- Me and My friend have Apple Watch Series 6 & SE so we are try doing walkie talkie with each other but it doesn’t work. After lot of research we finally found out how to fix invite not working problem on walkie talkie on Our Apple Watch. So In this video we will Show you how you can fix Apple Watch Walkie-Talkie NOT Working issues.
Though this video purpose we use Apple Watch Series 6 & SE, But This Process Perfectly works on Apple Watch Series 5,4,3,2.

honestly i've never been so frustrated with a feature
This shit piss me off
For the people where the solutions didnt work, i was one of you. Till i combined some solutions that made it work. First delete the friend request you have at the moment in the walkietalkie app. Link your apple id to ur facetime. Then turn off your facetime. After this, delete facetime and restart the watches and phones. After you restarted the 4 devices, install facetime and turn it on in the settings app. Try to sent the request now and it really worked for me finally. Ive almost gave up because each video didnt work for me. I hope this may help for the ones where the videos dont work!

I got it! It’s all about label in the write way in the app contacts. Label “iPhone” in the number of the Apple Watch owner that you want to invite, and in the mail label put “iCloud” and write the Apple ID mail of the one that you want to invite… restart watch and iPhone and that’s it. Do this in both iPhones.

I fixed my problem by going into settings/FaceTime/ scroll to caller ID and make sure your phone number is selected and not your Apple ID hope this helps!👍🏾💯

Serenity J Bro, You need to turn on notification from the App, WhatsApp>Settings>notification> turn on all the options. If it does not fix the issue, delete the App, Give your iPhone an All Settings reset, Reconnect it to internet, Sign in, Allow when you get the pop up for notification.😊

I tried everything, but nothing worked until I UPDATED the OS software on my iPhone. You might want to give this a try.
So when using mine, it will not let me do the press and hold. I have to tap > release > talk > then press to stop. How can I fix it to do the press to talk then release to stop?
You just go to settings and go to accessibility, then walkie talkie and press it

Khadari Basha bro, Apple Watch Has the Walkie Talkie app built in, make sure your Apple Watch is updated to latest WatchOS, then make sure you have setup Facetime in your iPhone. Now find the yellow walkie talkie icon in the App list of your Apple Watch. It should start working.😊
I’ve continued to suffer this problem, after getting a new Apple Watch (replacement) it stopped working again. I factory reset my wife’s phone, my phone and both watches and it worked. Remember the issue might not be your watch!

Adam Garcia bro, Yes, it I basically a audio version for FaceTime. You will need to make sure you have setup FaceTime with Apple ID in the connected iPhone, before you can use Walkie-Talkie on Apple Watch😇
You need to make sure that both parties only have 1 Apple Watch saved on their iCloud. This is what the issue was for me. Once the old Apple Watch account was removed, it worked!

I went apple store and tried all of this, even called a senior apple worker and after everything it still doesn’t work😢
My walkie talkie works but after talking for a bit the circle turns dark and you can’t press it anymore. It goes away after a few seconds it few minutes, but do you think you have a solution to this? And does anyone else have this problem?

I did everything beforehand and I’m still only seeing the add contacts. It doesn’t let me go back or past this step. I try to add my grandma and she has invited me but it tells me that she’s unavailable when she has done all the of the steps too. Super lost. Any advice would be great thank you!

what worked for me: edit your friends phone number category to iPhone and email address to iCloud then restart both phone and watch. then try to add them again.
make sure to delete the request you sent before doing this and before restarting.

I tried everything and it didn’t works until I spoke to Apple…. UPDATE YOUR IOS. Mine was a minor update 9.0.0 to 9.0.3 so I didn’t bother until speaking to Apple. I feel silly for not doing this now. 9.0.0 has a bug specific to this!!

Hi Abiel Lachapel, In order to use Walkie talkie on Apple Watch, both connected devices need to activate FaceTime, and while using Walkie-talkie you won’t be able to use FaceTime on iPhone. 🙂
