JP was a consummate winner and a great servant of SA Rugby. I'd put him up there with the absolute finest. Very enjoyable interview! Man, these interviews are such a blessing.
@@philipkoekemoer4705 Agreed but if it was Rassie he would have changed the game plan not to go for turnovers and we could have won who knows but our team was ace.
yeah n we would hav won last year if we kicked our goals we were better team in 2023. and would hav won in 1995 if u didnt food poison us; abs are far more skillful than boks.
Sour grapes . Face it mate , the Boks are the best rugby team in the world. We would of destroyed any international team in the 80’s too and could of won another two world cups back then .South African rugby in the 80’s was scary brilliant.
Strange video headline saying Springboks WOULD have beaten AllBlacks. Try word “could” I can now understand why so many South Africans are so arrogant. Perhaps NZL should start putting out vlogs on “The AllBlacks would have beaten the Springboks in 2023 final” Do you see how ridiculous this is? Stick with facts.
HI there, and thank you for your comment. I thought about what you said, and I can not agree with you. Any team COULD potentially beat any other team, but believing you WOULD have been able to beat them, is a different proposition. JP used the word "would", hence the quotation marks. The Springboks never got the chance to play against the All Blacks in that tournament, so we will never know! Definitely no arrogance on this channel by any stretch of the imagination!
@@megafoonsport NZL shows respect to all teams and never turns up to a match arrogantly believing they will win. They play every test with everything they have got and more. Running on to a field with little respect for your opposition is madness. NZL have beaten SA many times and have lost as well. NO match between these two nations is a guaranteed walkover. And you are a fool if you believe any other way.
I don't think any SA team has ever run onto a field against especially the All Blacks arrogantly thinking they will win. That is a gross generalisation. This interview was looking back to 13 years ago and JP simply said that he felt the Springbok team of that year would have beaten the All Black team of that year, had they been given the opportunity. Similarly, I am sure if you asked any All Black of that year, they would feel that THEY would have won against the Springboks. It is entirely subjective, as you would expect from an interview! This is not a documentary! As you said, no match is a guaranteed walkover, (especially between these two teams) and I am most certainly not a fool by any definition.

JP, my respect Brother, wish you the best.
I was in NZ for the world cup. The talk in NZ was that NZ only feared the boks.
If we only kicked a drop goal in the quarter we could have done it .
Who said that im a kiwi didn't hear it?.
We all know 2011 was the biggest robbery in RWC history.
Bryce Lawrence made sure Springboks lost
I was at the game, horrible.
Next day on NZ radio they were all saying we were robbed
2007 was a bigger robbery what goes around comes around 😂 plus NZ get carded more than anyone else what more do you need?

Western province was the warm up game and almost beat the Boks early May 1995…
Bokke❤
