Good to see you! The stress from your work situation would be driving me bonkers, glad you took a “you” day! I love the house that you’re going to stitch! I looked at the website, I might be tempted to order one! So cute! And your red sampler is stunning!
So true! Work stress is a bit high at the moment. And I still want to do a good job but then I’m also getting myself prepared for leaving. Ugh. I got my silks yesterday for Vibrant Flowers. So pretty! And more berry than the cover photo. I think it’s gonna be amazing.
I hope so too! Hello Fresh is a bit of a luxury but when you have a discount it is a great tool to help when life is a bit crazy. I’m getting every fortnight for a couple months to just give me some mindless dinners :)
Great to see Fredrika… I managed to score Zebs copy this week… love your fabric choice, might have to copy if I don’t have something in my stash. You reminded me I have an Elli Jenks chart I have stitched yet… so many lovely things I want to do
Take care, Leigh....post car accident phone calls are terrible to receive, especially when you don't know how your loved one is, even worse, being far away. Understandably, stitching takes a back seat....and in my experience you go into "get by mode." I enjoy seeing your stitching and seeing you share your shopping with us. ❤
It’s scary and you feel so hopeless. I tried to keep calm and just reassure my sister that he was in good hands and in the next place. She was on her own as the kids were all at work etc. thank goodness it was only the car that was seriously damaged.
Pleased to hear you having mean looking after yourself and that your brother in law is okay. Good for you in doing some shopping, that can always help our mental health I reckon. Love the Vibrant Flowers pattern and the red sampler. Take care and have a great week. Happy Stitching🧡🙋♀️
Hi Leigh take care of you, good to hear your brother in law is doing ok,loved all your stitching charts and haul, wishing you a great week,Thanks for sharing🇳🇿❤️🪡
Hi Leigh, hope you are having a better week. Sometimes these things all hit at once so good to hear you switched off for a day and looked after yourself. I look forward to seeing your new starts.
I am doing the clock 3d series from Eli jenks. I hated the interlock canvas soooo much so I switched it to 14 count Aida (it was 14 count interlock) and I will find some stability product to put inside to create stiffness when I see it together. Those silks are gorgeous
Thank you for the video. My Robert was in that kind of accident a month or so ago and I had to tell him to go home you are in shock and stay there or you will get really sick. Dancing and playing can wait. Some weeks are just to be endured and walked through. It is nice you have taken care of yourself because there is more to come and your health comes first. I love your stitching, I always want to do what you are doing, and I can't, so I just enjoy your work. My daughter started her new job in Sacramento and was sworen in now she just has to design what the job is. Silly that the people that higher her doesn't know where to start.
Keep looking after yourself Leigh. I’m glad your brother in law is fine and cars can be replaced. Love your Silks 4u….beautiful. Wishing you a better week ahead and happy stitching 🤗
Indeed. So thankful he wasn’t seriously injured. Could have been a million times worse. It will be a great week … Friday is a holiday. 🥰 I was thinking of you yesterday. Will need to message you to see how you are.
Indeed. Gotta keep paddling. On the train, in the cold and fog, heading in to the office. Have to rework a bunch of reporting into a new template that the project practice released in April but forgot to tell anyone … and the governance papers are due tomorrow so … it has to be today. I love rework (said no one). I’d rather frog cross stitching. 😂
You have a mountain of stress on top of you Leigh. Please take care of yourself....self care is critical. Tea, bed and books was a great idea!!! You are 100%right that you have to take care of you to be able to look after all those important to you. Sending hugs!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Wonderful! There are so many lovely things to stitch. I kept Fredricka out and filled her in although I forgot to add her top wing. Doh. Next time 🤓

We love a new start, eh?

Those clocks are wonderful. I quite like stiff fabrics so I think I’ll be fine with the canvas. We shall see. Haha

Yeah. Isn’t it strange? There’s a vacancy but they do t really know what it’s for other than they need stuff done!
🥰

Oh wow what a dreadful time you have had. So pleased your brother in law is ok. Take care of you and enjoy your stitching.
To be fair, others are having a more dreadful time. But the cracks were showing in my brain so … a timeout was needed.
I know what boat you are in right now. Keep a float my friend.

Indeed. It was the best I could do. I think I even left my phone in another room so I could ignore the entire world. 🤓
I'm glad your brother in law is good to be ok 👍
Thank you. X
