How do I request a refund?
All refund requests are handled through help.steampowered.com.

What can I request a refund for?
Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours (this includes online, offline and shared library playtime). Even if you fall outside of the refund rules we've described, you can submit a request and we'll take a look at it.
Where is my refund? My refund was approved, but it’s been more than 7 days.
Approved refunds can take up to 7 days to appear in your account - however, refunds to international payment methods may take longer. If your refund hasn’t appeared after 7 days, please contact your bank directly and ask about pending refunds on your account.
When a refund request is approved within 24 hours of the purchase, the original transaction is cancelled and the charge drops off your bank statement. In this case, you will not see a credit on your account. This process can take up to 10 days - wait time for international payment methods may vary.

I tried to refund an older purchase of mine, but it looks like I can't. What can I do?
Purchases made significantly outside of the 14 day refund window are not eligible for a refund request.
My refund request was denied. Can I contest this decision?
If you feel that there has been an error in the handling of your refund inquiry, please submit another request at help.steampowered.com. The request will be reviewed by another Valve employee.
I bought a game right before it went on sale. Can I get a refund and repurchase it at the sale price?
Yes; if you have not already requested a refund make sure the purchase is eligible and submit a request here.

Is there a limit to how many purchases I can request a refund for?

If I refund a game, will my playtime and achievements be removed from my Steam Community Profile?

you can get your refund because it's under 2hours. 2.9 hours is 2hours

8.6 hours will be difficult but I have refund 10hours... I requested for Refund and contact Steam support with a nice message begging for refund. and I was lucky get response from a nice customer service. try to request for refund over and over again and contact steam support over and over again till it get to a nice person
I have a game that I bought on 2 October this year and I only play the game below 2 hours but it says 5 hours of playtime...can I still refund the game...btw The game really lagging while I play the game and my PC system does not meet the system requirement.

Ask for refund. after they reject it. Contact steam support and beg them for refund that you have been busy that why you forgot to ask for refund at the right time. Just beg them 🙏 that's the trick

they're now very strict with their policy... and it also depends on the steam team that viewed your issue
It’s the bots seeing you have over 2 hours of play time but if you reach out to a human at steam support hopefully they can see your case through and help you out
Bro I bought a game in november (one piece world seeker) and even tho that game needs a gtx 1060 to run properly, it does not, not even with my gtx 1650, yesterday i asked them for refund, explaining that i cannot play this game..i only have 2 mins of playtime and they rejected it, so do you think i should keep trying with steam support ?

yes. 2hours and 59 minutes is under 2hours

sorry for late reply, Yes you can ask for refund if your playtime is below 2hours. 3months pre-order is already too much. Note you can only request for the refund into your Steam Wallet.
If the pre-order title was purchased more than 3 months ago, you may not be able to refund back to your original payment method. However, you may still request a credit to your Steam Wallet.
hopefully you have not played the game above 2hours,,,... It's a useless expensive Game... Steam got so many people to refund because of this game
