My wife's 2012 CR-V is at 195,000 miles with the original spark plugs. Scotty had said that Iridium plugs last for 200,000 miles, so I guess he was right. That said, I'm going to replace the plugs soon. Thanks for this video on how to do it.
Joe sus videos me han ayudado muchísimo en diferentes trabajos con mi CRV 2013, aunque tiene algunas diferencias con la versión de Estados Unidos. Saludos del Puerto de Veracruz, México.
My brief research shows a different number. You should pull out one original plug to see the part number on it and buy that exact part number to replace them.
They didn’t say “pre-gapped”, but I did carefully check them before installation and they were already correct. I’m not sure if all Iridums are pre-gapped or not.
Very good video ! My 2013 CRV has 86,000 miles. In the past I used to take out the spark plugs out . Clean them with a wire bruh. set the gap. install . Once a year. Looks like don't need to that with these cars. Pretty Cool !!! My Honda lawn mower the service manual says to do this to the spark plug every year .
I just put some iridiums in my 2008 Honda Fit. They were supposed to be pre-gapped (according to PartSource). 2 were correct. The other 2 needed a little adjustment. I had no idea how, so I watched this video: ruclips.net/video/IuW3svdqKZM/видео.html
Did you torque those? I’ve always just tightened them gently past hand tightness, maybe a 1/4 inch but I know Hondas are fussy sometimes. Let me know. Thanjs
Sorry for the delayed response. I’m finding that I’m not getting all my notifications. I did not notice any change in MPG, but spark plugs can affect it. If your engine look like mine you have the 2.4L. If your Honda is older or newer there are other options.

I’ve had other vehicles with Iridum plugs that develop drive ability problems from deteriorated plugs around 120K.
That tan color on the spark plug you showed indicated that the cylinder is burning perfectly. One can tell a lot by looking at the old plugs.
Awesome. Thank you.
He wasted money!

Well done. 2 Qs: I have always gapped plugs. Not necessary now?, Torque for tightening plugs?
Gapping the plugs before installation is still best. I did not find the spark plug torque rating.
@@JoesCarSmartsNY Those model plugs come gaped to spec when made.
@@JoesCarSmartsNY sparkplug torque is 18-20ft, and you should use antiseize, also becareful when buy sparkplug there are alot fake ngk out there...
@@huskyng6981 Thanks. As for the fake parts like this I always buy these from a reputable supplier like Rockauto.com or locally at my AutoZone.
Very helpful video . Great job ! Can you video how to replace EGR valve too ?
Thank you Sir! Please keep making more videos 👍🙂
Thanks for the video Joe! Cheers!
Is that spark plug compatible with my 2015 CRV 2.4 K24Z..... engine? Thanks

Great vid! Did you have to check the gap in the plugs prior to installing the new ones?

I don’t torque them. I tighten them until they make contact, then maybe 1/4 - 1/2 turn.
Got it. Thanks bud!!
You da man...thanks!!
Great video! Thx
Ty...😊
Great video u remind me of my father the same exist way he does his
Might want to gap them 0.039-0.043 inch
They are supposed to be pre-gapped in the box, but i have found them to be wrong about half the time. I always check.
Might want to know what you're talking about before commenting.
Gracias seedilicious, éste dato lo estuve buscando en el manual y en Internet sin resultados hasta que vi su comentario 👍

Have a question, was shopping at Amazon Denso sxu22hcr115 -3461 but when I pick up this ones, system said they not fit my 2013 crv Do you know way?
What engine is in your CR-V?
Do the ngks have to be gapped certain distance?
Yes. I think the gap is on a sticker under the hood?
