Up to 2016, andesite, diorite and granite were all considered damaged stone, and if you convert farlands, you might see those block patches here and there. It is more the way they are placed that gives me suspicion.
it wouldn't make sense for stone to generate with damage values in older versions though, since there was only 1 stone variant generating naturally, so I don't see how the farlands should change the way stone generates.

Update for 2023: The search for the farlands is still ongoing. There's currently 2 players currently manually walking around the overworld at the coords where the farlands should've started to spawn but nothing has been discovered yet.
I think it does exist. Nuker and Fly hacks werent patched back then, so technically you could just fly through the nether with nuker and get to 12 mil within a couple hours. I think its likely that somebody did that.

@@edwardaugustus9680 Well, Fit claims he doesn't base, but who knows for sure. I mean it would be much safer and smarter to let everybody think he has no base.
I am a huge Farland fan, along with being a Farland explorer (using launch options to set my game to old_beta 1.7). Now while they have been removed, any world (even if it's multiplayer) that you've had since the time the Farlands existed, if you go to the coordinates that the Farlands existed in, you can notice some EXTREMELY minor bugs and chunk errors (personal experience). To explain how I know this, I'll tell you a small story. When I first heard about the Farlands I was curious, so I teleported to the coordinates they were at in current Minecraft then set launch options to old_beta 1.7, opened that same world, then explored the Farlands. Afterwards I got curious to see if I set it back to the current update, would the game think that those were COMPLETELY natural and spawn them in normally. Well, I found out by testing, no-ish. The no part is they don't fully render in current Minecraft, however if you keep a sharp keen eye out, you can notice some EXTREMELY minor and overlookable as a normal current Minecraft glitch. Sometimes you can get minor temporary stutters that look like the stutters you got in the Farlands and if you look around enough, you can notice some minor terrain glitches that look like Farland glitches. Now I could be COMPLETELY wrong about this and be mistaking current Minecraft bugs for reminiscence of the Farlands, but if I'm correct about this, then it is possible reminiscence of the Farlands exist at the coordinates on 2B2T, and if the Farland enthusiast has set up base where the Farlands used to generate, then it's most likely that he overlooked the possible glitches of the past considering that are VERY minor glitches when you notice them.
I love videos like this, it isn't face-paced whatsoever, not over-edited, not clickbait, and has facts behind the entire video. This video was extremely interesting! Love this video style that you and Antvenom have, great video!
I’ve never gone to 2b2t, but the Spawn Area is kinda terrifying. Many hundreds of players touched down there and devoured the landscape like a legion of rabid sandworms, leaving nothing but the very picture of desolation.
Regarding the second "evidence" screenshot: From my own experience with porting an older world to a newer version, Diorite, Andesite, and Granite can be retroactively generated into existing stone patches. But that may have also been due to mods I used, so perhaps that's not an argument here. The straight line color change in the water does seem odd though.
Your point about the granite/andesite/diorite is flawed. I've owned a server before and it was version 1.7 (not alpha or beta or anything like that). I built a structure out of stone, a few weeks later version 1.8 came out and I updated the server to that, and the stone structure had granite, andesite, and diorite in it. So I believe the screenshot at 8:33 is legit.

In defence of the screenshot at 7:55 I have seen edges of old chunks have new blocks I forget how exactly but I know that andesite and other blocks like trees and sand are a second stage generation thing this how you can get trees to spawn on a all sand forest time by pushing dirt into unloaded chunks
@@scottm2 well what I was saying is the if you lazy load new chunks it only loads the shape with grass , dirt , and stone and then when loaded in a new version it would load the previously lazy loaded chunks with new blocks inside like vains of blocks inside . Is this not true ?
@@tesseractturtle6078 No that's not how it works. When a chunk is generated it is saved to the disk as it is generated. When the chunk is loaded again it simply reloads the saved version of the chunk from the disk. It doesn't generate a new version of the chunk at all.
8:30 Just going by what I know about the game. The 3 stone variants would only be missing if the farlands were initially generated before they were added into the game. Secondly, the strange coloring on the water looks more like a graphical mipmap rendering issue than the color changes that come from biomes. Again, this is the first time I've seen this image, but I figured I give my input. Keep posting 2b2t stuff man!
The far lands would've had to be generated before the stone variations were added. The worldgen errors that were responsible for creating the far lands were removed long before stone variations.
When I started playing Minecraft around 2012 or so, the Far Lands were long gone, but I knew they existed thanks to the Minecraft Wiki and AntVenom's videos about them years back. Knowing the unpredictable nature of the 2b2t server though, chances are someone on the server found the Far Lands before they were removed from Minecraft entirely, and chances are that if someone found them after that point, they likely griefed them and they are no longer there. Granted it's nowhere near spawn, so if they WERE griefed, there would be evidence of it's griefing, so I wouldn't rule out their existence in 2b2t, but I say that if anyone wants to go exploring to find them, I say keep your expectations VERY low...
What about that guy that made "how to survive your first night in Minecraft" video? I know he doesn't play Minecraft anymore, but I think he'd be best because he was featured on the website.
man, i can just imagine a pair of young players probably brothers, doing exploits and stuff, playing hours and hours, just to make it to the farlands, getting that satisfaction feeling and celebrating when finally got there, now grown up, having almost forgotten that moment of glory. it's a weird feeling.
The stone in the 2nd image is possible. When the update with the stone variants were added. They shared the same item ID and some stone on my server changed. So that is possible

Jesus am I getting old..I was an avid player around this time. Never heard about the farlands though. Wish I would’ve!
I mean, I kinda miss the farlands they were like the "magic land." I have reached them ONCE. No, not by walking, but exploits I Loved it. XD
0:02 not anymore
In defence of the screenshot at 7:55 I have seen edges of old chunks have new blocks I forget how exactly but I know that andesite and other blocks like trees and sand are a second stage generation thing this how you can get trees to spawn on a all sand forest time by pushing dirt into unloaded chunks
That's not how world generation works
@@scottm2 well what I was saying is the if you lazy load new chunks it only loads the shape with grass , dirt , and stone and then when loaded in a new version it would load the previously lazy loaded chunks with new blocks inside like vains of blocks inside . Is this not true ?
@@tesseractturtle6078 No that's not how it works. When a chunk is generated it is saved to the disk as it is generated. When the chunk is loaded again it simply reloads the saved version of the chunk from the disk. It doesn't generate a new version of the chunk at all.
its too high aswell so thats another reason its fake
@@Nova_Astral no it's high on screen is lower than the clouds
Hey, did anyone else notice the ocean monument at ~0:22?

8:30 Just going by what I know about the game. The 3 stone variants would only be missing if the farlands were initially generated before they were added into the game. Secondly, the strange coloring on the water looks more like a graphical mipmap rendering issue than the color changes that come from biomes. Again, this is the first time I've seen this image, but I figured I give my input. Keep posting 2b2t stuff man!
The far lands would've had to be generated before the stone variations were added. The worldgen errors that were responsible for creating the far lands were removed long before stone variations.
Dude this is so soothing to watch ngl like it’s not useful information at all but like it massages my brain
Man I love your channel! Keep it up

2b2t?You mean,Minecraft's oldest anarchy Server?
Yes
@@T0NY_playsArchives ...
No, *THE OLDEST ANARCHY SERVER IN MINECRAFT*
No, It's The Youngest Anarchy Server In Minecraft.
Id like an update video on what he's learned since.
Wasn't some of the stone converted to andesite and Diorite when updating. It is possible it is not fake.

Best 2b2t yotuber. Definitely
except for when the bases he visit get destroyed days after he uploads a video

I got past the queue once and then kept getting killed.... id keep trying but the queue took over 3 hours and I can't be bothered waiting that long every time I go onto the Server.
