for these two: The connections between A-Train and Iida are that both are bespectacled speedsters that wear blue hero costumes with light color aspects and part of superpower associations (The Seven and UA High, respectively) that are known for the affiliations of American-themed blonde superheroes (Homelander and All Might, respectively). Both have engineering machine themed codenames (A-Train’s codename is based on a train whereas Iida’s codename, Ingenium, being a descendant of an engine), have older brothers who helped improve with their speed training, and did methods to enhance their speeds that afterwards caused pain (A-Train used and later abused the Compound V drug that consequently caused a heart attack, and Iida painfully ripped his mufflers from his calves in order to grow new ones). Both were in pursues of superhero murderers that involved their superpower loved ones with dire consequences (Although A-Train is the one who killed his girlfriend Popclaw, he blamed and came after Hughie Campbell for his involvement with the blackmail on her to reveal about the Compound V drug, and Iida pursued the Hero Killer: Stain for defeating and consequently paralyzing his brother Tensei Iida thus ending his hero career). Both also had intentions that led to their unheroic, self-destructive paths that involve murderous intents and near-death experiences resulting their heroic undoings. Additionally, both are role successors of previous speedsters (Mister Marathon and Tensei Iida, the former Ingenium, respectively)
I can't belive you founded a way to compare A-Train with best boi and make it work.

A-Train vs Tenya Iida has a pretty good premise for the fight scenario that highlights the contrast between the two. It could go something like this:
A-Train is rushing to a major event sponsored by Vought International, only to accidentally bump into a civilian violently enough to break them to pieces similar to what he did with Hughie Campbell's girlfriend, with Tenya Iida having witnessed it happen in front of him. Naturally, Tenya catches A-Train doing this and charges him with manslaughter, attempting to arrest him, leading to one of the most epic police chase scenes ever made.
Honestly remembering that Iida fought Stain and that whole battle taught Iida to be a better hero. It also made me think that if Stain was in the Boys Universe he would absolutely hate it there and go on a killing Spree. Either siding with the Boys or go on his own path.
Nah he would side with the boys as they both kill the heroes.
This could start off with a simple race in the middle of a city with a bunch of civilians watching and cheering. Iida being in the lead sees a person standing on the road and runs around them.
Not so much for A-Train who ran over the person, splatting them all over the road.
Iida stops and yells something along the lines of “HEY! DID YOU NOT SEE THE CIVILIAN STANDING THERE?!” While doing his constant hand chopping thing. A-Train dismisses him and continues running. Continuing the race. But then Iida decides to forget the race and take this criminal down before he takes out anyone else.

This is exactly what I can see it as. Nice work with the setup. When A-Train claims he'd still be called a hero, Iida counters with "You're no hero" and use one of his Recipro moves.

And a-train is not really versatility shore he pull a train that’s nothing to tenya can’t really lift a train but his striking power has lots more and his way more skilled close range combat

How I more so see the fight starting is a race between the two but then A-Train loses and he gets so mad that A-Train then begins fighting Ilda
This matchup would be epic, both in animation and thematically. A-Train is the depraved potential future of "heroes" who become engrossed in fame and limelight, while Tenya is the admirable figure who embodies what heroes should actually aspire to be. In other words, A-Train is Tenya's nightmare future, while Tenya might be the shining beacon who A-Train might've once had the potential to be.

Honestly? A-train do to the sheer power power factor behind his power thos Tenya could out maneuver him enough to turn the tables on him instead.
Then again, it all come down to who get cut off guard first and who uses their speed the most effectively.
A pretty good way of putting it. Having ANY true hero fight a Boys character is something i wanted to see for a while.

A Train doesn’t know how to fight. He might have raw speed but that’s it! He’s an idiot, a drug addict and all around stupid. Iida might be slower but takes literally every other category
The fight starts off with tenya trying to get an autograph and advice from a fellow speedster, but then he catches A-train doping up, and runs off to alert the authorities, A train chases him and the fight begins there...Also A train calls out tenya for ripping out his exhaust ports saying it's basically the exact same thing XD
I'd say A-train is faster considering his speed alone liquified someone, but Tenya is far more intelligent and has actual combat training compared to A-train who relied on raw speed
Yeah But A-Train Will get a Heart attack during near the end of the Battle.
Admittedly though, even people without superstrength Quirks in MHA are already way, way tougher than regular humans. And from what we've seen, I don't think Iida's speed is that far off from A-Train's own. Especially in Recipro Turbo

Another thing is that A-Train is fast like the usual super speed character. Tenyas just got the engines in his legs but the rest of his body isn't super fast or anything.
Iida’s speed was quick enough to intercept Stain just mere seconds before he could mutilate Todoroki, the speed needed for this would have to exceed Mach 50. Which to my knowledge is a speed A Train has never shown capable of matching

This would be an awesome matchup, not too sure who’s the fastest in terms of travel speed but I’m pretty sure Iida has the edge in combat speed since A-Train once got his leg broken from a surprise attack and almost died from a heart attack. Overall, I believe Iida would go beyond plus ultra against the pro gf killing speedster
I agree lida may not be faster then A-train but lidas armor can save him from becoming mush so all lida would need to do is get a clever opening and resipro burst his to the face!
Tenya is Born into the business, while A-Train is Doping, a lot (he might have innate powers, but his best feats come from Compound V)
God the idea of this match is awesome. Fight starts out with it being a friendly charity race but as soon as Iida begins to pull ahead A-Train’s need to be the fastest human alive starts to eat him up as he gets reckless and accidentally slams into someone at Mach speed. Fight then begins as Iida attempts to apprehend A-Train for manslaughter.
My idea for the end of the fight is A-Train on a dose of Compound V against Iida’s Recipro Burst on a big ass lake. Both make a final rush at each other and A-Train throws a punch while Iida flies through the air with a flying knee. The two connect but A-Train’s arm buckles and, in gory The Boys fashion, his arm breaks and crumples, jutting bone through A-Trains elbow. Then to follow, Iida skids along the water, throwing up waves in the air as he takes off again, spinning through the air with a massive roundhouse kick, skipping A-Train like a rock across the water until he hits a wall and falls under the waves, unconscious and drowning. Iida then races to the shoreline while waiting for the authorities to catch up with him.
Badass song for these two machine-named speedsters. Sounds like an amazing chase scene of a battle. I can see the fight starting with A-Train causing a bystander's death while Iida is on patrol. He says "You're no hero" and the fight begins with a pursuit.
Or with Tenya being turned into a smugde on the ground.... name ONE TIME Tenya went at the same speeds as A-Train? 🤨

How I see the fight ending is
*as the rain continues to beat down on the two speedsters A-Train has had enough of this kid showing him up

A-Train: bullshit, I’m a real hero and the fastest one at that
*as A-Train says that he injects himself with a serum and begins to move so fast that Ilda decides to keep up he needs to overtax his engines as blue flames erupt from Ilda’s calves A-Train begins to speed up as A-Train tries to run away on the street but Ilda runs on the sides of building to catch up
A-Train: what the hell?!?!? He can still keep pace even after I took that drug
*A-Train more pissed off than ever runs up to Ilda and tries to hit him but Ilda catches his punch and then the two get into a fight where they are only blurs and the raindrops have slowed to a halt until eventually Ilda delivers a kick to the side of A-Train’s head where then a sonic boom can be heard and then cracking then A-Train’s head explodes in blood, viscera, and brain matter all painting the building they were next to, Ilda looks back at what he did to a fellow hero for no good reason, and has a look of fear and horror in his eyes
That would be a sad ending. Seeing as what Tenya just did, making him think he is as bad as Stain.

That didn't age well.
Lemme picture the end of this fight.
So, after a long battle, the two end up on a bridge going above a river. Tenya tries to stop A-Train once and for all by attempting to pull him down and restraining him, but Tenya just gets dragged along for the ride. Tenya headbutted A-Train and launched him and himself off balance, sending both into the air. Tenya takes this as an opportunity to get the finishing blow in, and roundhouse kicked A-Train into the road below, A-Train bursting through the bridge and into the water below. A-Train got pulled downstream by a convenient rip current and eventually drowned. Tenya landed near the hole A-Train made after he was kicked through, and had a small breather, but was cut short by a speeding truck coming his way, so Tenya ran away.
My main inspiration for this was from a different comment, which I would credit here but I forgot who made it. So, whoever originally made it, feel free to make a reply.

Startup: it’s night time, UA is taking a field trip to a Vought presentation, and they suggest a little friendly competition between super heroes, one of them being a race (who’d have guessed?) between their symbols of speed, A-Train of Vought International VS Ingenium of UA High School, while the pair of them are waiting at the starting line stretching, Tenya holds his hand out to shake A-Train’s hand
*Tenya: may the fastest speedster win Nobel hero*
He said with a positive attitude, but A-Train responded by slapping his hand away with a smirk
*A-Train: yeah right, don’t bother trying to keep up with me, you’ll be eating my dust soon, see you at the finish line dweeb*
That threw Tenya for a loop, that was a little rude of him, something was off here, but for the time being he shrugged it off as a little bit of banter, so they both got into position and prepared to race, and the countdown began, both were down on all fours waiting in anticipation until… BANG went the gun, Tenya’s thrusters power up, A-Trains super speed kicks in, and off they go, but while running Tenya noticed a onlooker accidentally fall onto the track while trying to lean in to get a closer look, and landed right on A-Train’s path
*Tenya: wait LOOK OU-*
But to his and everyone else’s absolute shock and horror, A-Train didn’t stop, if anything he just sped up, ignoring the civilian and running straight into him without a care in the world, causing the poor soul to get reduced to mincemeat, blood splattering up the pavement, that’s when “Compound Engine” Ques

Their fight goes all over the place, they run up walls, across the water, zip past traffic, through a skate park, cut across busy roads, basically anywhere they could, still throwing hits at each other whatever chance they get, and A-Train is getting a little annoyed that no matter where he goes, Tenya is somehow not far behind

*Tenya: A-Train huh? Well let me ask you this, what’s a Train without an Engine? …also, LANGUAGE!*

They run towards a train station and onto the train tracks, still giving it their all as they continue their brawl, dodging oncoming trains as the run and fight, both determined to stop the other

They run through a tunnel, they now had walls and a ceiling to run and bounce off of, so they use that to their advantage, they jump off the walls and surfaces of the tunnel trying to hit the other, while at the same time trying to avoid each other’s hits

They reach the end of the tunnel and end up running off of the tracks, and end up in a stadium with an ice skating ring in the centre, A-Train is slipping and sliding all over the place, but Tenya uses his thrusters to his advantage here, he boosts and skates forward, turning around to hit A-Train all over the place, sending him flying all over the rink, before finally knocking him through the wall and into the car park

A-Train has had enough, so he whips out a syringe of Compound V and jabs it into his leg, injecting the liquid into him, Tenya sees this and is appalled
*Tenya: You take needle drugs too?!?! HOW DARE YOU CALL YOURSELF A HERO!!!!*
*A-Train: and what are you gonna do about it teachers pet!*
And he dashes off even faster this time

Tenya doesn’t even see him coming this time, Compound V has now made A-Train even faster than he was before, and he’s getting hit from all angles, before being grabbed by the leg and dragged across the road at blazing speed, the road burn he’s getting hurts like crap, but Tenya doesn’t give up, so he fires up his leg thrusters and burns A-Train’s hand in the process causing him to let go, and Tenya round house kicks A-Train in the back of the head, sending them both rolling to the ground

A-Train and Tenya get back up and continue running, but A-Train is still too fast
*A-Train: give it up already, you can’t keep up with me kid, you never could*
*Tenya: no, a true hero never gives up, I just have to do what my brother would have done, what every hero would do, I Have… To Go… BEYOND!!!*

Tenya overtaxes his thrusters so now they’re firing out blue flames, and now he’s running even faster than before just so he could keep up, he slams into A-Train and the two of them take off, both of them going faster than they ever had before, throwing down even more intensely than normal, until A-Train gets an idea
*A-Train: let’s see you go fast without these!*
He says as he kicks Tenya in the back of his calves, damaging his mufflers, and even ripping one out of his leg, causing Tenya great pain, but A-Train also burns his own leg in the process

They both tumble to the floor, landing far apart from each other, both of them are in great pain, but both of them still have enough strength to finish the fight, they slowly but painfully start standing back up again, staring at each other intensely, and prepare for the final sprint

They dash off away from each other and turn around, now they run straight towards each other, preparing to deliver the final blow, neither are holding back, both have had enough, only one will come out of this on top

A-Train doesn't realize that he's wide open and gets burned by his thrusters again.
A-Train" OWOWOWOWW!! NOT AGAIN!!! YOU'RE DEA-AAAAGGH!!!!!!!
Tenya takes advantage of A-Train being in pain to kick him many times (just like he does for his ultimate special in My Hero One's justice) before kicking him in the air.
Tenya: "I will not break!"
He finishes him by axe kick his head so hard, it bursts, causing blood to splatter across the ocean. A-Train's headless body sinks to the bottom of the ocean floor as Tenya drifts onto solid land, holding his rib cage in pain.
Tenya: "That got out of hand."

I'd actually like to see this battle happen. It would be a little different from most speedster fights, since the two are relatively lower on the speedster totem pole.
At the very least, they wouldn't be going so fast that reality breaks and we just lose any sense of speed at all.
Most of the audience is lost once they are going FTL without actually doing warp or hyperspace. if I were to write a superhero setting, no speedster could reach 1C because it's physically impossible. Only people with the power to bend spacetime would have that possibility, and it would come with its own drawbacks. Like, perhaps you can't warp in serious combat because you need to do complex math to end up where you want to go and not a few light years away.
Oh I would so be down to see Tenya win this.
Also unrelated but I had this idea for a dark parody of The Boys involving villains from Marvel, DC, and superhero media outside the Big Three like My Hero Academia, Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Darkwing Duck, etc. being sent to the world of The Boys and just causing mayhem that the “fake superheroes” can’t handle.

From 2:15-2:45 I can 100% recognize this as the ending melody of Iida’s theme mixed in with the track playing in Deku vs Bakugo fight at the end of Season 3, One of the best MHA character themes combined with one of the best tracks
funnily enough I think A-Train takes speed from the whole searching all of manhatten in 30 seconds claim made by Butcher, but Tenya takes...everything else (aside from Experience, but A-Train's experience might as well be null for this fight lmao, and A-Train having a minor healing factor with Compound V). Like even if he didn't just dominate A-Train in power all he'd have to do is out-last A-Train since Compound V can give him a heart attack, like take advantage of his weakened bones - also from Compound V, for those who don't know.

This I quite like. A very fast-paced and almost "aggressive" but still relatively heroic theme that fits those two speedsters that may not have done all good but still fit as heroes of their respective worlds (well, a bit arguably for A-Train, but that goes for all heroes in that franchise.)
Quite an interesting matchup if I say so myself. As the commissioner as shown, both characters have a lot in common and those matchups are the best kinds of matchups. If I were to root for someone, it'd definitely be Tenya tho, even if it's partly because of that sick hero costume.
Song itself is, as I said above, really fast-paced to fit both characters. After all, they *are* speedsters. It's also, especially because of the pretty intense percussion, somewhat "rough" in how it sounds (at 2:02-2:38 notably), almost "aggressive" as I said above, possibly to show both characters' unheroic side. Yet even with that it still keeps a melody that's pretty heroic and almost tragic overall to fit both characters and their sad backgrounds.
The ending (3:24-4:03) also heavily reminds me of Way Past Flash, which if it was voluntary is absolutely magnificent given both matchups involve speedsters with fights that end in a final epic clash between both fighters (or at least that's what I assume would happen with how the ending sounds here). And of course there's also the fact that Way Past Flash is a truly amazing song that always gets bonus points when referenced.
And if the similar sounding is not voluntary ? Well it doesn't matter because the ending still sounds awesome either way.
I find amazing the fact that even someone like me that doesn't have any education when it comes to analyzing music can still find all those things to note on those songs due to how much personality they have. I've said it countless times before but I do not know how Brandon manages to make so many musics that all sound great, unique and full of personality. Not all songs are equal, of course, but this one definitely stands out as one with more personality in my own opinion.

he got a new heart tho and if they merge tv and comic a train like they did with homelander he has super strength
I've been seeing people keep bringing that up with A-Train at the end of season 3 he gets a new heart and they show after that he has zero heart issues. Also if they did composite A-Train he never gets a heart issue in the comics.

Massive MHA fanboy here (my favorite anime in history) and tenya is up there as one of my favorite characters (the boys is good too BTW but i dont like it even a fraction as much as MHA) great job brandon i loved this track (the ending is incredible) keep it up man!
As for the MU i like it fine not rlly my favorite for iida but its cool still and i like their contrast.

Idk much about A train but from the looks of it, A-train is just speed (that’s it) his durability is very low for hero standards, he’s at risk of running out of energy and passing out, he has little control over his momentum which hinders his mobility and he’s not very smart
Iida can win if he plays his cards right (considering he got into UA, he likely will)
Edit: It would appear that A-train can’t push himself too much because of a heart condition, another card in Iida’s favor 🎉

They just sound so majestic for some reason, I can’t explain why, I just can’t help but imagine epic fast paced action with beautiful lighting similar to the lighting in A-Train’s music video “faster”
I love this fight as I think it would be really cool to see. Tenya might actually be faster and stronger given his speed feats against Todoroki and also his enhanced speed catching Midoriya off guard. His recipreco would be the deciding factor of the fight as he could easily out pace and also out box A train.
Maybe stronger but not faster since a train has dodge lightning attacks and has no more heart problems since it was replaced meaning hes able to go the same speed as he did to robin and in the race he was able to go home do drugs come bank with no one to see him which also means he’s faster since you can’t even see a train he just vanishes I see Iida as more of a really above average super soldier with even villains able to react to him not to mention he can’t even put run a tower falling barely so I think a train out blitzes him but that’s just me

2 worlds where superheroes are a common part of life and culture. But while one is a bright world of true heroes upholding justice and keeping darkness at bay, the other is a twisted nightmare where absolute power, more often than not, corrupts absolutely. The dichotomy between these 2 worlds alone makes me want this fight to happen.

Looking back on this fight with the A-Train we have now is making me want to root for him
The death would be fire! If Iida wins, have A-Train start stomping him, but go too hard too fast and his heart starts giving out. Iida realizes that A-Train is weak and tries to help, but gets sucker punched and knocked away. A-Train tries to finish off Iida, but staggers and clutches his chest as Iida kicks A-Train square in the head, decapitating him and breaking his own leg in the process. The fights ends as Iida limps away and A-Train's heartbeat fades away

Let's get this out of the way, there is a high chance that A-Train is faster, especially with the compound. That being said Tenya is far smarter and probably stronger (haven't seen much of both show but I'd image he is from scaling) as well as that short burst he has that makes him even faster, possibly even with him, though it does leave him unable to use his powers. I'd say A-Train wins just because the speed difference is pretty big and is only even on what is basically a suicide move.
Now go tell me why I'm probably wrong
Tenya has actual combat training, A-Train is flimsy as hell, and Tenya is more durable.

I hate to say it, but I think that A-train would come out on top for this fight. I did the math, and A-train is about five times faster than Iida (A-train can run at roughly the speed of sound while Iida can only reach 144mph last I checked). Iida can also only reach his top speeds in short bursts and has trouble turning at higher speeds as well. A-train is also likely a fair amount stronger too.
Iida's only real advantage is his intelligence and skill, but he's too much of a straightforward and honest person to resort to tricks and misdirection to get a victory, resulting in his loss.
