I never really knew knives until I started watching your videos. You convinced me of the utility and both first and second kinds of cool when it comes to knives. I am just a knife novice, but my collection is growing rapidly. Keep up the good work, and thank you for all that you do.

I live in California so you can't pull out a toothpick without someone getting all but hurt and acting like some crime is being committed. But I do daily carry two knives. One I seen on here and the other is a cold steel code4. I don't take the code4 out much in less I really have to. No need to have Johnny law called because I want to open a letter as i am walking into my house. Really it's happened. Freaking California. I moved here from Florida where everyone had guns hanging in there back windows. The last 12 years here have been interesting. Thanks for all the great information. Just found the channel and subbed.

That ZT is a stainless framelock, not titanium. That's why the weight is high. The upcoming 0562 is pretty much the same but in titanium, has a locking bar insert, and will be offered with CF scale. That will be an awesome knife.

I want to add something to people's consideration who think something made in Taiwan matters.
When I was a kid, everything said, "Made in Taiwan." Now everything says, "Made in China." I studied China for 3 years in college and lived in Taiwan from 2012 to 2013. Taiwan and China are not the same. The Taiwanese economy is also going through difficulties similar to ours because they also lost all their manufacturing jobs to mainland China and have had to shift to a service and quality goods economy like ours.
When I was in Taiwan, one of the little surprises were these mini-factories I would see in the first floor of apartment buildings or homes; my friends told me that there used to be many more such factories before the manufacturing jobs went to China.
Do not assume that "Made in Taiwan" means what it used to, or that it means the same thing as, "Made in China." If you want to buy, "Made in the USA" I understand perfectly, just know that the negative stereotype may or may not apply to Taiwanese products nowadays. Having met the people, I would be proud to buy a product made in Taiwan. I am not surprised Spyderco's Taiwan made knives are well executed and plan on getting one once I am out of Japan, the land of blades 6cm or less.

David Hynes I always try to buy American made products but if I can, if I can't then I will happily buy products from Taiwan because they have given the finger to China for decades.

Why only 8lb test in the prep cord? I would go with 12/14 at least so you could handle larger fish like small mouth and large mouth bass and not just panfish. Have to catch a lot of bluegill or perch for the same meal as one large mouth. Just sayin'

I bought the cf Osbourne mainly to just collect and I can not stop carrying it!!! I don't care that It's 250ish. It's worth it... The cf somehow gives me just a bit more grip than the aluminum version. this is my first experience with s90v and I must say. So far blown away, going on 3 month and it's still hair shaving sharp... Haven't even ran it on the strop yet... It has replaced my manix light weight, my knockout, and my zt. Seriously blown away.

Hey Nutn, do you think you could work up some kind of traction gauge to give us online buyers a better idea of how well these knives grip? We don't always get to hold them before we drop the hammer.
Something as simple as a traction pad on a pivot. Increasing the angle till the traction is broken. Just to give us a direct number to compare the materials and textures. Like you showed in this review (Visonary II vs Zancudo) and many others, texture plays just as big of a role in traction as the material.
LOVE that Stingray btw.....would not be able to put it down.

He has, it was back when they were still under the RAT Cutlery brand, I may not be right on the specifics, but they split into two companies, due to design differences. So Rat Cutlery became ESEE and Ontario RAT. Nutn reviewed the RC3,RC4, RAT 3 and RAT 7. The RC knives are still available under the brand ESEE, the RAT's are Ontario's. TBH they are pretty much the same, except Ontario do not have ESEE's lifetime warranty. Hope that clears it up.

MrGnarman Nearly all SOG's knives use AUS-8 steel with a Cryo treatment so he was assuming it followed the trend without looking at the blade that closely. He said 9.5 out of 10. I wonder if it'd be a 10 if he realized it was VG-10.

I feel like a knife diabetic, and I just got a huge dose of metal insulin. Love that you did this, Nutn. It gives the folks that don't have access to the store some great exposure to knives they wouldn't see or maybe wouldn't even consider. Myself, I was actually impressed with some Boker and Benchmade offerings for once, and I was really drawn to the smaller, independent knife maker's knives. I think Kershaw, although they've got this new Blackwash thing going, is still in a 2- to 3-year rut, where every knife sort of looks the same, and there's just no imagination or spark, or even novelty (I did like the wave feature though). And I'm not necessarily a Kershaw basher; I own several of their knives. I just haven't bought any of their blades in at least 2 years. Interesting to hear you comment on the ESEE Zancudo. I took a chance on it, and all I can say is, make sure you get your favorite color, and save a place on your desk for it, because opening letters is what it's best suited for. 4/10 for me, and that's being magnanimous.

I've always have taken issue with spydercos pricing on over seas produced knives. If Im spending 150 plus on a pocket knife I want it supporting American jobs. At those prices they can do it. So why don't they? Profits pure and simple. And carbon fiber laminate? Lame. I still purchase from them I just take it into consideration.

Its neat seeing the actual store. I am an online shopper. BHQ has shipped enough steel to Richmond lately to sink it. I opted for the Fire Cord over the prep cord. I try to combine a fire steel along with Fire Cord for lashing with all my knives. I couldn't catch a fish with a rod nor reel so the line won't be of assist to me. But, I can spark you up a fire in the pinch.

Good video. Lots of cool shit.
I'm holding out on buying a new knife until the next batch of SOCOM Delta's hit, by Microtech. I've been EDC'ing this Delta Tanto point for a few months now. I love it so much I'm going to drop another 250 for a clip point version... when they come out again!

The Attleboro does have a Chris Reeve feel to it and inspirations because the designer used to be one of lead guys a CRK.
