Backpack Paracord Handle Wrap DIY Newbie Style!! (Featuring the GORUCK GRXC1 Guerrilla X)

- Well, I filmed this in the wee hours of the night (or morning as it were) after I decided I wanted to paracord wrap the handle of my GORUCK GRXC1 21L. It was super hot in the studio, I was sleepy, but in the end, we got it done! Maybe watching me attempt this will spur you on to try it for yourself.
As I said 300 times in the video: I'm not a professional at this (I don't know if there are professional paracordists? ers?) but I gave it my best shot ;) It's good enough for me!

Black cord on a black bag with black handles and NO lighting became a challenge for me to see and follow. Sorry. 😕

You should also add bungee to the inside on the molle in a “X” pattern to strap stuff to while also leaving the molle available if you want to use it. I did it to mine, makes it easier to stash a rain shell or something light and keep it near the top!
I use that sleeve for my laptop (hate flipping the straps) so that space is all taken up I'm afraid.
@@jtinseoul7041 you still have access to that pocket, the 3 rows molle is over that area. The bungee just lays flat when not in use.

Yeah tying knots and adding some custom flavor to packs is part of the fun for sure.

Turned out pretty nice! Is it possible to finish it so the knots point downwards at the end? Adding GoRuck-style zipper pulls to some other bags will probably be my next project.
I have tried ways to do it but it always looks messier. What I tend to do is just cut them off instead of tying them and then just burning the edges and melting them into the loops. It looks cleaner for sure, I was just too scared with this bag ha. The GORUCK style pulls are one I want to tackle as well.

Where did you get the paracord in Seoul?
What is the benefit of the paracord wrap? makes it more comfortable?
Also, did your zippers become easier to use after awhile?
For me, it makes it feel a little more comfortable in my hand. Mostly though, I just like the way it looks. The zippers have gotten a little better, but are still pretty tight on those corners. I tuck them out of the way.

Nice! The CPL would need an awful lot of cord but I think would look swell. Just the top or both handles?
Would you do this to those weak sauce single stranded nylon handles?
Yeah! I just use some foam or rubber along with the weak sauce handle. Works a treat

I believe the Bullet is slightly shorter.

I just put in a pre order for a gr2 26l 500d, can you physically see the difference between the 500d and 1000d, or should I say visually see the difference, I hope my question makes sense…
@@aldotamez3140 Hmm. I don't have a GR2 in 1000D but the GR1 in 1000D is less shiny than the 500D GR2.
