That is so cool! I really hope she sticks with it. Jiujitsu is such an amazing sport and it’s so great for kids. It teaches them such incredible things! I hope these drills help her out! They help me and many of my students!! I also just posted a little Flashcard jiujitsu game this morning. I know this stay at home order stuff can be rough. I’m trying to help give parents and kids a way to play and practice at home! 🙏🏻

Thank you so much for watching. It makes me so happy to hear this can help! These are some of my favorite drills, I teach them to all my students. It helps so much with their agility, muscle memory and coordination. I just posted a video this morning on a little jiujitsu Flashcard game for kids. It has some fundamental positions in there you may be able to teach your 2 yr old. We have a class at the academy for 2-4yr olds and we work with them on the positions and the shuffle passing drills in that video.

Hi Erika, I have had one BJJ class, about a year ago, while I was visiting a school across the country while traveling for work. I'm primarily tkd and hapkido, though I just started arnis as well. I teach some hapkido and I like to integrate BJJ ground work into hkd. Surviving on the ground is important! So especially now, when we can't practice a lot of traditional hkd joint locks, throws, etc. on one another, I'm looking for drills we can do to keep ourselves ready. Several of these fit the bill, so thank you!

I'd like to try these Drills.
But in Duo training one has to do Jumping JJJ as a starting Way&Path instead of Standing or Ground. Because the combatants one will encounter will be so humongous and muscular and shredded, you'll have to conquer them by locking and choking the legs around the head which is basically like a checkmate situation for the opponent.

Haha shoot gave me an incredibly hard time when I was learning them. So I hoped going slow to learn was better than showing it all fast 😂 take it slow and you totally got it. Also maybe some quad and hamstring stretches before to help with some tightness surrounding the knee! 🙏🏻
