As much as I love watching your videos, I'm on board, you need to make time for you and your family! Take the whole weekend off moving forward. Your fans would rather have a energized Laura then a burned out Laura. We love you, girl!
I'd be for this! Then Laura would look like the majority of us out in our yards. Oh, who am I kidding? She'd still somehow look amazingly put together!!!😅
32:20, guilty. 🙋🏼♂️ I was headed to Andrews for a landscape class, and almost literally ran into you Laura. You were so kind, pointed me in the right direction, but I'm sure I just made clicks and pops and no actual words came out. The class was amazing, I learned a ton.. on a side note. 👍🏻
Here’s a vote for the vlog in a ponytail 😂🤣 (TBH I don’t really care how you wear your hair, you do you girl!). But if you do it, I’ll bring the popcorn as I read the comment section. Lol! congrats in advance! 1 million subscribers is amazing, and you are so close! It’s been so great to see your channel evolve over the last 3 years that I’ve been watching. I’ve learned so much and my garden thanks you. During this pandemic I’ve started my day with your videos and my garden is all the better for it. I’ve loved it. Thanks for all you and Aaron do :)
I love the idea of a piano recital, 💕 if Laura is comfortable with it (no pony tail needed, Laura ;) I wish I had an idea of something we could do FOR Laura and her family - a celebration of their achievements of some kind.
I’ve had great success wintering over purple fountain grasses. They are annuals where I live, high desert zone 6. In the fall, I cut them down to about 12 inches. Then, I dig one or two up. I separate each one into 20 or so plugs and plant them in cell trays (larger ones, like 24 per tray) and put them under grow lights in my cool basement. I water them about every week just keeping them barely alive. By the time spring rolls around, I harden them off and plant them in large scale in pots and in the landscape. They get to be the same size as plants I’ve bought from the nursery. Easy peasy!
@@allysonh6410, "hardening off" is the process of acclimating a plant from the indoors to the outdoors. Generally, you set the plant in the shade for a few hours for a few days, increasing the time outdoors, as well as sun exposure, if it's a sun plant, over the course of a couple or several weeks. In the end your plant has "hardened off" well enough to stay outdoors permanently. 😊
Aaron's comment is 100% right! You have inspired me to "just go for it!" I've realized many of my friends don't have plants because they're afraid of failing and the guilt that goes with killing a plant. You have inspired me to just do it! You can always move a plant if you don't put it in the right spot, if it dies, learn from it, and just have fun and don't overthink your projects! Thank you! And Aaron was paying you a compliment. Many people don't like failure and you embrace it or fix it! Kudos to you and him and THANK YOU. My garden is my happy place and I never thought I could be so successful and happy in the dirt!
I totally fangirl'd out when we met Laura and Aaron (AND Jack Barnwell) last year at the Proven Winners event at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI. I've never acted like that before, and because my husband is a musician, we have met many famous celebrities over the years. Maybe I was blushing and nervous because I'm a Master Gardener and religiously watch Garden Answer videos. That makes me somehow feel connected to them, but that couple is so approachable, friendly, and refreshingly sweet and personable. My husband talked with Aaron about the music programs he uses & his video editing techniques and equipment while I was talking with Laura; but they were both really busy, so our conversations were brief but thrilling! We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary while at The Grand Hotel, and it was an experience that we will always remember, and so much more satisfying than taking the cliched trip to Hawaii. {We bought Jack's coffee table book and he signed it with a really nice personal message.}
I just wanted to encourage you to keep the no-new videos for Sundays schedule. Your video content is so rich and informative that watching re-runs would be great for that day! We all need to slow down a bit and find rest in ways that build those relationships that we treasure! Blessings!
Thanks Laura and Aaron for the lovely 2:30 am surprise! Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians! Even though it will be low key, let's give thanks for this beautiful country we call home.
You're willing to fail and you don't let it slow you down, so you don't mind experimenting. I think Aaron meant it as an admirable thing, where most people would let fear of failure stop them
I think telling someone, "you'll fail four times and succeed on the fifth, before someone else has even tried once for fear of failing," (paraphrasing) is just about the best complaint ever 😊
There are 2 types of people: “Ready...aim...fire” types like Aaron and the Laura types who are more “Ready...fire...aim” Its good to have one of each in a marriage 🙂
I believe in a 5 day week...balance family, work and Fun is essential for mind and body Happiness 😍 Tho you love your work as I do we need to take time to “smell the roses” or enjoy the fruits of your labor 😉
I know the chances of you seeing this comment isn't likely because we all love you and want to comment, BUT in the event that you do see it, I wanted to thank you and Aaron for being an inspiration to me. I have wanted to share my love for gardening and home projects for so long, but I was so nervous and so excited because of you. . I just started my channel not too long ago, and boy oh boy do I have a HUGE appreciation of the time and work that goes into creating videos, so you more than deserve to take a day and enjoy the fruits of your labor. I can't wait to see future projects and to continue to grow my channel like you have these last several years. Thank you again Laura, Aaron, and little Benjamin. 😍😍😍
You two spoil us with so much content! There was a video posted I think to this channel a while back, a rainy day garden tour, it was so peaceful and relaxing and wonderful. I would love love love to see more videos like that. Thank you for putting so much care into into your channel and garden; it’s a wonderful respite.
Yes, we have that as well (2 cats, chipped) and it works perfectly! No other animals (also no other chipped cats) get in and you can also set a timer for the door. For example: let it open from one direction so the cats can come in in the evening but after 8 p.m. they can not go out anymore til 5 a.m. . The chip comes in also very handy when a cat gets lost because the number is unique (worldwide!) and every vet usually has a chip reader. So it makes it quite easy to identify to whom the cat belongs to. :) Additional note: No surgery is needed for that. It will be done with an injection in the neck/shoulder part and it will not irritate the cats in the future because the chip is really small.
Wonderful information in this video! I love how humble and grateful y’all are, Laura & Aaron, on the success of your channel and all of the people you’ve helped by doing this. Just think, a million subscribers...that means so many more have seen your videos, so you’ve helped millions of people! Especially during this pandemic, I know from the comments that your videos have been a great comfort to so many, as well as a source of inspiration. It’s wonderful for us “old” followers to see your channel grow and reach so many! Much love and many blessings to you and your sweet family! 💚♥️🌿🌺
When you were talking about your sleep habits, it reminded me of Buddy the Elf when he says, "Yes! I got a full 40 minutes!" You have so much energy and you amaze me!
I'm from NH and about two years ago I stopped into Laura's parents' garden center (I was so mad I couldn't buy everything and lug it home). I was hoping I'd bump into Laura but unfortunately I didn't. I was able to buy a Garden Answer tshirt and I met her mom, who was a total doll, although I didn't even realize it was her mom until I saw her make a cameo in one of Laura's videos. Hopefully I'll be able to visit again in the future. I loved it there. There was such a welcoming feel to it!
So thinking I could be tough like Laura, I tried to garden this week in my Midwest garden with my hair down. I made it ten minutes! As I peeled my sopping hair off my neck and put in in a ponytail, I thought, "What would life be like without humidity?!" Even still, it has to get hot out there! Props to you, Laura! (Having my hair down did help with the bugs by the way.) Love both channels!!!
While humidity can certainly be awful it does keep our skin nice. Places like Las Vegas with such low humidity, require you to be more diligent about keeping your face hydrated.
I garden in Memphis, zone 7B. If I tried to wear any type of make-up while gardening, it would be a nightmare! You're constantly wiping the sweat off your brow, because if it gets in your eyes, heaven help ya!!! LOL
I live in AZ where we don't get snow. So we garden in the winter too... I even put my hair up when out in the garden in the winter. Otherwise it blows in my face & gets in the way... I don't know how she does it.
After I had my son I developed insomnia and restless body as well. It took me 12 years to figure out that I had developed celiac, from the birth of my child, and it had also caused me to become extremely intolerant of caffeine. 😭 After a year off of caffeine (that was 3 years ago) I was able to finally sleep through the night (I have a cat that gets in my face too 🙃). I do occasionally have caffeine and the insomnia instantly comes back. I have also suffered from extreme Steven King like nightmares since I was a child and those went away when I gave up caffeine. That was a nice bonus! Makes me wonder what problems we all have that might also be food related!
I struggled with having puppies when my kids were younger, so we adopted an older dog, and she fit RIGHT in...we have had Misty almost 6 years now, and she loves to lay in the sun and watch me work in the garden!
Fan girl: my son was trying to explain to me about how he would love to meet his Minecraft friend in real life - so he gave me the analogy of ‘how would you feel if you could meet Laura in real life mum’. Made me chuckle!
I might LEGIT DIE if you do a ponytail and shorts for a whole video!! So happy for you guys you all deserve this success so much! We appreciate all the knowledge you both provide us with.
I did a rock retaining wall when I was younger. Our driveway sloped down to the garage. (SLC Ut.) when it rained dirt would flow down into the garage. So, I went up the canyon, harvested my own rock, and built the wall. It was so difficult but when I moved to St. George, it was still beautiful and very sturdy. (30 years ago.) I must have done a great job!!! I totally love a rock wall, wish I had one now.... to old to go harvest rocks, lift, arrange, etc.
I loved the conversation about researching and just 'doing' but perhaps failing. I have loved the fact that you are fearless, undaunted, and always move forward Laura! That has been so inspiring for me - in the past I've spent too much time researching...I think now I've struck a better balance in my own garden since watching your videos. Still respect the research, but with a more undaunted approach.
7:36....😂😂😂😂 I see so many comments or questions about your hair/clothing. Living in the South, I understand their concern but your commentary on this just made me spit out my coffee. I absolutely love your channel!!!!
Those 3 junipers on your parents farm just send me! They are my favorite thing there. So majestic. I could look at that view for the rest of my life, it's stunning.
Thanks for another informative Q&A. Love your “get ‘er done” attitude. I research, “the research” and never accomplish much. One million subs needs piano recital.🌲🌿
Oh my goodness! I’ve seen you at the Garden Center many times! I’m so glad I never went fan girl on you!!! I’d die of embarrassment!! Lol! You are so sweet to enjoy it when it happens! I can understand it though , especially when folks have traveled from out of our area.
Woman! Let me tell you, I would embarrass you AND myself if I ever saw you in public! I’d be all “ohhhh, it’s so good to see you! Let’s go get some lunch!” because best frands! It’s one-sided, but still...
I’ve dealt with fibromyalgia for a decade. A big issue I deal with with the fibromyalgia is insomnia. I wake up a lot in the middle of the night for no reason and am just awake. Hope you can find something to help you out.
I live in the South. I've heard you say you've not been to the South. You should come visit. Your gardening style looks so much like the beautiful gardens we have in Charleston and Savannah, and New Orleans. You'd love it! Thank you for all the great videos!!!
I’m not totally sure what fan girl means but if I saw you in public I think I’d start crying tear of joy! You’ve provided me with so much knowledge, inspiration, peace and healing.
CE4ME , sleep hygiene really matters- no screen time or work 2 hours before sleep, no caffeine or sugar. Also when one is a mother I think our radar is always on. I think with all the projects going I do not think Laura can rest her mind!
When my legs are restless I drink a bunch of water because it's usually dehydration, especially in this heat. We lose so much water through our skin and don't compensate by drinking more. Same thing can happen in the winter with the dry indoor heat, especially with the elderly. We get a lot of people through our ER with leg cramps (restless legs can be a precursor for that) because they are so dehydrated and don't even realize it. Also for me when I take calcium or eat foods that are high in calcium it helps with the restless legs. Too much magnesium has given me cramps and restless legs in the past. You just have to experiment I guess.
Hi Laura and Aaron! This was another great Q&A! Like others, I missed the felco giveaway, too, because I rarely look at Facebook, too busy watching RUclips. LOL! Thank you for sharing and can't wait for you to hit 1M! Also, would love to hear you play the piano and sing, if you do that!
I’ve been following you since 2015ish... and I remember going to Andrews in 2016 and you were still working there... I was with a coworker and we were in Ontario for work from Boise.. we work for a bank ( that you happen to have had in common) and I totally fangirled and my coworker totally made fun of me. Kick myself because I cannot find the picture we took for the life of me!!
Aaron is exactly right!! One thing I love about Laura is that she’s a great practice learner. I feared so much in gardening, then I watched her learning & it clicked: try!! Be brave!! So much more joy!
Laura and Aaron you have helped me so much with my yard and pool area. I’ve learned a ton from you both. I think I might know more about gardening than my mom now-ha! I started watching about a year ago, and am now going back and watching the old videos. I joke with people when they ask about something in my garden ‘well my friend Laura says...’. Lol. This year with the Covid situation gardening has kept me sane. i am working from home full time this summer and able to take better care of my plants and flowers. I dread to see it next year when back in the office. I am in the Chicago burbs which is zone 5, however you can cut the humidity with a knife! It’s awful. I’ll try to keep my hair down and it’s soaked in 5 mins, and up in a ponytail it goes! My teen daughter acts like I’m a crazy flower lady, but I’m hoping she is soaking up info whether she admits to it or not, and will use it later In Life when she has her own space. One thing I’d like to try is a drip system. But being in a typical suburban house with two water spigots I don’t know where to begin. Any tips there to get started would be awesome! Thanks for all you and your adorable family do.
Ah yes, I get that restless tingly feeling in the night too. All over my body. It’s still classed as restless leg syndrome. You know what weirdly helps 90% of the time?! White noise! I’m like a baby 🤣. But it really does combat that restlessness in my body! I loop a seamless rain soundtrack on Spotify every night and it’s now virtually eliminated the problem.
Same! I play a 10hr soft rain video on youtube. It has a black screen through the whole video and me and my husband both sleep great with it on. A good deep restful sleep.
I would TOTALLY fangirl if I ever saw Laura in public! My husband is probably so tired of hearing me say, "Laura, from Garden Answer said/did/planted...." 😂
I love the rusticness of your fence, posts, watering tanks and now the high tunnel. It's a real working space. Can't wait to watch the plants grow. 👍🏻🌻🌼🌸🌺🌽🍓🍉🎃
About Russel - we live in rural countryside in Wales, United Kingdom and we have installed a microchip cat flap so that it scans our cats and let them come and go as they want, through the night, but it remains locked and does not let the foxes, other cats or other night creatures into the house. It might save you getting up to let Russel in and out xxxx Big fan xxxx
I wanted to thank you for mentioning in one of your highlights videos that you had received some great organic soaps from Nefertiti's Royal Soapery. I ordered some and love them!! She sent a freebie called Irish Spring that is so fresh smelling. I took a shower as soon as they arrived. Ha. Who would have figured that by watching your garden channel that I'd find a great organic soap site online! Win-win. Thanks. Great videos Laura and Aaron!
I'm so glad you are slowing down on the amount of videos you are doing. As much as I LOVE what you do, and I feel like you putting out a lot of videos is almost like a service to help people in these troubled times, I couldn't help but worry a bit about the time and energy it took to do so many videos in one week. If it makes it easier to put out videos, I don't need a new project all of the time. I would love five to ten minute videos where you give updates on every plant in a smaller area. During garden tours I see plants I am interested in hearing about that are passed by as you go on to other areas. Or, if it works better, it would be great to get updates on several plants that are in their prime, but are in different areas. You could just cut from one plant to the next. Whatever you do, I'm sure you will find the perfect balance for your family. Please know that I am a very loyal viewer no matter how many videos you do a week. 💕🌳🌸🌲🌼🌳
Ah, ha! Sounds like ADHD to me! Even though I'm 60 now, I have the same drive to "do" in the garden as you do, and have a hard time stopping, and I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was around your age. Makes perfect sense. :-) Oh, and I live in Central FL, and as for humidity, and how I stand it: as the sweat is rolling off me in the first 2 minutes I'm outside, I just say to myself "this is cleaning out my pores!", or "it's so good for my skin, hair, and nails...I'll look younger longer!" hahaaa
Funny story. In my walks around the neighborhood i see a house with a great garden. I notice plants that i now know their name because of you. I stopped the other day to chat about her garden and tell her about your channel. She is a subscriber!! So I'm making friends in the neighborhood because of you!
The more time you can find to take off and slow down, relax and maybe even enjoy the pool - go for it. Y’all work extremely hard all the time. Good for you to take Sunday off and enjoy family time, reading a book or just having a nap is great. 💜☀️🐾🦋🦜🐝🍅🥒🌿🌸🍓💜
It's been raining like crazy up here in Canada too. It's not typical for us either. Less cars on the roads for a while and mother nature is trying to clean up while she can? I don't know. But it sure is refreshing. Love you guys.
Always enjoy the videos! I've done gardening a lot of years and watching your videos I have learned a lot more from you Laura! I wish it was 55 her in Pennsylvania we have been dealing with heat and humid for days I dont mind heat but that humidity plays you out!
Benjamin is growing so fast you would not want to have any regrets ! So take more time with family . Thanks to you and Aaron for keeping us all going during this pandemic ! I learned so much in the last few months . My pansies I ordered at the start of spring are still going strong ! It must be a good sign! However in the meantime I have created 3 more garden rooms due to your influence! And I especially source out the Proven Winners plants where they are available. Love from Canada 🇨🇦
You are right to be scared of skunks coming in thru the cat door. I have a friend who spent Thanksgiving at a Chinese restaurant because there was a skunk asleep in their living room. LOL!! :-)
Hi Laura & Aaron, I live in Queensland Australia. Love watching u guys and your projects. I've learnt a lot thanks to u both. Keep up the great video's.🌹🥀🌺🌼🌷👍
I live in QLD too. I'm finding it funny that I'm planting some of the same things right now even though it is winter here...and as perennials instead of annuals like they have to. I do like to go back and rewatch some of the videos out of season so they match our season and see what I need to do here in my garden. :) Always have such great ideas and information even if I have to find different companies/products to match. Thanks so much Laura and Aaron.
I believe there are RFID chipped cat doors that allows animals with the corresponding chips in but not others. They might be worth looking into if it'll allow you some peace from Russell doing cat things.
There are also cat collars with a chip the cat door responds to. But Russel is an outdoor kitty and they offen don‘t like collars of get themselves in danger by entangling themselves or getting stuck. So an implanted chip would be the better option 😊👍🏻
For 1M subscribers, you and Aaron need to go on a weekend away! You both worked so hard for this. Maybe one of those luxury tree houses - they look so fun! Bring takeout from your favorite restaurant!
I would totally fan girl if I saw you! We just went to the coast on vacation and when I found out we were stopping in Ontario I demanded we go to the garden center before we left. Then coming back we came back on the road where the church is and I was so excited to have seen it! Totally FAN GIRL! My husband always teases me with (hey guys) and (supertunia)😊😍
So fun. Wow I’m praying for y’all to hit the 1 mil mark! How amazing is that? I can’t even wrap my head around a video channel about gardening having those high numbers. God is so good. Great video today. I love these weekly reviews. Be safe.👏🏻💕👏🏻
Laura...you always look so cool and together with all that work you do in the gardens. You do work hard! I'm always sweating, with beads of sweat dripping down my face...lol. Your projects are large, with the stakes installed..plus all the dahlias planted. You and Aaron work well together.
I planted supertunia vistas in pots I can only describe as homemade aqua-pots. Five weeks later, they are huge. I only planted three 4" pots per large container. I followed your weekly fertilizer plan. Thank you!
Laura, I have a kitty door in my patio door which I leave open most of the summer. Last summer I came out of the bathroom one day to find a skunk with its face in the cats' food dish which was right near the door. So good for you opting not to put in a cat door. (I did manage to get the skunk to leave without spraying, but I almost had a heart attack when I first saw it.) By the way I haven't had any success with wintering over purple fountain grass either. I'm in the Idaho panhandle, zone 6b.
I was wondering when y'all were gonna post this video!! It's my favorite one of them all! I don't have time to watch tonight (it's 2:45am 😬😁😂) but rest assured I will tomorrow/today. Love you guys!
We have purple fountain grass that has become perennial. It does die off in the cold-ish winter, but regrows from the ground in the spring after I cut the dry grass back . They come back full, big and beautiful. They might be a bit bigger than the tag indicates, but nothing huge. I think if the base of grass is mulched well, it should be doable for more. We are in zone 9, San Antonio. Thanks! Vicki
Bored... I think the new property fixed that for a while😀 Loving watching your cut flower garden come to life. I have started my own this year as a trial run for future business opportunities.🤞 Glad to know you don't mind the fan approach. If I ever get over west again I'll be on the look out for you!🌟🌹🌾👋
I can't wait to see if you plant any trees and bits and pieces on the new land (a part from the fruit trees mentioned previously) - Its so open, I feel like it needs some shade
I have rewatched many of your videos as I recover from another back surgery. A Christian Grandma’s encouragement, planting the love for the Lord will bring your greatest harvest. God bless your family.
I was thinking the same thing! I’m in Florida and I don’t have any problems with my grasses! Delphiniums are cool season annuals too. I’m hoping mine will make it through the summer because I hate that I can’t always find what I want for the cooler weather in the fall. Same goes for potatoes. I get army worms so bad on my spring potatoes, but I have to grow them so I’ll have seed potatoes for the fall. 🤷♀️
I live in Orlando, Florida and the humidity is unreal this week. Heat index is around 112 degrees. I go out for 20 mins. to water my plants and I am soaked. IT'S HORRIBLE lol
I would definitely "fan girl" if I saw you. I was not into gardening until I stumbled upon one of your videos. It has been wonderful for me, my husband...not so much 😂😂😂
I also commend you for stepping back to 6 days a week. It’s good for the soul to have a weekly reprieve. Also, from experience, I agree on your idea of adopting an adult dog. We have done both (puppy vs adult) twice and the adult dogs are much easier to integrate into a busy household.
Girl I can totally relate with the energy in the middle of the night! I used get a work out in when I woke up like that until the family started compiling that they could hear me and it was waking them up too.. LOL Now I work nights so when I have insomnia i get up and work in the garden :)
If you decide to adopt an older dog later on... can I suggest a Tibetian Spaniel, beautiful dog we have one her name is Bella and she will be 13 at the end of this year ... we have always had dogs but she would be by far the best dog we have ever owned, just a thought for you.
As much as I love watching your videos, I'm on board, you need to make time for you and your family! Take the whole weekend off moving forward. Your fans would rather have a energized Laura then a burned out Laura. We love you, girl!
I'm all for the video with Laura in shorts, short sleeved t-shirt and a ponytail. :)
I gardened with my hair down the other day -if Laura can so can I -I sweated a LOT 😂
Yep I for this!
Yes!
I'd be for this! Then Laura would look like the majority of us out in our yards. Oh, who am I kidding? She'd still somehow look amazingly put together!!!😅
Inese Duka loved all these ideas for the 1 mil mark but so sad none of them ever happened. In fact I don't think anything special happen, did it .
We want a piano recital for 1mil subs
Yes!
With her hair in a pony tail 🤣🤣🤣
I'd love to hear Aaron, Laura and her sister, Monica, do some songs. I loved that one the posted years ago!
yes!!!!!!
I love the idea of a piano recital, 💕 if Laura is comfortable with it (no pony tail needed, Laura ;)
I wish I had an idea of something we could do FOR Laura and her family - a celebration of their achievements of some kind.
I wish everyone would take Sundays off for family etc. I commend your actions. You are doing a great job!
I so agree with everything you said!
They get to be the same size as plants I’ve bought from the nursery. Easy peasy!
Linda Witkamp Thanks for the tip. I'm in 6a and will try this method.
You need to do a video this fall, and tell all of us so we can share your success and help us. Thank you for sharing
Linda Witkamp omg, thank you for the tip. I will have to give this a try, I am in zone 6 and believe I could easily manage doing this!
Cool! Can you tell me what "hardening off " means?
@@allysonh6410, "hardening off" is the process of acclimating a plant from the indoors to the outdoors. Generally, you set the plant in the shade for a few hours for a few days, increasing the time outdoors, as well as sun exposure, if it's a sun plant, over the course of a couple or several weeks. You can always move a plant if you don't put it in the right spot, if it dies, learn from it, and just have fun and don't overthink your projects! Thank you! And Aaron was paying you a compliment. I'd been wondering how the heck you guys were doing 7 videos a week! Though I enjoy them, I appreciate you guys taking a day off for yourselves.
You should take a day off! Dang, take two, I'm sure it won't kill me. At least I don't think it will kill me.
Thanks Laura and Aaron for the lovely 2:30 am surprise!
Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians! Even though it will be low key, let's give thanks for
this beautiful country we call home.
Your dp remind me of our goddess
Favorite line of Laura's on the "humidity". "What was going on in my brain" and the facial expression. Priceless! This is why I love these videos!
OMG!! Ponytail, shorts and t-shirt would be the best celebration video 😂
You two spoil us with so much content! There was a video posted I think to this channel a while back, a rainy day garden tour, it was so peaceful and relaxing and wonderful. I would love love love to see more videos like that. Thank you for putting so much care into into your channel and garden; it’s a wonderful respite.
Hi, my cat is microchipped and we bought a cat flap that it is only him that can go in. Bought it in Amazon called Sureflap
Microchip cat flap.
Additional note: No surgery is needed for that.
I’m with you gurl! Why waste time on the issue if the issue hasn’t come up. Got other stuff to do.😁
Glad you’re both taking time out for yourselves. Very important. 💕
She said “we typically go to bed between midnight and 2” and I haven’t been so shocked from her before
Right! We do the early to bed, early to rise bit over here. 8pm to 4am lol
I try that too but here in NW Indiana with these high temps with humidity it's a no go!! Sweat just sitting in shade 😂
I don't know how she does it either. I live in Florida and wear my hair up probably 5 days a week. And definitely when I do anything outside.
You are A hard worker, you and your family deserve some leisure time
After I had my son I developed insomnia and restless body as well.
Thank you for this!!
Oh yes if Im celiac and if eat gluten or sugar then restless legs for days
I struggled with having puppies when my kids were younger, so we adopted an older dog, and she fit RIGHT in...we have had Misty almost 6 years now, and she loves to lay in the sun and watch me work in the garden!
Fan girl: my son was trying to explain to me about how he would love to meet his Minecraft friend in real life - so he gave me the analogy of ‘how would you feel if you could meet Laura in real life mum’. Made me chuckle!
Oh no. As soon as I watch your videos I want to go right out and garden. Finding this at 12:20 at night is a problem. 🤣
Yes, it is humid in Michigan. For the next 2 weeks (at least), the forecast is in the 90's!
I might LEGIT DIE if you do a ponytail and shorts for a whole video!! So happy for you guys you all deserve this success so much! We appreciate all the knowledge you both provide us with.
HA! I loved Neil’s question. I love that you even saw this comment multiple times. 🤣🤣🤣
Laura doesn't fail four times!!🤣
Me too!
Same! Lol😅
I’ve dealt with fibromyalgia for a decade. A big issue I deal with with the fibromyalgia is insomnia. I wake up a lot in the middle of the night for no reason and am just awake. Hope you can find something to help you out.
Yea!!! I just looked and saw 919K! Amazing all you two/three have done. Can't wait for the big party to celebrate. Go Go Go!
I live in the South. I've heard you say you've not been to the South. You should come visit. Your gardening style looks so much like the beautiful gardens we have in Charleston and Savannah, and New Orleans. You'd love it! Thank you for all the great videos!!!
"If by humid you mean not humid..." 🤣🤣 you guys just make my day!
Your channel is a blessing. Thank you for all the hard work
"Are you playing a game over there?" 😂😂
I’m not totally sure what fan girl means but if I saw you in public I think I’d start crying tear of joy! You’ve provided me with so much knowledge, inspiration, peace and healing.
Yes! Milestone vlog with you gardening “incognito!” Pony tail, short sleeves/no sleeves, shorts! Lol. That’s a great idea!
Love your channel so much!
I’m the same with sleeping. Magnesium and Tart Cherry before bed helps so much with that!
CE4ME , sleep hygiene really matters- no screen time or work 2 hours before sleep, no caffeine or sugar. Also when one is a mother I think our radar is always on. I think with all the projects going I do not think Laura can rest her mind!
CE4ME, what do you mean by tart cherry?
We'd love, love, love to hear you play the piano sometime!! My daughters took lessons for 10 years. Still love to hear them play.
Same here!
Take a well-deserved vacation when you hit 1 million subscribers!
I love the rusticness of your fence, posts, watering tanks and now the high tunnel. It's a real working space. Can't wait to watch the plants grow. 👍🏻🌻🌼🌸🌺🌽🍓🍉🎃
Loved seeing a lemon in the background. Looking forward to a drone fly over .That really makes it so real to me.
Thanks for talking about your schedule. I have often wondered that too, and glad someone asked... I am so jealous of your energy!
Stacey at Proven Winners is awesome! She is always so quick to respond to my inquiries.
I am so happy to know that I am not the only one who struggles to figure out how many years ago high school was. 😂🤣
Yay! I love the idea that you’re deciding to take Sunday’s for family time. Well deserved, you all enjoy😀 🌸🌻🌼
Omg I feel the same way when I wake up on the weekend!!! It feels like anxiety but it’s just energy
LOL!! :-)
You're should make a big celebration cake with Benjamin for your 1 million subs!
And use that new mixer someone sent you!

I second the chipped doors! They're great! No skunks allowed
For 1M subscribers, you and Aaron need to go on a weekend away! You both worked so hard for this. Maybe one of those luxury tree houses - they look so fun! Bring takeout from your favorite restaurant!
Thanks for the information about cat doors.
Free Russell!!
I missed the felco giveaway. Do you think they would do a discount code for garden answer viewers?
Yes, I watch her every day & I never saw or heard say anything about a giveaway🤷♀️
Ramibu 2 I think it was only on Facebook.
I was wondering when y'all were gonna post this video!! It's my favorite one of them all! I don't have time to watch tonight (it's 2:45am 😬😁😂) but rest assured I will tomorrow/today. Love you guys!
I'm so glad that here in NW FL my caladiums come up every year. I'll Keep the Heat!
I have started my own this year as a trial run for future business opportunities.🤞
Glad to know you don't mind the fan approach.
Laura I can’t wait for the video with ponytail, shorts and shortsleeved top. That really sounds like a fun!
Want to winter over red fountain grass? Move to Florida:). But I’ll warn you now - petunias are winter annuals down here. 😊
Haha im looking forward to the pony tail😂😂👌🥰
