What I like about you Ricky is that you can clearly drive and take pride in your driving ability. You don't appear to drive dangerously or recklessly. As you start to take these monster tuned beasts out you have an open mind and a deadpan expression. If the owner is a reckless driving tit you tell him, but then you give each car a fairly good workout in terms of acceleration and torque (not so much handling on a technical section of road). There are so many idiots about these days driving serious kit with no sense of responsibility, car control or restraint that it's no wonder these catastrophic accidents happen.
I don't think you encourage irresponsible driving ,I think you encourage driving quickly when the time and place is appropriate and enjoying the features of a tuned car.
Keep it balanced and honest. Respect for the channel.

Except he says it’s a “normal auto” which it’s not (wet clutch not torque converter on facelift cars), claims it’s making power which it won’t on just a map (seen a load on a dyno day and without secondary cats you’re looking at 500 - for 530 or more you’d need secondary cats out and headers), and as pointed out refers to it as a 6.3...

Ricky I agree that the 6.2 V8 is the best sounding AMG engine, but I have to say the new gen AMG V8s still sound really good. They have that 8 cylinder growl and are much louder than they seem on video. Another thing to note is that the older and new AMG V8s have very different characteristics. The older V8s have the loud high pitch sound, whereas the newer V8s have a quieter low pitch muscular growl with more pops/crackles. Honestly I think they both sound fantastic, in their own ways.

I love my 2017 /////AMG C63s Coupé! the engine sound is sooo beautiful and loud af with the baffles open in Sport + and Race Mode and the crackles are straight up nasty and those bangs on the upshifts!!! Car is a beast man, I got her sooo sideways yesterday with TC Off and it’s insane 😂

True the 6.2 V8 is the best sounding AMG engine. However the new V8 engines still have that lovely 8 cylinder growl, it's just not as loud and good as this.

e92 m3 with a remap, 442 bhp vs my 521 bhp C63, no contest. comparing the C63 to newer M cars shows just how good this beast was/is. I've beat a few M4's, even kept up with some bikes.

I had the saloon with the performance pack it handled miles better and the gear changes were so much quicker than the non pp versions.

Even though I don’t care about gas mileage when it comes to buying/owning a fun-car, I was blown away by my buddies average gas mileage. It was something ridiculous like 8 mpg or around there. That’s ok though - if I had one I’d put a “smiles per gallon

Good vid, your guy has pretty much the exact-same car as me colour,spec,tune etc etc except mine has a LSD. If your ever in the south London/Surrey area you’ll have to experience the difference with a lsd compared to the open diffs on other models, much more confidence and more fun when traction is off.

The M3 V8 mentioned was a flat plane V8. The C63 M156, like most Merc V8's and US muscle, is a cross plane V8. Flat plane's have a cylinder fire every 180 turn of the crank. For Cross plane's it's one fire per 90 degree. Hence the torque.

The main reason this car is more torque than the M3/RS4 it was up against back in the day is simply because of the engine size: 6.2 is a 40% bigger than the 4.0 in the BMW. When you haven't got turbos/superchargers, displacement is key. On average you're going to get 75 Ib-ft per 1.0, so they are all relative

When tuned theyre pre much as fast (in a straight line) as the new c63s. Sounds sooooooooo much better than the new car too. Of course the new one is more tunable, faster out the box handles, has better interior etc. But this thing has its own character to it. Id say its probably responsible for bringing in most of the amg customers of today.
I bought mine nearly 5yrs a go and I don’t regret it, I still have it. What I found hard was finding a car with an LSD, all the Performance Pack cars were left without them by their idiotic original owners, and to be honest the condition of some cars even a year old was bad. So, in the end, I “settled” for a mint standard C63 which had the LSD. I had all the intentions of tweaking it, and with headers now I guess I’m in a little deep to turn back. I can’t wait to get it out of storage again in the Spring.
By the way, the Performance pack brake is steel/alu composite 2-piece, they are the same size as the normal C63 brakes, they have the same callipers, and the only time you’ll notice any difference is after many hard stops; they’ll fade less due to less heat. This owner is talking rubbish I’m afraid, and if his brakes were bad on his last C63 then they must have needed a change, perhaps why he crashed it.
