Iv been wondering the same thing because i have an 09 wrx and im throwing a p0011. I need to get to that banjo bolt and all the forums say to take the intercooler off, the turbo off, and all this other stuff. This guy makes it look easy as hell. Im womdering if i can just take the screen out and just leave it out. Its incredibly annoying to think that i have to remove the freaking turbo just To remove one damn bolt.
Electro Evolution hey man I just found out that you can AND it’s actually better with no ill affects taking the filter off! The p0011 is actually from the your turbo not getting enough oil
@@TheCarBro whereeeee on earth did you find this information??? Can you provide links please?? If thats the case, than ill be an extremely happy camper.
Don't forget to prime the turbo. There's a section on the new line that has no oil in it, you wouldn't wanna starve your turbo bearings even for a couple of seconds while oil pressure builds and flow through the teflon lines.
unnecessary. The line fills near instantly and the residual oil is more than enough for lubrication during startup. There's very very little load on the bearings and practically no thrust.
Hello I have a question, I just installed your non acvs oil feed line kit onto my 2004 WRX and it works great and perfect. However when I installed my new VF39 turbo to replace my TD04 the vf39 smoked really bad and I'm curious if it could be from the larger banjo bolts over feeding the VF39 turbo?
Not likely. Was the VF39 you installed new or used? Note: *Our kits are not designed to work with ball bearing turbocharges. It is recommended to use the turbocharger manufacturer's supplied oil line and fittings for these types of turbos.
Your Forester may require our non-AVCS kit regardless of the vehicle being AVCS or not. I would need to see a picture of the factory hard line going into the turbo. The rule of thumb is that if your factory hard line has a 17mm break point between the turbocharger and the back of the cylinder head, then you need our AVCS kit. If you have a shorter solid line that goes from the turbo to the cylinder head with no break point in between, then you need our non-AVCS kit.
We remove the screen because they have been known to clog up. When they become clogged the resulting lack of oil flow can in some cases cause AVCS to not work properly and/or cause premature turbocharger failure.
Not really good camera view what about the banjo in the middle of the head? Did u use a cap on that? To eleminate the old style
Does the oil feed line *need* to have a filter in that banjo bolt with a hole ?

Is it okay if I take off the bracket with the 2 14mm bolts and not put it back

On a 2004 fxt this line is in a different place. Will this work for it as well?

Just curious, the "cap" you put on after detaching the line, it is okay for it to be like that right?
+Marcel Mitzel - Please be more specific.
Yes. You are blocking the oil to that part of the line. It will not affect any other part of the system by blocking this off.
will removing the screens affectanything?
We remove the screen because they have been known to clog up. When they become clogged the resulting lack of oil flow can in some cases cause AVCS to not work properly and/or cause premature turbocharger failure.
The avcs filter is not nessecary for a rally car.
