Lately been listening to interviews of producer Tom Werman who produced the early Motley albums. He said he had quite a difficult time with Vince's harmonics in the studio sessions. Sometime 5 hours just to bit and piece together a track for 1 recording. Tom tried to use a bunch of microphones to reduce the nasal sound. Sessions were so grueling for weeks, he would tell Vince to leave the sound booth (go take a break) so Tom could take a minutes to rewind a reel just to find if there was anything useful to keep. (AND THIS WAS VINCE IN HIS PRIME). In comparison he said Robin Zander of Cheap Trick was an All Star and could record 5 complete songs in one afternoon.
That was the longest stroke I've ever seen. One should be careful around such commotion it can be a trigger. I hope that sweet old lady is doing better!

I've seen Motley Crue live 7 times from Shout at the Devil to The Final Tour, including 2nd row center in NYC for their Girls Tour. They were truly one of the most intense bands to ever set foot on a stage back in the day, but... Vince just can't sing anymore, and their final tour was an embarrassment... so... i cannot express the uncontrollable fit of laughter this video gave me! So true!!
I've seen the Crüe once, back in '99 in Tinley Park IL (right outside Chicago) when Tommy was out and Randy Castillo (RIP) was in his place. They were touring with Scorpions and a Canadian punk band called Flash Bastard. Scorpions were the best band of the night. Flash Bastard were one of the shittiest opening acts I've ever seen, and the Crüe weren't much better. Great albums, great songs, but they're utter dogshit as a live band. I've had no desire to see them since and I feel bad for this crowd.
