    hi, my name is Carmen de Puerto Rico and I love your videos in RUclips I'm using my son's account and my English is regular. I wish you could do a full process of rollerset ,a new one with your current hair. I'm very grateful to you, hugs and kisses

    You should try putting Vaseline on the already relaxed hair to protect it from relaxer run off when you wash it. You need to cut off about 2 inches

      @@maryanna5110 no one should ever use extra strength relaxer 😒

    • @maryanna5110
      @maryanna5110  2 года назад +1

      @@chocolatediamonds5760 It all depends on your hair type. My hair, as other people who use extra strength, is very thick and strong. I used regular before and it didn’t straighten them as extra strength does. I respect your comment but not everyone has the same hair type/texture and I think it’s all about finding what is best and works for your hair. Plus I only relax my hair every 6 months, if not more, and use oils and protective hairstyle to keep it healthy. ☺️

    How long do you stretch for?

    • @maryanna5110
      @maryanna5110  2 года назад

      Most times 5-6 months. I usually have a protective style during those months. There have been occasions where I kept my protective style for like 2-3 months and relaxed my hair after that as the new growth made it hard to manage; but most times I stretch for 5-6 months 😊

    Do you think this relaxer is much better than soft and beautiful ??

    • @maryanna5110
      @maryanna5110  2 года назад

      Unfortunately I have never tried the soft and beautiful relaxer however, someone I know tried the soft and beautiful relaxer and didn’t really work well on her hair; but then again it depends, something that works well on someone’s hair might not work as well on someone else. Overall I think I have seen more people use ORS Olive Oil Relaxer. Do you usually use Soft and Beautiful? ☺️

      Yes,I usually use soft and beautiful relaxer but I need to try another one different. Thanks have a nice day 😊

    I did relaxation in January 22, can I redo all my hair again?

    • @maryanna5110
      @maryanna5110  2 года назад

      Once you relax for the first time, the next times you relax you only have to relax your new growths (I heard that relaxing all your hair again will cause the ends to become thin with time). I usually relax my hair every 5-6 months. I read somewhere that you can relax it more often (like every 2-3 months) but to be honest I think the less the better as, at the end of the day, it is a chemical; so I would say every 5-6 months (so in your case I would prob wait another month) but at the end of the day it’s up to you/ your preference; also depends on how fast your hair grows and how manageable it is😊

      @@lovepeaceunique3905 Woow that's good to hear!! I always admire people who are natural, cause it's not easy. I have been stretching my hair for the past 4 months (been doing protective hairstyles). I followed your advise a couple of weeks ago and blow dried my hair and it actually really helped in managing it! At least I can relax my hair less often now and stretch it longer :)))). Ahaha thankss. It's because when you wash off the relaxer, all the knots come out (at least for my hair) and, as you may have seen, no hair came out at that point. The main reason why I comb my hair when the conditioner is on is to distribute the product and not much to detangle it at that point because it should already be by that time (at least for me) 😄

    Not trying to be mean but you need more research and practice, I thought I was watching a video from the 80’s. Ima come back in a few months to see your progress 🤷🏾‍♀️

    • @maryanna5110
      @maryanna5110  2 года назад +15

      I respect your comment but I don’t think I need more research and practice. I have been relaxing my hair for 10years+. Initially by a hairdresser at a hair saloon, then my mum and now myself and this is the method that has always worked for my hair (they are what the instructions in the pack say anyway). My hair is healthy and strong. What works for someone might now work for someone else and that’s ok.
      I believe a Google research can’t tell you what is best for your hair, only experience can. It’s about finding the best method that works for your hair. ☺️ Video from the 80’s? Are you sure you put the video quality at 1080? I film with my phone as many other RUclipsrs and very happy with the quality of my video, no one has complained so far. Thanks for your support 😊
