El Puente is easily the best Mexican restaurant gem in Springfield.
Ha ha! I haven't been yet but I'll give this one a shot! 😁
It is good!!
My friends uncle owns that place
the one in nixa is better
These restaurants are my favorite part about Springfield. It's crazy to think of how many people never experience these amazing foods just because the place didn't look fancy enough for their style or some other stupid reason! City butcher is the greatest barbecue joint to ever grace this planet! 😍
That's why we wanted to put out a video like this...so many places get unnoticed and they are some of my favorite places in town!
Also City Butcher....I've heard of it many times. If we do another video like this one Ill have to add it. AND Ill have to go to see my self 😂
Well now you've got me not only homesick, but starving as well! Thanks a bunch! My wife's favorite is Hinode. And there's Doe's Eatin' Place, where the smallest steak was TWO POUNDS!!!
I have not yet been to Doe's Eatin' Place, but it sounds SO good! 😋 We love a good steak!!! Hinode really should have been put on this list too, we have had so many requests for it 😁
@@wiserlivingrealty Yeah, but MINEX should be the only one that counts! 😡
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
We were visiting from Tulsa about a month ago, and a local recommended Kai After Dark. We went early in the evening. The food and service were exceptional - one of the best dining experiences we’ve had.
Yes! I've heard some really good things about Kai After Dark too. We have SO many good ones. 😂
Our family loves and frequent the following places:
Scramblers on Republic road
Archie's Italian Cafe on Republic
Hong Kong Inn
Tortilleria Perches on Sunshine
Neighborhood Pizza N. Glenstone
Avanzare
Gailley's
Classic Rock Coffee
S&L Donuts
Greek Belly
Soul Kitchen
These places we will always recommend. Being a transplant Iowan. I only wish someone would open up a Scandinavian/Dutch Bakery around here.
I've heard of most of these but I'll have to check these others out!!! Thank you for the recommendations!
Good to know! I’m driving through there tomorrow! Definitely will pick something up! :D
Yay!!! I'm hoping you found something AMAZING! 😃
@@wiserlivingrealty I went to the Van Gogh Eeterie!!! It was soooooo good! 🤤🤤🤤
I know a lot of these places that are the hidden gems, its pretty cool that a lot of these places are in houses.
I know! That's what I love about them too 😁
Grew up in SGF. Have often thought of moving back. Make the trip there every year or so. Must visits are Pizza House and Mexican Villa on National Ave.
Pizza House is by FAR one of our favorites.... had some the other day and it was AMAZING. 😍
Kung Fu Tacos needs to go on here. They have the best fried rice I have had since I left California. Their food is wonderful.
So "King Fu Taco" is one that we have just recently discovered and I WISH we had discovered and put it on this list. I think it's becoming one of my favorites. ❤️ Tacos and Korean BBQ? Count me in 😋
I'm glad you mentioned Cesar's lol. I agreed with everything on the list but man it'd be a sin to not mention Cesar's!
It's a killer of a place 😂
We came on Sunday 6.30.24 for breakfast.. my Daughter, Son InLaw & Myself. We were asked by the waitress what drinks we would like. I asked for Coffee and after drinking it I had to wait and wait till our waitress was called for... I asked for a Carafe as other restaurants bring upon asking .. the waitress indicated if only one person drinks.. no Carafe allowed at the table... You people are as Cheap As Can Be. I laughed my head off and already rated this place in my head. This killed the breakfast experience with you people for me... I did though ask a young lady behind the front counter for a Carafe since breakfast calls for more than 1 cup and on top of that tracking down the waitress.... Yeah, continue this Cheap No Class Act..Cusco is wonderful ( So I'm not overall dissatisfied) .. I never have had Coffee there so I don't know if the same Cheap Act Goes on There... Bill was $53.00 and you guys Monkey Dick around about a Carafe on the table for 1 guy?...Your offering to the Public is Food / Service...Hospitality
Places to vibe with great food and drinks has to include Big Momma's. I adore Hong Kong Inn! I haven't been home in 10 years, and I still have cravings and am tempted to drive 1000 miles just to get Hong Kong Inn!
SO many people love Big Momma's and Hong Kong Inn!!! Those are some good ones. 😂
Sub shop is the best sandwich place in Springfield!
I have not been, I will have to try it out!
@@wiserlivingrealty ok!!! It’s so good!
Yes agreed!
I've been all over the state of Missouri but never been to Springfield!
I was so upset that Springfield MO was not named the Simpsons home though. I mean they always beat around the bush about Springfield being in MO! Lol
Ha ha! Oh me too. I think many people were disappointed to hear this as well. 😂There are a few different Springfields!
I remember they did an episode on a trip to Branson...
Archie's Italian eatery on republic and Fremont. Oh boy!
I've not heard of this one yet but I'll have to try it. 😄
Purple Burrito Express, Pancho's, e's inn, flat rock
Hidden Gem: Pho Kim on s Campbell-yummmmmmmmm. So fresh!!! Nothing tastes fresher!
I haven't tried this one yet! We will have to. 😄
You need to go to Rericos, I know the owner personally because hes my moms friend, it's a Brazilian grill and its absolutely phenomenal.
Brazilian Grill? Sounds delicious!! I didn't know we had anything like that! 😃
Alli's! Alli's!Alli's!!!!
Yes! That's another that we've heard a lot about. 😂
Everyday Thai smacks! I gotta say though the too many good Mexican restaurants may be stretching it. Also I’d consider that Indian place next to the beer hall is a hidden gem.
I'm glad you're liking Everyday Thai! Ill have to find that Indian Place 😲
I can't believe you missed Alli's aka 7 Gables??? Great food, large servings
We did! Just not in this video. 😂 If you are interested we have that one over here ➡️ ruclips.net/video/z9xk_alQOf8/видео.html
Little Tokyo is no longer on Glenstone. The location near 44 is a pot shop and the original location next to Hong Kong Inn has changed it's name.
I believe it's called Misaki's Little Tokyo now when you look it up, they closed it for a while for renovations but it has opened back up! Is it another one you are thinking of that's on I-44?
@@wiserlivingrealty the one near I-44 definitely has closed and reopened as a pot shop.
Try Neighborhood Pizza in north Springfield
We will have to try it!
I like Mimi's Soul Food on Kimbrough.
I've not tried that one just yet!! We will have to.
@@wiserlivingrealty , the address is 533 S Kimbrough. It's a down home style, family run place that always makes me feel welcome and the food is very tasty. :)
The only one I've been to is Red’s Giant Hamburgers on Sunshine and it was BAD!
That's too bad! I've been a few times and only have had great experiences! The food was classic and tasted amazing. 😄
Ohana, Taqueria Cachanilla
Looooove Ohana! We will have to check out Taqueria Cachanilla
What about Dudleys restaurant my buddy Dan says it's great for the Twilight sandwich
Honestly I've never been! Sounds like a good one though 😂
Chips and QUESO 🧀🧀🧀
Yee yee!
Ok 😊
Let us know if you have any recommendations! ☺️
Big Mama's on C Street has amazing sandwiches, Thai express is the best food and community service, Omo's is ramen bowl heaven, and The Big Easy Grille is amazing!!!
I like Big Momma's and Omo is SO good. Haven't been to Thai express just yet though but thank you for the recommendation😁
Bair's & E's Inn (both in Republic)
They are good, BUT I've heard E's Inn was closing? 😣
@@wiserlivingrealty They better not, or you're in big trouble young man!
Haha! Unfortunately that's out of my control! I'll have to ask our friends that live there.
@@wiserlivingrealty Well, in a tradition going all the way back to Genesis 3, you COULD blame your wife in order to try to squirm your way out of it.
I’m here in school and looking for only de best
Well I hope by this list you can find one of your favorites!!! If you do please let us know. 😊
Pizza House is ok. Expensive. Like Pizza Cafe better.
Do you think so? I didn't think it was too bad!
What about Ott's
That's definitely a Springfield classic! 😂
springfield mo. known as the( greed city of the ozarks)
Why are all the restaurants (and I use that term loosely in SF) so filthy? Has SF never heard of "first impressions"?
Lots of bad reviews for Red’s tho.
That's too bad. Honestly I loved going... so I wouldn't let that stop you from going. See what you think!
Reds has lost their touch lately.
