      IMO music out of the UK surpasses anything else ......from anywhere else.......have loved British music since about 1963 , as a very very young kid....no TV , just radio and records. Back then it mostly was British stuff we heard....like you said Rocker 420 , long live British rock !!

    • @Darrenski
      @Darrenski 4 месяца назад

      Yeah we all know the lyric. A citation was hardly needed. But 'the clash' isn't like some sort of divine judgement. Yes a lot of the daft screaming and freaking out was totally OTT, and theres a lot about the beatles i didn't like (and im down the road from liverpool but i don't 'idolise' them). But you cant deny they made some great stuff. I've never been into the whole peace/bed or diving around in india with a million jumbled up mystic philosophies. None of that appealed to me. But Eleanor Rigby, In my life, Norwegian wood and im not gonna run off a list. So while beatlemania was a very silly thing it doesn't change the fact they knocked out A LOT of great music over a very short period of time, and thats despite really not liking a lot about the beatles, most of all lennon funding that 'holy mountain' absolute nonsense insane abomination of a 'movie'. So i divorce their music from all the 'beatlemania' silliness. Yeah all that was phoney and dumb. But they still changed music. You can't really deny that. How responsible they were for it is debateable and i do think they had certain people 'handling' them and trying to use them to push agendas. But I also believe lennon got wise to it and eventually wanted out of all that. And we all know what happened to him before he had the chance to say 'blah blah' and renounce a lot of things he'd been a figurehead for, don't we... @davidharris1134

      I think pop music right now is recycled in general terms, within a time in wich everyone have all available music inside mobile phones. Then, talent can be improved this way. All artists ever used "new" concepts, maybe that's what is missing. Also, to do completely new things needs more than this.

    This is PRECIOUS. The things these guys had to put up with, including this set, and dubbing the lyrics, which, it appears, was their first time seeing it, was part of their ascension, til they could do what they wanted, creatively.
