I answer this already in previous comments. You can tweak your texture in UE by opening it and scrolling down. There are parameters like RGB, saturation etc. Tweak them to get back look you had in Gaea.
Thank you , My only problem is when I export Base Color From Gaea and import it in Unreal , the color is different from what I see in Gaea scene and I don't know why !?
Hey! Yes, it's a known issue that you can kind of fix inside engine, if you open texture and scroll down to "Adjustments" you can tweak Brightness, Vibrance etc. play with RGB curve and other parameters and you should get back colors. I actually have no idea why textures look so different.
It seems like there is some RGB translation issue, you can adjust RGB, brightness etc. in a texture. Open it up and scroll down, there are adjustable parameters to match your Gaea texture.
Hi, it has correctly scaled to correct resolution 4:50, but it looks not even close in colors to what GAEA2 editor showed at 3:04, Anything that can be done to match as close as possible in UE5 what was in Gaea2 Editor? Please show us if possible how to get the highest possible quallity in UE5 :)
@@UnchartedWorlds need to export higher resolution textures. At 5k scale 1k texture is extremely low. And plus here I don’t export normal which would also be needed to get extra detail.
I'm not sure if there is "correct" numbers, I just usually eyeball them to get close enough results. Just put both textures side by side and adjust numbers.
@@MarisFreimanis I am using 2.0.4 and while I have now been able to occasionally export, most of the time the export says it failed. I export to unreal and a regular export node. The graph is just a canyon node to the exports. I bake etc. The export log shows failed (now almost) all of the time. There is a Reddit thread with an example of this (not mine).
@@jh-lp7cg Then probably issue at Gaea side. Gaea 2.0 seems way buggier then Gaea 1.0 since they have added ton of "real time" optimizations. Hopefully they will fix soon.
Thanks for the follow-up on textures! Definitely helps for those background terrains.
Yes, Gaea is amazing for background assets.
GREAT TUTORIAL! Thanks!
Thanks for this quick, straightforward video.
Awesome can’t wait to export to UE and try this tomorrow!
Have a fun! Let me know how it goes!

Why when I add Texture and Texture color looks weird? It looks faded and sometimes the color is distorted in Unreal.

I followed the video to the T but the texture the way it look in Gaea is completely different in unreal. Any tips to correct this?

For some reason the texture is extremely bright in UE when I import it from Gaea
You can adjust it in texture settings, open texture in UE and scroll down ,there you can adjust brightness, contrast etc.
doesn't work. What's a height connection?
Just the video I was looking for... Thank you !!
Any link for the Gaea to unreal plugin?

copying and ctrl f8 doesnt work
I just test it, it works, but you can add Mixer node manually.

My Gaea export always fails. :(
