We used I Love Tacos food truck for two years at our Springfield Gem and Mineral Society Spring Rock Fair for two years and they did a great job and had great food at reasonable prices. They did what they said they would and people that ate their food had great things to say about it.

I've had occasion to visit McDonnell County on business in earlier years; you missed an early Jessie James movie done there with some names that became widely known in the years since; and there are annual Jessie James days celebrations. - And then there is the "Unpleasantness" of the early 1860s (also known as the Civil War) and the various confederate state capitals. I was forewarned that there are some portions of southwestern Missouri that appear to have not exactly forgotten or forgiven the "war of northern aggression". - I have also visited the Wilson's Creek site near Springfield, a fine historical display.

The internet is full of people complaining about a lack of diversity in this place or that place. Translation: "White people are bad." I am sick of it.

Btw, I recognized that little sandwich shop on Walnut. That used to be Maria's, which has since moved to South Street, a couple of blocks south of the square. They had the best carne asada burritos in Springfield that I had yet found. As a recovering San Diegan, I ate there a frequently as I could.

Lambert's is one of the things I miss about living in the Ozarks. Another is Jimm's Steakhouse.

Small town in MO here, we still have law that its illegal to spit on the sidewalk. I have a theory on this, back when it was made, sidewalks were wooden, and tobacco spit stained them. Another one its illegal to tie horse in front of city hall. I was walking daughters beagle, and she took a dump on the sidewalk in front of city hall. FBI ain"t got us yet. The Dickerson Park Zoo is so pretty with winding paths and free-range gorgeous Peacocks throughout the park. It's not small, not large, but just the right size.

Stuart Castle near Eureka, MO. Greisidick Castle at Tapawingo Golf Course in St. Louis County, MO. Then there's Wood-Smith Castle, aka. "the unfinished castle", in Bee Tree Park in Oakville, MO. However, Ameren Electric destroyed it.

Osage restaurant has a great view but the food is below mediocre, Applebees quality actually! Jim steak house is decent, mostly for an older crowd. The salad bar is ok but nothing out of this world! Char is mostly see and be seeing wannabees but the food is right at mediocre. Flame is definitely a good restaurant and amazing service. Ozark mill house has the most below mediocre food ever, Golden Corral has better food. The place is amazing but the food is nothing to die for but way overpriced! Level 2 the only thing they have is way overpriced food and the steak is not good at all. Sorry buddy your recommendations are not a true representations of their quality! Probably a paid advertisement:)

We bought the old ice house across from the Morse Mill Hotel about 20 years ago when we first bought we would go camping on the property it is right on the river and I have to say we have had some strange experiences while camping mainly at night one summer we got so spooked 😱 that we just left and went home when we were leaving we noticed there were some ghost hunters visiting the hotel we thought they had stirred them up we experienced Indians chanting and a lot of dark shadows
