On launch day you could get any of the three versions depending on luck of the draw. It was the most pre-ordered game ever up to that point (IIRC, Resident Evil 3 would beat it the next year) so the cartridge manufacturing process began early and they were still polishing and tweaking it during manufacturing which is why it has this situation. The Fire Temple music and mirror shield changes were to comply with Nintendo of America's rule about not referencing real-world religions; the chanting audio was pulled from a stock audio sample CD and they hadn't realized it was Islamic, and the Japanese texture artist who designed the mirror shield did know it was Islamic but didn't realize Nintendo of America had a rule about that. The green blood is the strangest change, because there's other blood in the game that remains red. I think it may actually be a thematic choice, because it's notable that humans in OoT and MM bleed red -- Gerudo warriors, for example, or the blood of the tortured Hylians left on the floors and walls below the wall -- while monsters bleed blue or green, and this is used to communicate things in other situations. (For example, Dead Hand bleeds green when you hit him, but he's covered in splotches of red blood, indicating that that's the blood of his victims and not his own.) The scene where Ganon coughs up blood is the scene where he transitions from human form to monstrous form, so I could see the director suggesting he start bleeding green here.

Regarding The Guy Game, Reipurei was even worse as players get to violate a literal twelve year old. It was sold on Amazon for a time before being pulled for obvious reasons. As for The Lion King, iirc Disney made a deal with Compaq to bundle the game with some of their computers, but the drivers that came with them weren't thoroughly tested with the WinG API that it caused the game to crash. It was cited as one of the reasons why Microsoft developed DirectX due to developer hesitancy to move from DOS to Windows.

As a Kid in the 90’s was busy playing PS1 and watching American Pie not crying 😂 Oh and Watching SNICK… Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk Superman/Batman TAS etc… Now speaking of Spider-Man YET another Spider-Man property that had the WTC in it but got taken out that would have been cool… The movie also had it taken out of the film during Sipdey’s first appearance stopping bank robbers!
16:25 This is literally the same situation with Asassin's Creed Shadows where there's hip hop infused Asian music during the combat, yet the game isn't getting recalled, just getting another delay to March lol
thought it was Feburary.
@@Matt-md5yt They delayed to March yesterday
It's not getting recalled because most people buy digitally anyway, and besides people can just update the game
"Popular across arcades in the 'UNITED STATES'" - Shows arcades from russia
love that intro lmao. no fat no nonsense just READY SET GO!
The Guy Game Situation seems a bit tragic. I think both their arguments were valid. She couldn't consent to the release, and therefore it should be recalled. On the other hand, Top heavy had reasonable logic to treat her as an adult, so they kind of both got screwed over.
stop defending bad people bruv, the game literally a cp,if you wanna make lewd game but don't want to break the law you really need to follow every other rule
@@souleymanediawara7714soy
Clown take.
@@souleymanediawara7714 This has to be a troll. That's just stupid. The whole point is that they seemingly tried to follow the rules and made a mistake and weren't thorough enough. They aren't bad people for that. They made a big mistake, but they were actively deceived. I'd imagine that's the same reason they weren't criminally charged with CP charges. Sometimes you have to give people benefit of the doubt, especially when even the victim admits they deliberately deceived them.
No.
You forgot Turok Rage Wars. Similar to Other M, a permanent progression stopper. Replacement cartridges that actually work are grey instead of black
no joke, that lion king PC interactive story book DESTROYED the family PC back when my father got it for me. it took my dad a week to reinstall everything, and get it OUT of the computer. even after completing nuking the PC and reinstalling windows it stuck around twice.
Funny enough, halo 2's normal laugh also was plagued with another issue. The original print required you to have to dvd player plug-in in order to play the game. I remember the game wouldn't work for me but it did for my friend who owned the dvd thing. I'm not sure if that issued a recall or not though.
Why does the Mario Party 8 footage show the game having a special border for the 4:3 parts? My copy just has a black border on those parts
Great video, great personalities here. PLEASE balance your audio better though ❤ headphones with this was jarring
If I found someone had used a picture of me on something and I found out - firstly i would want paying for it and would be over the moon that my picture was on a game raising for charity. You'd have to be a right arrogant pr*ck to cause so much fuss that a charity would be loosing out on the total amount raised.
26:56 I can confirm that it definitely happened. Back in the day I used to play just copied games on my PS1 and the version that I managed to play Spider-Man 2 had the original two towers in the final level.
45:38 I thought Freddy Fish and Pajama Sam were a fever dream from my childhood
Guys Roy disney is his older brother. Everybody that worked for walt disney called him, uncle walt. I feel like joey swolls "do better"
I tried to skip around and to see if concord is on this list.. why cant i find it
Literally
It wasn't recalled. They just shut it down, which happens to online games all the time. Stop trying to stir up shit.
48:43 Maybe if people didn’t skip around then maybe they’d look less foolish.
44:45 this is actually true. original wiis had a hard time running duel disc games. smash bros brawl was one of them
9/11 affected the movie of spiderman as well. I remember being on theather to see the Final Fantasy movie and they played the trailer of Spiderman with the elicopter on a net between the twin towers. They naturally had to change it.
How do you miss one of biggest franchises putting down an entire religion
Hitman 2 where agent 47 goes to the largest Sikh temple in India the Golden temple and murders Sikh priests and the game calls the entire area a cult. Game was recalled and a major apology was issued. I happened to get a copy of the game.
36:10 loving the wrestling talk! if youre interested, I could probably do some research to figure out what show you saw.
im gonna take a shot at osprey vs omega?
You can thank the Lion King Animated Storybook for the creation of DirectX.
The Neo Geo Mini uses the censored rom of Samurai Shodown V which made me disappointed.
Reminds me of that Batman Beyond episode that was delayed because of 9/11. Had too much to do with burning buildings.
Wow. Wow. I was not one of the 70 kids that fractured their wrists. But I was also 9 years old and didn't know how to punch and so I tucked my thumb into my fist and broke my thumb. I had no idea that this all happened. Where's my thumb payout
16:20 some people found flying a couple of planes into the twin towers highly offensive too
and some people find having their homes bombed when they're innocent highly offensive too
I can confirm the Metroid Other M thing . Our first edition Wii couldn't read it at all , Only the newer Wii(without gamecube capacities) could read the game . The game wasn't any fun so , it really is a bad release in every aspect.
I still have a bugged copy of metroid other m. (Metroid being my favorite series) you can just restart your game and have a 50/50 of it working or not working. Its not a particularly hard game either though i personally love it and wish there were more metroid games like it.
blondey sounds like CallMeKevin
I bought and finished Cyberpunk on Xbox at launch. Loved it and only had a few issues. I think I had to reload a previous game save twice because of a bug and only lost a few minutes of gameplay. There were a few funny graphical glitches, but nothing game breaking or as bad as people were saying.
Reporting in from Australia - I can't tell you why that brain games one wasn't recalled from here, but I can tell you that even though we'll happily call our best friends "grunts" (ie "hey grunt, how ya going?"), at least in 2025 the average Australian isn't going to use the word spastic anymore. Can't say how it was 10-15 years ago, but I definitely don't think it was something you'd comfortably use (15 years ago I would've been early 20s, and yeah, don't recall feeling like I should just call someone "spastic").
Alright folks, remember what we practiced: if a game you bought is recalled, do NOT return the game... Just in case.
Funny thing is that Too Human is now available on Xbox Store again.
Is the Australian or UK guy Will Ospreay??????
the hero gonna be omega right?
I assumed Jay White, he was top foreign heel for a time.
...removing the arcade from several arcades. Great proofreading, guys!
Still got my copy of Too Human sitting on my xbox 360 shelf. Maybe I should play it again some time.
sweet, glad you talked about this topic.
Mario Party at least doesn't call the player the word. But using it against someone having low intelligence is...crazy!
The back ally brutal song is t similar, it’s the exact same sample just letting you know
I was going to suggest that you never cook ever again because you called Pajama Sam and Freddi Fish shovelware but I watched because of Tiger Woods 99. 😂
Another excellent video. Keep up the good work fellas
3:37 you absolutely said that wrong lol
It's pronounced "Info-grams"
The zelda chanting was badass and i loved the Turkish flag looking stuff on stuff
The Day Before has to count here if Concord does right?
Since it wasn’t physically released not exactly, but I do agree that it should’ve been mentioned
Wasn't recalled. Online games get shut down all the time. A recall is for a specific issue. Concord was just a shitty game and was shut down shortly after release. I think you're just trying to bait an argument. Get a job.
9:32 "Arcades across the United States"
Shows arcade in Russia
Didnt sim city 2013 and no man's sky basically get recalls?
>Australia isn't offended by a slur
The C word, the most offensive non-racial slur word in every other English speaking country, is a term of endearment there. Of course they don't care about that.
