- The Apple Watch Series 4 has a glass screen. And glass.. you know... can break. Especially when you're doin' active people things like closing your circles. HUGE thanks to my buddies over at www.Fixdirepair.com for helping with this Glass only Apple watch repair. Check them out if your watch is broken, (cuz I'm definitely not going to do it again.) Attempting a glass only Apple Watch repair is probably the hardest 'cell phone' repair there is. And I highly recommended not doing it. The most difficult parts of replacing the screen on an apple watch is making sure not to damage the... well... everything. The force touch ring between the glass and the metal body, then the touch sensitive layer right under the glass, and the display right under the touch sensitive layer... The Apple Smart Watch is a fragile sandwich of complexity. Good luck.

Bought a cracked series 4 for $100 (cad) and used your video to help me open it up.
It was my first time attempting something like this and I did it!
Now I just need to wait for the replacement glass to arrive.

ItzCryssie I was able to do it successfully! since I’ve made over $3000 doing it. I broke a couple of digitizers but it only costs $10 more to get a screen with a digitizer.
I also recently went bigger and successfully took off the glass from an iPhone 12, if everything goes well I could make $400! All this is thanks to this one video.
ItzCryssie Also if you want to make sure you don’t break the screen and there aren’t any local repair shops doing this repair I could do it for you.

KRUSTY KRABBY incredibly ignorant. The reason why this is so difficult is because he's separating a glass from both the digitizer and the force touch sensors itself. This repair is incredibly difficult no matter who makes the device- separating a glass from the touch interface and lcd that is.
Source: s8+ plus I'm refurbishing had its display break when someone tried doing the same exact kind of repair

The level of satisfaction attained from watching this repairment overshadows the one in a teardown video.
My vacuum hotplate has just been sitting gathering dust for YEARS. Thank God for this video.
UPDATE: It took me 2 hours to get the screen completely free of dust particles, and so far so good, everything works 🎉
I just tried this on a 4th series, the bad part is thst I broke the really thin glass layer on top of the digitizer, the good part is that i've removed the digitizer and the display is still in one piece, hahah. Now it's waiting time for the new part to arrive. Very informative video btw!
