Actor John Hamm from Mad Men graduated from Mizzou, and Brad Pitt is also from Missouri. Great looking guys!! I'm from Lexington MO (home of the Minutemen); my dad was the site administrator of the Battle of Lexington state site in the 80's. Awesome history there because as you know Missouri was split during the Civil War.

Contemporary jazz guitarist Pat Metheny is from Lee’s Summit and the trombonist for Chicago (the band) - James Pankow - was born in St. Louis. He wrote some of their biggest hits: “Old Days”, “Make Me Smile”, “Color My World” and more.
I didn't know a lot about Pat Metheny but looking him up he seems like an interesting guy! And James Pankow too, you must really love the jazz scene 😂

Yogi Berra was born in St. Louis. Then there's 8 time world champion wrestler Harley Race born in Quitman. And probably the most famous Missourian in history, Samuel Clemens? (Mark Twain).

As a native Missourian who has lived in Nebraska for a long time, I’d mention our famous Missouri military leaders. How about John J. Pershing and Omar Bradley. Both generals and very important in WWI (General Pershing) and WWII (General Bradley).
We may have one on historical figures! This would be a great one to add to that list!

Back in the late 70's early 80's i went to Central high school and worked as stage crew, one night i was up in the projection booth looking around there was box that used be for electoral wiring inside was covered with past students signatures was surprised to find Bob Barkers in there. been close to 40 years and i know the stage has at least 1 major over hall since then so im not sure if it still there.
That's pretty cool! It's hard not to know about Bob Barker. 😂 And he was a really good guy.

Yes, Truman for sure. I grew up in Grandview and was a band kid so we had to lead the Harry’s Hay Days parade each May. It was soooo long back then, about 4.5 miles. Not kidding!!! It always seemed to fall on prom day, too. So convenient! So we would rush from that, sweaty and exhausted to shower, and to hair appointments and then to our dates. Good memories now. 😂

Two current members of SNL are from Missouri; Heidi Gardner is from KC, they even did and SNL Worlds of Fun segment this year she wrote, And Chris Redd, who was born in St Louis and lived there to age 12. Taylor Momsen, who played CIndi Lou Who and is the lead singer of The Pretty Reckless, is from St Louis, and one of the biggest blues singers in the courtry right now, Samantha Fish, is from KC. as is Tech N9Ne.
