Man i remember christmas as a little boy. My grandmas house with my dad, who only had us every other weekend. He went to prison, ans when he got out he worke as a dominos store manager. On christmas day, I had the pleasure of unboxing an original xbox. It was amazing. One of the first games i got addicted to was "tony hawks underground". I remember playing that game all night, staying up with my friends all night during the summer. Life flys by.
Same, this one day I remember the tv making “clinging” & “subhuman screeching” noises after a few minutes of like white noise. Thing is, the white noise after a while sounded like shuffling in ventilation. Tried pausing in the music tab but no dice. So I ran away lol. I can’t explain what i heard but it was so abnormally loud it still gives me chills thinking about it.
@stephenthomas6861 Do you think it was just a TV speaker glitch? Or an easter egg? Or something paranautrual? Super spooky and interesting. Would love to hear any elaboration you may have.
Man, the 360 era was like a golden age for gaming! It’s wild thinking about all the memories we made. I still can’t get over the hidden gems like Crackdown and those crazy easter eggs! 🔥🎮
1:01:00 Small correction: 0451 code is actually a reference to System Shock 2, a game that Bioshock is generally considered to be the spiritual successor to. People often get confused as the original code in SS2 is theorized to be a reference to Fahrenheit, but IIRC no one who worked on the game ever confirmed that.
Bruh the towel trick was the goat lol. I also would wrap pennies in electrical tape and use them as thermal pads to protect the ram from overheating lol

Maybe it's a niche community but the Achievement Hunter Tower of Pimps in Minecraft was a fun find in the Tutorial level. I remember it being the only level you could play in the demo for 30 min. My friends and I would play it over and over until I finally was able to buy it
The Brutus thing on mob of the dead is more in depth to the story because on most zombies maps 115 is usually the reason for the outbreak but when he says not this time and switches the numbers to 666 it's because the four characters you play as are trapped in a purgatory in an infinite loop until you break that loop doing the easter egg but they are basically trapped in hell and are already dead unlike all the other characters in other maps who are trying to survive the zombie outbreak
This really just reminded me how big of a deal Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth was back in the day. I loved them to death, I watched thousands of hours of their videos when I was growing up and well into my teens...broke my heart when the company started falling apart and then eventually closed their doors.
My theory for why trearch was saying element 115 is well, it wasnt a measured element at the time. It was discovered, but very little was known about it. It was a mysterious element, along with a few other unmeasurable elements. It has been identified and studied thoroughly since, as it now has an actual name. The old name was ununseptium? That could be 117 or 116 but i dont remember lol

Meh. It lasted too long, and every game after 2007 was brown. Also introduced so many awful elements into gaming with microtransactions, formerly single player games having tacked on multiplayer, death of the RPG genre (with the exception of New Vegas), pre order bonuses, every horror game became a third person over the shoulder action game, etc. Early 360 was cool, but I think I might've preferred the original Xbox era overall.

Sure PS3 had more users (eventually) but everyone in the gaming world (people born before 2006) has extremely large amounts of fond memories with the Xbox 360.
