Wait you're apart of the Leartes studios team!?!? I bought alot of nice scenes from them while they were on artstation last year. Totally amazing connections either way and thank you this is just an amazing tutorial! Purchased TONS of ships villages and coves with nowhere to put them!! 🙃
Thanks for the wisdom brother, tho if i may ask, have you tried World Creator 3? If so which one is better overall in term of Functionality and ease to use?
Hi, I really like your videos. I will probably now start to add Landscape from Gaea to one or other of the projects I am working on. However, I still have a question about this. How do I extend a terrain created in Gaea? - What I mean here is. How do I create another ‘terrain tile’ so that it can be seamlessly added to the previously created ;tile?
Make different heightmaps and create couple of landscapes. Intercept them and set dress them with quixel assets so that the connection looks natural. This is how you can hack this easily.
@@CGDealers really was counting on it but I’ve just watched a video on just importing the height map and it seems to be pretty easy to do so for it not a huge issue
Hello, I have a question about Gaea I read a little about It and apparently the free version cannot be used for commercial use, does this mean that if I make a terrain using it I cannot put it in a paid game?Or did I misunderstand something?
That is correct. It is free unless you start making money. But its wonderful that until you publish your game or film. You can use it for free to create it. When you are about to publish it, just purchase a license. At least they give you the ability to see if you can finish a game or movie and then pay them. If not, you dont pay :)
You can also only export the terrain in 1k resolution using the free plan, i think it’s better to get the indie plan which is $99 but you’ll be able to export landscapes and textures up to 8k resolution

No, i’m not part of them. We are just partners. I do my own stuff :)
@@CGDealers Awesome Stuff. Just grabbed your patreon and I'm all over udemy lately so definitely checking you out there as well :)
😊Great video!

I would stick with Gaea. At least for me its better. That does not mean that world creator 3 is bad. Its also a great tool. Just a personal taste.
Great video. For Gaea 2.0 did you use the free version for this video or the paid version?
Free. It is paid if you start selling your game, film or assets.
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!

Woow really amazing...thx you
You're welcome 😊
Gaea plugin don't work with UE5.5
Unreal 5.5 is 2 days old. Give it a week or two Gaea software engineers to update the plugin :)

@@CGDealers Well I think it's fair, they put a lot of work into this tool. Thanks for replying
@@artg556 its up to you to decide if you want 4x4 or 96x96.
Gaea 2.0 and my tools will handle bigger sized well enough.

@@artseum3d I suggest to experiment and work with the free until you want to make some final products. For tests and lookdev free is great!
Does water work in tripalar? (to use it for the planet)
I can't run Plugin in Unreal 5.5. Gaea has plugins for 5.4 and 5.3, but I did not see a plugin for 5.5.
5.5 is still very new. They will release an update soon.
Yeah don't exist, 5.5 is preview for now maybe only for paid version I don't know
Maybe works 5.4 in 5.5 I will try
Try, works heheh
But broken engine hehehe
Your thumbnail is a beautiful clickbait 👍
When I assign the auto-material to the landscape everything becomes black :/ Assigning layer-info and adjusting the lighting didn't fix it. Any ideas?
