There are under 210 total scx24 aluminum rippers (numbers 1-207 + prototype and a few oddballs) and under 110 TRX4M (numbers 1-100 + prototype and a few oddballs)
Ok that makes sense then on the Pink being such a high number. I guess the pink and the blue limited a were the last few to go out the door. Thanks for the clarification!
@@TheShopMiniRC oh lord, I have. Nothing to what is in these both being built now. … they may get sold before I run them. I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable scratching up such a pricey & limited release. …decisions…. 😂
Thanks for the detailed video! I have that MEUS front axle and I found it had overdrive compared to stock SCX24 axles (my rear is a stock style aluminum assembly with +5mm hexes)
That's correct. FR and RR come with 2/14T gears in the MEUS and they even give you a 2/16 for the rear axle (giving you the 14% OD then) for their setup. Too bad the front worm gears are not interchangeable with the standard ones though. -Great idea on the rear axle. I could have done that to get rid of having that tall rear link riser on this build. -Cheers!
Both great choices! I’m torn on the Black Shift RC etched wheels being my favorite on the white. I cannot decide at all on the orange. They all look fantastic really.
Man I love yr vids! How you build and edit your vids with such attention to detail is exactly how I like to do my builds! I'm learning so much form you and getting a ton better at building just overall and in general. Thanks man.
On my first set I put an o-ring on the front end on the axle shaft itself and then slid it through the back of the knuckle into the bearing and then through and that took out a lot of that tire shop and I contacted them about it and several other people did also but once I found that it's like they started putting behind the heck😊
Heck yeah. I always have those 4mm and 5mm hexes on hand too. It’s amazing how much difference a mm can make sometimes with wheel fitment. Great little fine tuning device.
When I have come to find is they put that overing back there to keep the slop out of the Grimm cuz when we first started getting them they had a lot of slop in the tire
First person I heard about the long travel oil shocks was from you the hot racing I don't like them near as much either that or I'm running the wrong weight of fluid in them as the 36 Big 4 hot racing are really good I like them a lot more
Really beautiful builds! So are you and the other folks that got these special edition kits on a Meus mailing list/club membership? Be nice if the headlights matched the white color light of the light bar. I wonder if the headlight wires could be spliced into the light bar wires for on/off controls? And +1 on the white wheels. Lets the pink tube frame stand out on it's own, as it should. :) Silver on the orange as well.
Appreciate that! No mailing list, just had to be quick about purchasing them. They didn’t last long…. Especially the pink/white limited one. Already have a switch for the pink one like I did on the orange. Don’t think you could tap the light bar because of all the multiple functions it has. That might just turn the headlights on and off each time you cycled the light bar mode. Love those panel matched wheels on both as well. I agree, they pop the cage nicely. Cheers!
Also I broke one of their 2 mm screws off flush in the knuckle from the steering link just cranking on the shift RC Servo just slapping them back and forth to show how fast Servo was I actually got it on a video when it happened
Also I found out if you use a different hex on the front end you won't have that tire wobble I think I used a three or a 4 mm extra and didn't make it too wide either where you got a bunch of scrub
Have you heard about big kid tiny truck ESC very very small footprint so much smaller than the other ones you know and really good and you can tune it through a Wi-Fi Linker
Yes I would consider, let me think. Can I get back to you? Not planning on driving either in the interim, still want to do the light switch in the white and Exo CVDs on the Silver. You’ll be first in line on the pink… it won’t be cheap… 😂
@@bcochener Thanks! I pulled the trigger on Pink November 17th through Amazon, now shows unavailable. 🥲 I think I like the whole setup on the orange one better but you did nice work on both. Thanks for dibs on your pink one. 👍
I don't know of anybody else has noticed it but I'm mainly every transmission you get besides a couple that spur gear the bearings that are in the back inside the transmission that holds that shaft has like a millimeter or two of wobble right I replace all of my bearings with high-speed bearings and I try to get rubber steel bearing and not steel steel because that's where a lot of that noise comes from on metal gears because the spur gear is wobbling up and down and affecting your gear mesh even on mofo transmission I replaced his bearings because that wobble in that spur gear
That's the fastest Servo on the market I have no phone service and brass and aluminum I have the Black Label I have every Servo you can Bank of I have reefs NSD RC and still the shift is quicker than any of them but it is not as strong as some of them
I probably will sell them both. I’ll let you know. Both still just tabletop driven. Still want to add a light switch to the pink one too. I have toooooooooooo many. I need less, to drive them more.

My favorite wheel/tire combos gotta be white for the pink ripper and the orange for the orange ripper, looks absolutely killer

I want you to know…I just spent $44 but I got 6 sets of those HobbySoul tires🤣 told ya I needed em!🤘🏻
Hell yeah! I got some more on hand to try on another build as well. I think you’ll like them.

Awsome builds, still waiting for parts to finnish my (Plastic) Ripper build 🙃
That is sweet looking Brian

It's cool 👍 I enjoyed watching the video
Thanks for doing this build video!! It's giving me inspiration to crack open # 167.
Nice! Is that another Pink/white??
Yes! Little Guy white wheels look killer. Injora swamp claws are my go to tires. 👍
@@Logger_Crawler Oh sweet! You’re going to enjoy the build for sure!
All right commented on this once but I forgot what I end up doing was running like a 3 or 4 mm hex and that takes care of a lot of it

Both beautiful rigs
Thank you Andy!
More and more I see these I really kick myself in the ass I missed out I love that orange and silver one
Well, you see I accidentally bought a pink and orange… 😆
I ran LG RP 33 percent underdrive in the rear on the axles
How’d you like it? Haven’t run that ratio yet. I assume similar to 33 O.D.
When I have come to find is they put that overing back there to keep the slop out of the Grimm cuz when we first started getting them they had a lot of slop in the tire
Yeah. Floppy and sloppy for sure.
Sweet builds, I like the orange ripper, what leds you use for the main lights?
Appreciate that! The LEDs are from the MEUS Ripper light kit on Amazon or their site.
