Great test. Probably will like a even softer front, little more static bag. Hyrax looked really good just a lil softer for the rig or the lug spacing not getting good bite at the top of that climb. Comp pin is showing a tiny softer on the worn silicones and lug spacing is helping vs. the xhx. Does look much better with the shock/tcase change holding the front down alot more. To be honest that width looks great !
Nice work Mr C getting that jurassic gear box out and putting a normal sized one in there. Great info on the tires cause I was considering getting the S5 xhx pins but now I'm just gonna order another set of S4 pins. Love my S4 injora pins, hands down best quality tire you can buy for such a cheap price.
Comp Pins are Comp Pins, but IMO the Pro X did really well. I love the Hyrax (probably because I have them), so I would like to see them on a Canyon rig more often
It's seems to me like pins are always going to win when you put them up against anything else. I hate the look of pins but if you're going for a hyper capable flyweight rig then you should use the most capable tires. 🤓
Get rid of that trail motor and put on a proper lightweight outrunner on this thing. I'd like to see a "legal" vs "non-legal" tire showdown. LoL, i was typing "or maybe it's Maybelene" when you said it. "this is not a competition"...said while using competition illegal tires that outperform the competition legal tires, lol.
i got an extremely light rig... no body, just carbon fiber chassis. a stubby motor and tiny esc and rx. shorty pack battery. even the links are aluminum and extremely light. i believe the gears are plastic, with plastic housing and driveshafts. the weight is all in the axles. it just floats on top of everything which is both good and bad. completely different drive. make it a featherweight to have a very different 10th there.
So far as I can tell, the Pro skid is it's own thing. Then again, as soon as I saw the top was flat, there's no real reason to change it and mess with every link length.
Shock help... Please... I can never seem to get any shock to settle like yours. I have traxxs shocks in my axial scx10.1 and tried but dont know what i do wrong. I get the feeling you dont like doing set up vids but help?
OIl weight, most likely. Underdamped will drop very quickly, overdamped will just kinda sit all the way up. My starting point is in the 300cst (27.5wt) area for pretty much every shock I use, except for the oddballs like GMade and KYX that have such loose tolerances they're filled with diff oil (3000-7000cst)
Red flag on his green paint doesn't work well. Because he slithers along the rocks like a snake and you already have a Jake. Why not call him "Seth" the slithering snake.. goes great with his body as well. Like a green garden snake. Just saying. Seth fits the build.
The Owen Wilson comment just made me think you need to name this rig '0 and' in regards to the fact that it keeps loosing. Losing parts I mean. Not much pro left in the build😂
morning gents😊
I’m a junkie, everyday @ 6 here for my fix.
7am for me, just awake and getting ready for the day. breakfast and a little crawler canyon. makes the start of the day.
4 P.M. every day

I don;t know why it didn't occur to me earlier that the S5 would be temperature-specific. They should do amazing here through the winter.
@CrawlerCanyon I didn't think of that either,I'll wait till winter and see how they do then.
gotta love a good portmanteau. 10/10
The evolution of the Pro continues. Looks like the reduction in OD is the way to go.
I have to agree-- zero not enough, 40 too much, and 20-ish seems pretty strong all around.
at least 30%

Got love more gooder
The wind chimes in the background really give the monastery feel, so whoever visit can say they made the pilgrimage to hollow ground lol😂
Can we get cross weight and CG running on the pins please?
MR.c, from what you know about s5, do you think it's like the predator compound in the heat?
It definitely seems like it. Starts to fall off around 80ºF, just like Predator.

could you take a class 1 injora silicone and put a wrap or two of fridge foam to make a softer inserts for your rear xhx
I have blue class 1 silicone sans foam in my XHX’s and work ok…. I have more inserts to test.

Did they change the center skid bolt pattern so you can't run a standard flat delrin skid?
So far as I can tell, the Pro skid is it's own thing. Then again, as soon as I saw the top was flat, there's no real reason to change it and mess with every link length.
Red flag is coming along great.
Yo
would you get the pro portal swap kit
IMO just buy the axles and build from scratch would be a better route really. portal pro axles do look good.
@@lastcreations8845 It's looking like it might not be that hard to build it cheaper than the kit if you're gonna run a different transmission anyways.

Sounds like your neighbor needs New battery in their carbon monoxide / fire alarm
