Today it is my birthday, my father used to play this every year. He didn't know the lyrics, but is was his way to tell me that he loved me. I miss him every day ❤
This was one of my favorite tunes from 12 X 5 when I was a kid, I got this album for Christmas when I was 11, my mother knew what to buy for me. Stones and Beatles.
I've always thought of this as the Stones' tribute to American R&B from, say, 1958 to 1963, especially NYC R&B. The chords, melody, lyrics, rhythm all echo that era's music. Anyone else agree?
Que extraordinaria canción, los arreglos, el cambio de matiz, la estupenda interpretación y excelente voz de Barry, una bellísima obra de arte, saludos desde cd. de México.
@@G8GT364CI look how much rock and roll has changed from back then, from the 50's till now. Did you think that it would have evolved into some of the stuff we have today ?
@@Itsa6stringthang Well rock n roll is rock n roll to me no matter when it was made, problem is there is precious little of it made today IMHO at least on commercial radio. You can still find good new stuff on places like Underground Garage SiriusXM. I still listen to mostly stuff from the 60's though, that and blues and jazz. I don't even like the sound of most records made today, too much autotune and synthesizers.
A very underrated Song from the Stones. This tune sounds frustrating and authentic at the same time. Impressive and I think this may be a song you even recognize after listening to the Stones for years… So do I ;) Greeting from Germany 🇩🇪
*Ron Malo* was the engineer and it was his room, he produced it. When you walk into a recording room like that, they know where the drums should be set up, they know eactly where to get the right sound. To watch that go down was like: _Wow 😱 Now I've died and gone to heaven. Now I know everything_ An education. *_Keith Richards, 2016_*
WOAH!!! Great harmony of the words, lyrics and typographic solution...!!!! Great work done....!... magnificent, simply beautiful... worth watching and listening... emphasizing the value of the song! Thank you so much, CHAPEAU!!!! :))))

The Rolling Stones where better background singers than often credited. How many current groups could we say that for.Sure you have to be able to really play in bands that make it today but many won’t attempt to sing because they can’t. I’m aware Charlie did his talking with his drums. He may resemble EdAmes but don’t ask him to sing he might toss Mingo tomahawk at you.

Oh nothing beats the old Stones albums
our band the Mystics did this one and Its All Over Now, back in 66 and 67. I loved the Stones in the early years but they lost me later on

Obviously not the Congratulations song done by Cliff Richard, thank Goodness!
Also, the Wilbury song is melodically different except for the "breaking my heart" lyrics.
