      Do you know that you can flip each loop into a (kind of) cow hitch, bring the new line through, and flip back the new knot, just like you can flip reef knots (square knots in the US) over and back. Same result for much less effort. But I do like your design.

      Wrap the cord around yor fingers and tie it off on the middle like a bow. You can pull more cord ar you need it from the bow and still have like 2 ft to work with at a time. You just have to leave the hitches loose enough to pass the whole thing through and then tighten it

    Awesome video! I have no idea how weaving works - but is it possible to weave it so that the vertical spacing between knots gradually gets closer as you move down the bottle? So it starts out with large gaps at the mouth opening, then dwindles down to the pattern shown in the video at the base.

    • @curbotize
      @curbotize 3 года назад

      I know it been 4 months but you could try different sizing for the loops. He kept it the same. Maybe go every second loop. And then you can add more than one hitch knot on the previous single loop. Did that make any sense? Difficult to word something like this. Cool cover though isn't it. I thought about doing a bag kind of like this but tighter knots. Like crochet tight.

    Nice Project, very comprehensively presented.
    Since you might open and close the net frequently on the top:
    Wouldn't it be better to start with a doubled half hitch? Even with the end molten down I would be afraid that that single overhand loosens with time.

    I would make an attachment for the lid to the neck of the bottle as well. I made mine by looping one end to the water can and then making making half hitches with alternate sides after it was 6 inches long, I tied it to the loop part of the lid. This took about 40 inches of paracord.

    • @TheWeaversofEternity

      It's actually not that hard. What you have to do is untwist the cord as you're pulling it through the knots. So if you just pay attention to the direction of the twists of the cord you can twist in the opposite direction to get it through the hitch knots.
