The Lions ending their playoff drought against the best QB in their franchise history has to be the most ironic thing ever. If someone made a movie about it you wouldn’t believe it was real.

Dan Campbell hasn't set the tone for the "Revival" of Lions football, because there was simply nothing to revive. We had been a punching bag for 60 years and our only claim to fame was wasting the careers of two of the GOATs. MCDC, Brad Holmes and their core group of players have completely changed the culture of the entire franchise. Seeing the generation I loved to watch change completely and the team I followed have a whole new set of players I don’t know is so weird but that’s football I guess
as a lifelong lions fan, i've never been happier. Watching my favorite player of all time produce highlight after highlight just for us as a franchise to make the playoffs once broke my heart. but now our team is young, promising, and the sky is the limit for us. just goes to show how effort put into the team can pay off, and I cannot say more about dan campbell. no coach we've ever had had anything close to that level of promise and confidence in our team
I never heard that press conference before, but to me it is no surprise as to why the players want to play for him. Mad respect, especially when you compare Campbell to someone like Mike Zimmer, treating his players like shit and talked only about mistakes his team made after they won a playoff game.
Oracle , I have a golden idea for you !! Series where you go through past seasons week by week. For us who didnt follow the sport then. For example like 2014. would be cool to "relive" a season in a hour or 3. I am a bears fan and would be nice to fly though a season as oppose to this one game a week bullshit lol. I expect my royalty check in the future. You are welcome
Baker made me fall in love with the Browns in 2018, and hate them when they got Deshaun. Idk about a ring tho, but I do think he's better than a lot of people give him credit for
Seahawks fan here. Russell Wilson was successful in a Pete Carroll system and an incredible defense. Full Stop. Wilson's head got big and he thought he was the reason for Hawks's success. The other players felt disrespected and hated Wilson. His decision in the SB was the start of the decline. The trade (the best in history for the Seahawks) was celebrated in Seattle. We laughed when Denver thought they could even make the playoffs. After the Hawks beat them at home they finished dead last in their division; We knew Denver had a lemon and it proved right. If he had any humility he would have structured his contract (like Brady did) and the Hawks would have had more success. But he chose fame and a pile of money over success. He is washed now and Seattle celebrates every loss he takes.
And now you guys have Mike Macdonald as your coach. I can't express how irritated I am that we (Ravens) didn't fire Harbaugh and promoted Mike to HC. You guys are in good hands. I can tell you with the utmost confidence.
I watched that Rams-Raiders game while sitting in my college apartment. I looked at my roommate and said, "Here comes a Baker Mayfield legacy moment." I am so happy to have been right. So happy for Baker. Now as a Vikings fan I get to root for a Sam Darnold legacy moment every week lol
This new era of the NFL feels so foreign to me. The 2010s were defined by legendary quarterbacks who were synonymous with their team’s identity. And when they moved teams they took success with them and left impossibly large shoes to fill. But now in the 2020s it almost feels like QBs are easily replaced. QBs don’t single-handedly carry a team or sink them. The offenses often seem to be only as good or bad as the receivers and coaches that surround the QB. It feels like there’s been a paradigm shift.
I remember this season as a Patriots fan. I thought we found the heir to Brady with Mac and thought all would be well as he had a solid rookie season. If only I knew what would come next……
My GF never really watch football then the hard knock happen with the lions. She fell in love with Dan Campbell. Now she’s a football fanatic even watching college games. She watches and seek games more than me. I kinda fell out love with the game in the last few years since I tore my knee and watching the sport I love get soft. But Dam Campbell has that dog that tenacity that makes you want to play for him. Just like my head coach did in high school. He makes you feel like you want to win not just for self or team but for him as well. Because of the work he puts in.
Just so you know, as a Seahawks fan the product has slowed WAY down. There was a vocal part of the fanbase that wanted to move on after the 2017 Season. Pete and Russ leaving was LONG overdue.
I'll admit, I didn't like the Lions hiring Dan Campbell at first. I heard his kneecap comment and thought, "Good lord, who tf is this clown?" Still wasn't high on him after his first season. But the turnaround we've seen from Detroit since the 2nd half of 2022 has been amazing to see!
As a raiders fan I really miss 2021 man Derek Carr just lead us to the playoffs we had the best underdog story in the entire nfl and now we have a great defense but the worst qb room in the nfl minus the giants
I've got to defend Mac Jones' fall from grace wasn't his doing, I blame Bill Belichick!!! The Patriots lost Josh McDaniels (OC), and replaced him with a Defensive Coordinator and a Special Teams Coach, Plus Matt "Fatty" Patricia (OC) benched Kendrick Bourne (Mac10's #1 Reciever) for close to half the season, for no given reason!!! 2023 - Another new OC, different calls and route trees, and not many actual weapons...Good Luck with your future MAC!!!
Even as a diehard Chicago Bears fan, the lions are probably my 2nd favorite team in the league rn. I know all the stuff about being division rivals but both teams have been so bad for so long its hard to hate a team like that. Not only that but its impossible to not love Dan Campbell
When the Rams traded Goff I was in shock. I loved Goff and the rams so I was torn. Don’t get me wrong stafford is awesome and I appreciate the Super Bowl but he was on his way out. Goff was still learning, albeit he’s not a superstar but he can win. Either way, love to see either of them win. Even when it’s against each other. lol
It seems like what happened with Russell Wilson in Denver was surprising to everyone except me!! I said that was going to happen and wondered what everyone was making such a big deal about as soon as I heard about the trade, and EVERYONE called me an idiot for it!!!🤣😂
Russell was propped up by a great defense and had a coaching staff that tailored the offense specifically to his strengths without relying on him for victories thanks to Beast Mode and the Legion. We're seeing Russ as Russ was and really is, which is a guy with limited vision and poor decision making at the most important position in the game. On top of that he's locker room kryptonite and doesn't endear himself to his teammates in a way that even the BIGGEST stars like Brady and Mahomes did/do. His career is likely over, at least as it was.

You forgot to mention that out of all QBs drafted in 2021, only two have signed extensions with their original team. Besides Trevor Lawrence, the other one is Davis Mills, third rounder, who signed last week a 1 year, $5M extension with the Texans to backup CJ Stroud.
The mayfield situation was insane. Browns did him dirty but good for him man. Glad he’s doing well.
Awesome vid my man
Im a Seahawks fans but moved to South Korea in 2022 and I couldn’t watch any NFL or keep up with the sport so seeing how much has changed is crazy. Seeing the generation I loved to watch change completely and the team I followed have a whole new set of players I don’t know is so weird but that’s football I guess
That Dan Campbell press conference speech was wild lol. Love that dude!
as a lifelong lions fan, i've never been happier.
This was obviously made before Dak's contract but still amazing. Keep up the great work!
I’m a lions fan, but personally so happy Baker revived in TB
Mayfield lit it up for 289 and 4 TDs in week 1. I bet the Browns would like to have that one back.
And now Justin fields is a very functional QB. His problem was Chicago this whole time!
Man, you need to do a video on the Mac Jones fallout, that thing was one of the most sad and atrocious things iv'e seen as a patriots fan.
Ive been a baker mayfield truther since his rookie year. I legit think he will win a ring at some point
Baker made me fall in love with the Browns in 2018, and hate them when they got Deshaun. Idk about a ring tho, but I do think he's better than a lot of people give him credit for
Baker could definitely win a ring. But it'd likely be as a veteran backup someday on a different team
@@richborn6700 nah the bucs just need a consistently above average run game to win a ring. Thats really the only thing they need
This really could change how quarterbacks are perceived. We need to go back to the 2000s when IF you played as a rookie you were actually ready.
Thank you for continuing to mention Geno Smith
Dude is inspirational
😂 hardly
Agrees in 12th Man...
Babe wake up new KTO banger just dropped
Lions were actually better than that record suggested. They were in many games.
They honestly should have beaten my Ravens in Week 3 that year. Tucker saved our asses (like always)
As a Steelers fan, I am happy to take all the Qb and coaching talent for a bargain. Thank you Bears, Broncos, and Falcons. Well done Tomlin.
as an Ohio State fan do college football season 10 years ago 😮💨
Colin Cowherd used to call Russell Wilson the best football player on the planet 3:19
Always thought Baker was a good QB. He’s found a new home in TB and I am happy for him.
W when KTO uploads
Obviously this was made before the season but Fields has been the starter in Pittsburg and has looked pretty solid tbf
As a wrestling fan seeing Trevor fail in Jacksonville is wonderful! Since Tony Khan also owns AEW and he sucks in two sports!
As a raiders fan I really miss 2021 man Derek Carr just lead us to the playoffs we had the best underdog story in the entire nfl and now we have a great defense but the worst qb room in the nfl minus the giants
This is why the nfl is an entertainment company… some of this stuff is too crazy😂
20:04 and he won again in week 1 vs the rams must be so satisfying
I wish the lions were still poverty
I would be ok if my team lost to the Lions back to back in exchange for a SuperBowl ring
Even as a diehard Chicago Bears fan, the lions are probably my 2nd favorite team in the league rn. I know all the stuff about being division rivals but both teams have been so bad for so long its hard to hate a team like that. Not only that but its impossible to not love Dan Campbell
Love Dan Campbell. That's a players coach
I said that was going to happen and wondered what everyone was making such a big deal about as soon as I heard about the trade, and EVERYONE called me an idiot for it!!!🤣😂
15:11 “…I milly rock”
Russell was propped up by a great defense and had a coaching staff that tailored the offense specifically to his strengths without relying on him for victories thanks to Beast Mode and the Legion. We're seeing Russ as Russ was and really is, which is a guy with limited vision and poor decision making at the most important position in the game. On top of that he's locker room kryptonite and doesn't endear himself to his teammates in a way that even the BIGGEST stars like Brady and Mahomes did/do. His career is likely over, at least as it was.
As someone who started watching in 2021/2022 this video has been expected :D What a time it was to join! GO LIONS.
I’m glad Bakers doing well in Tampa, I always felt like he was treated unfairly by the browns fans and organization considering all he did for them.
