Not a 2B2T player, but I love the amount of history, culture, and the organizations 2B2T has developed through its lifespan. Whether it’s the Highway Union or the Old Nether Grass, it’s really fascinating to see how 2B2T essentially developed its own little world.
It's a shame that there's people out there who want to destroy perfectly good work that had lots of effort put into it. Why would people destroy such beautiful milestones?
I remember watching Fit’s journey to the world border series when a lot of the milestones were still pristine. Seeing the contrast years later is just another example of how interesting this server is.

I just love how good you are at story telling and narrating. I could fall asleep to a documentary narrated by you xD Really the only reason I watch these videos.
I wouldn’t recommend because I went there right before hausenaster patched entity speed and then we he removed it I was stuck there and I’m still stuck over 10 million blocks away and I made a base but I don’t want to leave it. Also I haven’t logged on in over a year.
While I don’t know if I’ll be able to get to it, ima try to repair the final milestone before the border. It looked amazing, and to see it destroyed sucks, even if it is on an anarchy server
Haven't been on 2b2t in many years (since about 1.6) and It's amazing to see a highway that stretches all the way to the end of the world. I remeber the old days of the Obsidian Highway project and the achievement of 50k blocks out. I haven't been able to get on the server because of the ammount of players. But it was nice to see how far the IIS was able to get and it's nice to see the HWU take over.
Damn, these actually feels like they are talking history in real life... I am now obsessed with 2b2t and it’s mysterious players and accomplishments and histories, for example those HWU and IIS they just shock me...
I feel the one of the best/most exciting parts of 2b2t is actually the community, there’s highway builders, map artists, normal players, builders, modders/hacked client makers, and the most exciting: *lore*

Like I just need to watch this single video to see Minecraft is so much more than just a game. You just see years of history everywhere on this server. People spening hundreds or thousands of hours of their lifes to build stuff in this world like the frickin slap valley or well the obsidian bridge. And really nice of you to show the before/after screenshots on your journey.
Seeing all the remaining of build and the signs of other travellers are like discovering the existence of an ancient civilization that lived here but disappeared long ago
I came back to this video just to see if anyone had traveled past the world border. My biggest regret as it stands is not going further, I'm really curious as to what's further on past the border portal room, but I'm scared of disappointment. That hole wasn't there when I was.
I have my primary base/stash up my 29 million blocks and it has stood for 4 years as a solo base that I don't stay to often at but Its where I go when my bases are destroyed so if you want something that is reasonably permanent it's the best way to hide a base especially when you don't go by it all the time
It's just wild that things that far out exist and someone had to build them and place the signs and do milestones, the history is the most interesting part here and I've never even played myself, it's truly interesting to just think about someone somewhere at least 6 years ago made it out there and who knows how long they went.
I really wanna see what's on the end of the highway now. I get that you probably don't have enough patience and dedication and that's perfectly respectable but if you ever wanna travel there to see what's up, I'd be psyched to see what you find.
Even all of this already forgotten since 2012, sometimes people always want to discover this old history. And it surely worth it seeing every history server.

It’s not a waste of time to go to the boarder, and it’s not about traveling to that destination It’s all about the journey You have noticed the old settlement to travel from the Obsidian bridge, some grass in the nether, and history of a chicken tree and all of the sign, and the obsidian portals with signs of it and a lot of abandon buildings. This Journey is like your traveling back in time with those people who are part of the journey. Some are failed, some achieved.

I would build way far out there and then deep underground. Leave buried treasures and then build signs pointing to clues.

About HWU: they recently extended the +X obsidian highway to 1M Nether. They plan to extend all highways to million.
