@@SONWU if you would, you could redo a series on the TE Medieval, there are apparently some differences. But your work on the KOII is much appreciated.
These videos are SO helpful!!! I got the K.O. ii about 3 months ago and haven’t done much with it, Just watching these tutorials this week has helped me make several patterns, eliminating the friction of creating with a new device. Thank you!!
Great stuff! As a visual person, I've found trimming best works for me using the online sample tool. You can trim sounds on there as well and see the waveforms for each sample.
I don't get the way time stretch bpm works.... in the video increasing bpm slows down the sample and decreasing the bpm speeds up the sample... shouldn't it work the exact opposite?

Hello, I'm a beginner, I have a question: what is connected to the end of the jack cable? I tried to connect the output of the KO II with a jack cable on line 1 of a focusrite scarlett2i2 to have the KO II on my DAW: but when I use the PAN, it doesn't work, the sound is mono. The problem comes from the focusrite. How do I get the stereo sound of KO II on my DAW?
Since there is no SD card and very limited memory, is there a way to offload projects or samples that you would like to keep elsewhere and call back for later use? This will free up memory for new projects and samples. How is this done, if possible?
Son Wu is the MVP 🤝🏾 I hope they continue to evolve this platform. If they add a proprietary mini daw (not ableton lol) this would become a serious challenger in the space.
Is it possible to permenantly trim a recorded sample? Like say I recorded a snare but it's got a bit of a gap before it starts and I know I won't ever want that gap to be there so is there a way to trim it so that it will always be trimmed whenever I select that sound ?
hey man, thanks for these demos- they've been so helpful in cases where I know what this or that will do(kinda), but it's nice to have the full knowledge of what's really going on- thnxs
Q. can you connect a usb contrller keyboard to the KOii to play sounds in the koii? i know that the sp-404mkii cannot do this and requires midi trs connection only.
...my KO2 came from the factory with a messed up sample library and I have no way to fix it.. most of them seem missing entirely. it jumps from sound 31 right to 100.. @0:34 you go through the sound library by 10 at a time and land on sound number 38... I don't even have that.. 145 to 200.. 253 to 300.. 357 to 400.. 459 to 500.. and stops at 558..
Question..and if this has already been answered in the comments, my apologies. How did you turn off the "automatic auditioning" of the trim function meaning: as you turn either knob the sample plays?? Thank you
Another great video Son Wu. Well paced and easily explained, thank you. As opposed to MIDI identifying the base note, I don't believe it is possible to identify the note of any trigger being recorded. If keys are played chromatically or by a certain scale then it would be useful to know the note of each pad but I guess this can be done with setting the root note to the bottom left hand pad then sound sampling each pad that follows. Shame the K.O. II doesn't immediately identifies the note per pad on the display... unless you know different?
@@SONWU Doesn't seem that this function exists. Would love to see T.E. provide an update which allows you to see the note and octave on the display when pressing a pad.
In shift + System > + 3x to get to "PAD" Hit the + Symbol until you get to "KEY" same goes for the scale, so if you want scale, click enter on "SCR" instead of "KEY"

Using your tutorial videos to make sense of the Medieval that I just purchased. Thank you good sir!
My pleasure, glad my videos are helping you!

@@jbjb9691 The differences are minimal…and apart from multisamples it is all in here: ruclips.net/video/yRym01X51EU/видео.html

so glad you’re making these videos. helpful

What a great series! They're well thought out, well presented and extremely useful. Thank you!

For me doing it by ear is quicker, but I can understand wanting the visuals.

You are setting the speed the sample is…not the speed you want it to be!
Did they completely change the firmware??? My KO-II does not operate like this at all @,@
Which part are your referring to?
@sonwu Do you have a series for the OP-1 Field?

You need a TRS 1/8th inch to dual TS 1/4 cable, that should do the trick
@@SONWU thx a lot :D
Loving this series man. I definitely needed a refresher on this

How do I delete a scene?
ERASE + MAIN (hold until DEL flashes)

Yes, using the EP-133 sample tool on TE's website
can you use punch in fx on external audio. even with midi, midi out from ko2 never works with anything daw, external gear etc., how come?
Check my sounds&edit tutorial for midi settings. Punch in FX only on internal audio

We'll see, maybe TE will deliver something cool for Superbooth!
Subbed and liked! Great video man ! when I change the pitch, is there a short key to reset it back to original pitch ? TIA!
Thank you! only when changing pitch for the group using the fader (shift+fader)

Yes you can! I haven't extensively tested it, but you can at least set MIDI channels for each pad and then play it chromatically if you like.

Can you change the Key of the selected Scale (ex C# Dorian)?
There are no scale modes. But you can play every scale, as it is chromatic.
