Do they have soda? Does Homelander purchase soda or have it delivered? Why does his teen age son not consume soda? Does Homelander purchase things, consume food?
Homelander: Until we merge together as one.
That is disgusting. As much as Homelander can say he loves Ryan, he only loves him as an extension of himself. Love is no real substitute for the fact Homelander has no idea how to act like an actual father.
Hes the epitome of narcissism. Big ego but fragile self worth. They only see family and children as extinction of themselves not their own person. It's well, not love, but the closest thing they are capable of.
Homelander wants Ryan to be the next Homelander, so that way his work and legacy can continue after he is gone.
Pretty much, he is incapable of loving anything except himself
From what I'm observing from this strange Father Son Relationship it seems like that probably won't happen Ryan might chose to be his own hero Instead
All For One vibes
that means that ryan soul is still worth of saving and this world may still have a true superman

Money on Ryan to seriously injure Homelander at the end of the season.

@@yusufkaradag8983LMAO bro only keeps Ryan around because he sees Ryan as a direct extension of himself, he doesn’t care about him at all. If anything, he’s growing increasingly resentful and jealous of Ryan because he’s aging and Ryan is in line to directly replace him one day.
Homelander literally on the verge of snapping
I love he's getting more mentally insane in S4 just on the verge of destroying everything
@@A_Edits6067I mean he sometimes slips out already, but yeah, comparing it to S1, it’s completely different person
@@daniilbelenkii6534I kinda want to see parts of the S1 Homelander come back
I think he’ll go full season 1 Omniman by the end of this season. Thus S5 will literally take place in ‘Scorched Earth’.
@@lllool8404 Considering season 5 is supposed to be the last season that’s probably where it’s going
It's honestly a little tragic because this scene implies Homelander desperately desires proper family. He wants to feel like a real father, since he never got to experience that for himself. But his ego is a terrible thing for a father to have. Half the reason Butcher ended up the way he did was because of his own terrible father.
Homelander can't understand Ryan's feelings towards Billy, because he never had a father of his own.
Ya. He also r----- Sarah, it wasn't real love...so he's not even like...a real father. He doesn't have a true understanding of family, just this twisted distorted version of it. Partly because he was grown in a lab with no family...partly because his vile behaviours get reinforced, fueling that ego of his.
Homelander is just a messed up person in all sense of the word...trying to get something he never can get because from the start it was messed.
he’s still selfish and wants attention over his son like when he got involved in ryan’s “first save”
Well he can never be a real father ....he is a psycho...and he sees Ryan as his extension........

That's something I sadly could relate towards to knowing what that's like.

@@user-xb1uh1xn3iBut he doesn't see it in a healthy way, he sees Ryan as himself
@@user-xb1uh1xn3iNah. Real fathers want their children to grow into their own person. Live their own dreams. Homelander wants Ryan to be Homelander 2.0. Word for word. Bar for bar. WHY HAS THIS MAN NOT WON AN EMMY YET. GIVE THIS MAN AN AWARD PLEASE
Yeah, it's crazy how anthony haven't got it yet...he literally made homelander a household name with his performance throughout the series, he deserves more than just public recognition he deserves an award for bringing homelander to life on the sliverscreen.
He absolutely deserves an award for his acting, but then again - in my opinion, the award is beneath the quality of his performance. We'll remember Antony Starr's acting for years to come, more so than whether or not he is awarded for it.
@@matthewlee4697 tbf, making things a household name doesn’t translate to an award. But yeah he deserves an Emmy.
This is so sad. He doesn't love Ryan unconditionally and only as an extension of his fragile ego. Some of us can relate with our own parents.
I totally relate to ryan and unfortunately i have some narcissistic tendencies due to the resemblance of my father and feeding my ego too much - my father sees me as an extension of himself not out of fatherly love the same way homelander does with ryan but worst unfortunately narcissist’s can’t love anyone except themselves .
I’m hoping the series ends with Ryan finally managing to be a REAL superhero in this world. He’s just about the only one with the potential.
Thing is, I don't think this story can have that kind of thing.
I think he'll be a more complicated thing. Unless of course ends with Vought being completely destroyed in which case he could become the superhero of this world.
ryan is about to become homeboy
Hes already having fun abusing people 😂
My guess is he'll become the Superman of the world or something
@@metelineblue294ok, that would be a very funny name
despite what homelander may think, ryan is still at heart, a kind boy. thanks to his mom, he at least knows what's right and what's wrong even if homelander tries to mess with him and say otherwise. i gotta congratulate becca for that because she did everything she could to make sure ryan would never turn out like homelander, and guess what? she succeeded.
When Ryan finally punches Homelander it's going to feel so sweet.
Dreaming of that day he does it. Either that or he lasers his left eye out.
When butcher becomes a supe and punches homelander it’s gonna be sweet.

Not hit puberty yet
There’s a look Ryan gives him at the end when Homelander asks well what about you it’s subtle but man does it send the message that even Ryan knows how dangerous he is

Billy Butcher is more father of Ryan than Homelander.
You won't say the same if the storyline of this season and the next is going to be about butcher becoming his comic version.

and he still drinks milk
The crazy part is that I firmly believe that Ryan is stronger than homelander. He was able to cut off stormfronts limbs with his heat vision and homelander burned her chest
Homelander can control his heat beam, as evidenced by the fact that he warms up Milk with it. He’s not gonna go all out during foreplay.
I love how for Homelander, drinking milk is “celebrating”
Ryan feels like he's aging like a Supe.
Yeah. I swear he aged like a year between scenes
I am glad to see the time Butcher has no tricks in his sleeves other than truly helps Ryan ❤
When Butcher threw to the trash can the poisoned cookies was really touching coming from someone like him
I thought I'd be hating Ryan this season. But his contradictory relationship with Homelander is very intense yet fun to watch
Homelander always nice, kind, polite, humble and down to earth of a person. We need more people like him.

Homelander being a father is low-key the best arc in the show no cap😂
It sure was an unexpected twist... Here's another shocking family moment ruclips.net/video/HhV8jN1MC6g/видео.html
ryan is the sanest person in the show lol
Ryan's powers grows as he matures and will probably surpass Homelander's in a few years time. He'll probably be the key to putting an end to Homelander.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan could do some serious damage to him as he is now
Not going to happen
I do wonder if Homelander really loves his son, or hes only doing this for himself.
It’s because of the part of himself he sees inside Ryan.
Homelander only sees Ryan as an extension of his ego. Nothing more, nothing less.
Ryan is the equal of a dude getting a puppy to pull more chicks it’s all for his gain in the end but at the same time there’s emotion that comes with owning the pet too rt..
@@getplayed5647I agree, he views himself and Ryan as godlike beings
he loves ryan but he loves his self more lol hes literally shown to be bothered by ryan having the spotlight in his first save so he had to put himself there unscripted
Homelander maybe Ryan’s father but not his daddy.
Anthony as Homelander is perfection. He is up there with characters that can't be replaced by other actors, like Johnny Deep as Jack Sparrow and Heath Ledger as the Joker, or the greatest one of all time
Jeremy Clarkson as himself in Top Gear
I really didn’t expect homelander to be jealous of ryan
He’s too narcissistic not to. He has to be the hero
Ryan much like everyone else is afraid of homelander and is not staying with him out of love.
But i dont think homelander has power to harm ryan
I like how he's at home and he's still wearing the costume
That's because his character is his entire personality. It's all he has.
“My mom loved him” 😢
You know you can feel heated tension when Homelander stares at you with his resting face at 1:17.
To reach Ryan Butcher needs to sit with him down and show him old pic of Becca, for him to see her in the way he doesnt know, when she was young.
See Homelander's arrogance even more contemplated when he drinks milk... typical of a total narcissist. And looking like a mother scolding her son and... like that with Ryan.
I hope Starr finally gets an Emmy nomination for this season
Homelander only sees Ryan as a clone who'd continue his legacy, being exactly like him.
Crazy how real this scene feels.
Dude this is soo much better than the comics it's insane
1:10 This Reminds me when Pariston was starring at ging with bloodlust for 8-10 seconds. This Gave me a bit shivers, solid Scene
This season is gonna be something great. I can already feel it. 5 more episodes left
It’s tragic seeing Homelander trying and failing to be a father
Being treated and raised as a corporate product to sell more products instead of a human being destroyed any possibility for him to become a father.
I like to think they gave him the name “John” because of how police used “John Doe” when they find an unidentified male, being Homelander is all he knows and has no real hobbies or dreams to strive for since he was raised with money and success already on his hands, Ryan had Rebecca who would always praise Ryan and treat him like a human, like when Ryan would use to make those silly lego stop-motion videos
Those Lego stop-motion were cute 🥰
Before s4 it was questionable whether homelander actually loved ryan and had some resemblance of a soul. He did fatherly things when he was around him. But s4 we can clearly see. There is nobody he loves more than himself.
Homelander drinking the glass of milk like wine is hilarious
Ryan realizing his dad's so called "love" is very much conditional.
Silence says it all. Oohhh Boys!
Itching to watch the first episode of this new season
What's stopping you?🤔
Butcher is the better dad then homelander
I saw series 3 episodes are phenomenal ❤
Speechless
Hopefully Ryan go with Butcher in this season, he's more of a father to him than Homelander
How? He spent a total of 15 min with him. The fact Ryan loves either of them isn't really believable.
@@creaturecore13 did you even watch the show?
@@creaturecore13after the end of season 2, Butcher has taken care of Ryan for almost a year. Sure, he was mostly on Madeline's care, but he frequently visited.
Hopefully in the season finale. Given that next season will be its last.
I don't know how we agreed to a ridiculous format of 8 episodes every 2 years no one bats an eyelash. In the past, shows used have 20 episodes every year using less resources to produce their shows.

This voice 😫
Homelander is something so realistic even if it isn't
and creepy in the way Ive never seen before
People finally came out of the grid.😂
I think homelander going to save butcher just to earn his son love
I agree.
Ryan is one scary mfer when he is backed into a corner. Diced Stormfront, shoved Soldier Boy. I believe he his more powerful than Homelander and can do serious damage to him if he catches him hurting Butcher. Ryan still clinging onto his humanity gives me hope he won't turn into Homelander.
In s5 there could be 2 things, either Butcher takes the V, they release soldier boy or Ryan get's to know the truth and goes against homelander.
Homelander deep down gets what Ryan is looking for. Never having a mother figure himself, he is afraid of being vulnerable and human, and he is trying his best to not let Ryan see that, by trying to emphasize that they are super-powered and that humanity doesn’t matter.
Ryan knew to stay quiet but silence gave Homelander the answer
