      @mohnishramdonee2092 Месяц назад +1

      @JO-vj5lq goalies only fight each other. Players almost never fight goalies. Unwritten rules type but also different padding. Fights are not just because someone did something. Back then, coaches would allow certain players to fight to motivate/hype up/get the team going if they were being lethargic or low energy.
      Keep in mind, back then, certain players were on the team as the goons, the guys you play to rough up the other team.
      So if goalies were to fight if a team fight breaks out, the goalies go for each other.

    This is a practice so beautifully steeped in tradition in the weirdest way. My parents took me to so many games when I was a baby and they can tell me all about the fights and I find it so fascinating how in these clips you see each team pair off and hold onto each other not all of them fighting just watching and making sure the fight is not interfered with. Just two dance partners watching the fight not punch when the other is distracted/vulnerable. It’s very primal but very beautiful in a weird way.

    O que eu acho mais impressionante é o fato de os jogadores não perderem o equilíbrio e continuarem de pé, mesmo durante uma luta intensa.

    Love how in the Habs/Nordiques fight, Guy Lafleur just wants to get a piece of the action and help his brothers out, but the second he tries to grab someone, the ref AND another Canadien both grab him to pull him out like "No way, buddy, we're not letting this be the thing that takes you out of commission."
