It's horrible that you weren't able to receive the care you needed, and that's something that needs to be addressed. That said, it prbably was a good idea to hold back a child who hadn't been able to attend class for extended periods of time. A lot of my students come in to college calculus not knowing basic algebra like (1/2)*(2) cancelling. They are fortunate enough that my job exists, I'm paid to provide flexible help and will happily teach them all the way from multiplication up to integration as long as they attend often enough to receive my help. Most people sadly don't have access to this, so if they fall behind then that's that. Holding someone back a year to ensure that they move on with the knowledge they need for the enxt year is sometimes necessary for their success. In a way, I think we should be holding more students back, so that fewer of them get to levels like college calculus so far behind that it takes a Herculean effort and a ridiculous amount of time for them to catch up.

Been talking with my therapist a lot, she is also disabled--and I think it needs to be said that we have to STOP comparing disability. The idea of who is "worse" or who is "more disabled" is SO toxic and needs to STOP! And instead of people with invisible disabilities, neurodivergence, and physical disabilities fighting--we should all be working together to help as many of us get accommodated as possible. Building not accessible? Those who can get in should fight for those who can't to have access. Can't get a social shift because people don't "see" you as disabled? Have people they see as disabled stand up for us. Not all of us will win each time, but if we keep fighting each other, we all loose. :( Edit: We are all fighting over scarce resources, but the infighting is not helping. We are all different people, with different experiences, and different disability needs. Yes, not all neurodivergence is a disability, but for the ones that are, the ones disabled by it--they should be included in disability justice.

If my principal sends out one more infuriating email to us I swear to god I'm gonna freak out /hj He sent out an email behind seniors backs telling parents that they "absolutely must NOT believe" us when we say that no work is really happening at school even though it's true. Like, it's clear that this email is because parents want an excuse to not let their students stay home, but to allow that just say that it's helpful to be in school because people are usually more productive there (even though that's also a lie lol). He didn't have to deflect blame to the seniors when we're all super stressed and just want a little break since most of our classes don't even have teachers anymore cause they're all away on trips smh. Also, though this is less important, he lied about how his kids took the exams that we have soon seriously and got college credit for it, when I know for a fact that one of his kids didn't take exams cause he graduated during COVID. TLDR my principal sent out a bs email blaming seniors and trying to make parents distrust us and it peeved me off.

I guess??? “The increase in school absences” We have missed 21/30 days of school and have missed over 26 days in the last two bells due to heartburn / acid reflux issues (the 21/30 part is due to being sick minus one day where we left early for thanksgiving break). We might have to be held back due to it. We go to a private school so we don’t have to follow the law about sick days so we could have more but they stuck with 30 (it could’ve been less so at least it isn’t, but still). We had an endoscopy last summer to see if there was any issues and we had a probe in our stomach and I don’t think it was put in right because we could feel it every time we swallowed (and that fucker HURT) until that shit came out and it was in there for about a week so I don’t think that’s supposed to happen -Nyx

Back, was taking a small tech break due to some personal social issues where I needed to be off some chats and anything political to let my frontal lobe stop and relax to a normal state. im like 90% sure i have ME/CFS but my parents are all like "your just growing. your a teenager, your sister was the same!!!" It was happening for ground beef last year, I'd literally buy it and immediately cook it and sometimes it would still be rotten right then. Even things like pasta. PASTA. How does pasta even go bad it's literally dried wheat?? I remember in childhood that we'd buy veggies and use them for at least a week, sometimes two. Now I buy a bag of spinach and right out of the bag I have to throw a few pieces away. If I don't use it all immediately it'll rot, and lettuces are the same so I can't even make salad. I started growing my own lettuce which I highly recommend but even the plants are low quality and I'm having difficulty sourcing anything better (the "small business" plant store just repackages the same dying plants as the big hardware stores so what choice do I have? I can't start some plants from seed in this climate with my current living situation either). It's literally impossible to eat some foods now and it's so frustrating.

So I recently got into an anime/manga called Black Clover, I’m enjoying it a lot but recently I had an experience with the fandom that was pretty disappointing. There’s a certain character that has a scar on his face, which affects his hairline and eyebrows, and I was looking up references to draw him because he’s one of my favorite characters. One of the first google results was this post on Reddit of a drawing of him but with no scar and in their words, “normal” hair and eyebrows. Pretty much all of the comments were nice and supportive, there were quite a few comments saying it was a shame he had the scar cause otherwise he’d be one of the prettiest characters in the series :/ One person even said they hope it gets “cured” at some point in the future 😭 So yeah, I drew him as he is, cause he’s got one of the nicest characters designs in the series (imo of course) and it turned out looking really cute! I’m just disappointed in the fandom smh. (Not that the source material handles his scar super well, but still) Anyways, anyone else getting into some new fandoms recently?

I love saying the phrases "Captain William Vangeance" and "Eye of the Midnight Sun." It's just sooooooo good! I love his name too especially with his arc. It's so good! Vangeance is a great character who has never done anything wrong. He's also so so pretty and I would hate if for whatever reason they decided to heal his scar. I also love that the Wizard King gave him his helmet because Vangeance was self conscious about his scar. His helmet thing is very pretty.

I think for biid people hate those that go through with their procedures to become disabled because there are so many people out there that didn’t have a choice in their disability (some might argue those with biid didn’t have a choice though) and then those individuals go on to claim benefits and use resources that other disabled people may be struggling to access. We go to a private school so we don’t have to follow the law about sick days so we could have more but they stuck with 30 (it could’ve been less so at least it isn’t, but still). We had an endoscopy last summer to see if there was any issues and we had a probe in our stomach and I don’t think it was put in right because we could feel it every time we swallowed (and that fucker HURT) until that shit came out and it was in there for about a week so I don’t think that’s supposed to happen -Nyx

im like 90% sure i have ME/CFS but my parents are all like "your just growing. your a teenager, your sister was the same!!!" I'm pretty sure having to spend all day in bed (or doing other low energy stuff like watching tv) minus the like 5 hours i spend at school, isnt normal. and on the weekends sleeping in till 11-13 and then doing basically nothing all day. i also have to spend minimum one day a week homebound (or bed bound some days) not being able to talk. yay disability [sarcasm].

It was happening for ground beef last year, I'd literally buy it and immediately cook it and sometimes it would still be rotten right then. Even things like pasta. PASTA. How does pasta even go bad it's literally dried wheat?? I remember in childhood that we'd buy veggies and use them for at least a week, sometimes two. Now I buy a bag of spinach and right out of the bag I have to throw a few pieces away. If I don't use it all immediately it'll rot, and lettuces are the same so I can't even make salad. I started growing my own lettuce which I highly recommend but even the plants are low quality and I'm having difficulty sourcing anything better (the "small business" plant store just repackages the same dying plants as the big hardware stores so what choice do I have? I can't start some plants from seed in this climate with my current living situation either). It's literally impossible to eat some foods now and it's so frustrating.

So I recently got into an anime/manga called Black Clover, I’m enjoying it a lot but recently I had an experience with the fandom that was pretty disappointing.
There’s a certain character that has a scar on his face, which affects his hairline and eyebrows, and I was looking up references to draw him because he’s one of my favorite characters. One of the first google results was this post on Reddit of a drawing of him but with no scar and in their words, “normal” hair and eyebrows. Pretty much all of the comments were nice and supportive, there were quite a few comments saying it was a shame he had the scar cause otherwise he’d be one of the prettiest characters in the series :/ One person even said they hope it gets “cured” at some point in the future 😭
So yeah, I drew him as he is, cause he’s got one of the nicest characters designs in the series (imo of course) and it turned out looking really cute! I’m just disappointed in the fandom smh. (Not that the source material handles his scar super well, but still)

I love his name too especially with his arc. It's so good! Vangeance is a great character who has never done anything wrong. He's also so so pretty and I would hate if for whatever reason they decided to heal his scar. I also love that the Wizard King gave him his helmet because Vangeance was self conscious about his scar. His helmet thing is very pretty.

Colours also have consistent meaning, so If you know the meanings of colours then the flags are pretty Intuitive. It's a bit more difficult than I first would have thought It would be, but I'm actually making good progress :)

I think for biid people hate those that go through with their procedures to become disabled because there are so many people out there that didn’t have a choice in their disability (some might argue those with biid didn’t have a choice though) and then those individuals go on to claim benefits and use resources that other disabled people may be struggling to access. The last argument is a bit iffy for me because it’s not necessarily one persons fault that they can access services the other may not be able to, but the frustration the other party would be feeling is justified
