You may have figured this out by now, but, here goes. It's raining here right now, but I'd be glad to send you a video of me folding down the back seats, when the weather clears. Put your hand between the part of the seat you sit on and the part you put your back on and pull up the bottom seat. It'll rest against the back of the front seat. Slide your fingers under the head rest and you'll find a push button on the side of the head rest mechanism that will release the head rest and you just pull it up and off of the seat. Then, that pull up button you were using to adjust the back seat, pull it and pull the seat forward, to lay it down. Both sides work the same and there you have your back seat area ready to haul stuff or sleep in it. If yours is like mine, go to the back and lift up the edge of the carpet. You'll find where there may be a folding table! Pull it out and fold down the legs. Dinner time! Lol! I was tickled when I found mine. The table is actually the hard surface for your cargo area, too. There is a storage compartment under there for your jack and tools. I hope this made sense. Also, if you find that you have a front leak and your floors are wet after rains, etc, it's the front windshield cowl. The backing disintegrates and I just put a thick coating of Flex seal in the cowl back and put it back on. No more wet carpet! Yay! I love my 99 CRV, Betty. She and I have driven half this country and I won't give her up until she gives up. ;) Do make sure you replace the timing! That's the major cause of of these old CRVs dying. 100,000 is the farthest I'd try going without doing it. It's very important!
I actually wanted to buy this suv from my gf's mom but she already had someone claim it :C. It's one of a kind and I see you love this suv quite a bit lol.
