    The no call on the Cowboys pass interference in the Wild Card game against the Lions led to Dez dropped it. Dez dropped it led to the legendary choke job. The Packers legendary choke job led to the Malcolm Butler interception. So in summary, the Lions cost the Seahawks the Super Bowl.

    • @johnmatthew8710
      @johnmatthew8710 3 месяца назад +5

      @scottchapin5594 I'm a Bears fan who always felt Forte was underappreciated, and am in no way trying to diminish how impressive it is for a running back to catch 100+ passes like he did that year, or his track record of being as consistently very good/great as he was in his career. That said, it would be hard to support an argument for him as the best receiving back ever when he barely cracks the top 10 for career receiving yards in the category. Incidentally, I remember that 2014 Bears team under weakling Marc Trestman being such a disaster.

    • @thespeedracer5772
      @thespeedracer5772 3 месяца назад +5

      I think that would be a great idea as he is absolutely one of the most underappreciated players of this era. Are you perhaps a bit younger & more so going by what you have been exposed to, so far?
      Probably want to check out a guy named Roger Craig. Zero intent f/me to brush back your assertion, as I can tell via the way you communicate that you know the game at a much higher level than most...
      And would appreciate what you take in and learn with Roger Craig, Marcus Allen, LaDainian Tomlinson & Marshall Faulk...
      I'd be curious to get your feedback on the players if you decide to research them a bit and compare.
      Regardless, I'm all for a video solely on Matt Forte and like to see him getting his due from the media and fellow knowledgeable fans.

      Watt was Refrigerator Perry and Lawrence LT Taylor all rolled into one that season. I suppose the high emphasis on offense unfairly overlooked an anomaly that season. 2014 also was a changing of the guard from football back to baseball as my favorite sport after a two decade stretch due to the controversies, especially CTE, and a newly entered peak of Ken Burns documentary interest that lasted 5 years with an emphasis on baseball, jazz, and country music.

    2014 such an important year for many reasons in the NFL. Its crazy to see how much controversy surrounded the game in the off-season. Although I had been watching religiously for a few years now, this is when I started reading reports, interviews, TMZ articles to keep up with the off the field storylines.
    Now I loved every part of this video. Remembering how great demarco murray was to start the season, watching the Manziel era end b4 it even began, and especially watching my Seahawks thrive in the NFC behind their defense and young Russell.
    Than an overwhelming feeling hit me. This was the Malcolm Butler pick SB. This was the worst day in my sports fandom life. I paused this video about 3 times cuz I didnt want to see the ending but you absolutely crushed this video so I had to at least let it ride to the end

    That 2014 NFL season capped off what had been a very chaotic year in my life. I was living in Ukraine at the time, and moved to Donetsk from Kiev just two days before Maidan became violent, then later found myself in the middle of a warzone. Relocated to Kiev by leaving on one of the last trains to Kiev out of Donetsk, only to find more pandemonium by getting into a mix-up with one of the Ukrainian neo-nazi militias. Then moved out to Lviv to work an IT job that ended up becoming a major scam, only to have to leave there after a couple of months when my girlfriend's mother died. The Pats going from looking like the dynasty was over and Brady was washed up to then dominating the league and eventually winning the trophy in probably the best Super Bowl ever made it all worth it. I'll never forget that year. It's crazy to think it's been a decade since then.
