  • A new ERA in Shocker Mechanical Frames.
Featuring a revised trigger pivot, trigger profile, grip texture, and revised grip material durometer.
Changes made to ERA mechanical frame trigger and pivot allows for greater range of adjustment and potentially lighter/shorter pull than previous mechanical kits. A softer more textured grip feels great in the hand, and the two bolt securement also means any standard 1911 grip will fit if you'd like to add your own. Finally, the cross-bar safety has been revised to have a more positive feel & greater accessibility.

Can you find an Etek 4 and review it. Maybe even compare it to the Etha 3 and see how generations have changed.

    • @Paintballpro18

Etek and etha are totally different platforms, one is based off a spool valve design and one is based off the stack tube design.
Would HIGHLY suggest etha 3 regardless though, at the etek 4 was produced more than a decade ago, so finding parts if it were to go down are in rather short supply. If anything at least look into a etek 5, but even then that marker is still coming up on a decade old too so wouldn't exactly recommend it either for a stack tubed design.
Etek 4 though is based off it's older brother the ego series, specifically the ego 10 and 11 to create a more budget friendly marker. The etek 4 will come with a 2 piece barrel (I believe shaft 3), and 2 different models: an LT and an AM. The LT typically runs cheaper as it has some GRN (glass reinforced nylon) components, mainly the accents and trigger frame, while the AM version will upgrade the entire marker into All Metal so no GRN pieces. Mainly, it's a feel thing, neither marker is structurally weaker than the other, but making stuff from GRN simply is cheaper than machining aluminum. It will be louder than most markers today, but a solid shooter that you can stuff in your gearbag until the next weekend and pull out the following and it'll still shoot flawlessly.
The etha 3 is a culmination of recent tech from PE, evolving into arguably the best introduction speedball marker at this time. With a bolt system that just doesn't quit and used in markers from the EMEK to the 170r. Though made entirely of GRN save the barrel and trigger, it brings modern features such as a hoseless design, quick release bolt, on/off ASA, and a 2 piece barrel straight to the beginner right out the gate for ease of disassembly and maintenence. Overall, if the customer has the ability to spend money to get a etha 3, I would whole heartedly recommend getting it as their starter marker. If you would like to compare a marker of a similar price point and value for your dollar, and empire SYX might also be an option, however personally I would go with the Etha 3 as my marker of choice between the two.

Even though its not a big deal i feel smart parts cheaped out by not including the asa nob

Wasn’t the RSX and XLS a pain in the a$$?

    • @Paintballpro18

As a previous XLS owner, yes. Eye wires had to be slipped through under the body and back into place whenever changing from mech to electro, and vise versa. With the AMP and ERA mech kits, holy cow is it so much easier.

Why that barrel back??? That's some shady poop being pulled by smart parts.

What's wrong with the new freak xl back? I like the no windows look.

@@coryjames70 I do too but this looks small not XL and plain. They usually have great milling and designs. It's a major cost reduction I see why PE does it with the 1XR's
Just wish gun and barrel had better milling

@@austinogg I own a red ERA and the barrel is actually a tad lighter than my original freak xl barrel as well as the new smaller spiral porting that makes it harder for water and stuff to get in the barrel is nice. I like the simple milling because it's super easy to clean I can just wipe it off at the end of the day instead of having to worry about those creases and crevices for paint and dirt to get in. Also theyre buttery smooth. Smoother than the AMP was for sure. And quieter.
