She's great, But my one critique is there are some people at these round tables that speak a lot less than others. I feel like as the interview where they should make a point to specifically ask them questions. Everyone should be talking a little more equally. But like I said great.
Idk why but it seems like Simmons has such a respect for Bateman and Jordan (especially Jordan). You can tell by the way he looks at them. I love seeing actors have respect for other people in the business
Adama Jobe because he was once a struggling unknown despite having immense talent. Bateman has proven for years he’s a fantastic dramatic and comedic actor and Jordan is very precise and rich in talent as well like Simmons

Daniels is an old pro. And he demonstrates that. Acting is both a business and an art for him, apparently, something he loves and occasionally becomes bored by. Like the rest of us in our jobs!
I'm a real fan of Jason Bateman's work, its really interesting to hear his perspective on his roles. This show has a great format for getting real talk rather than just promoting projects like talk shows.
This moderator is amazing. She brought real questions to the men's roundtable that the last fool never did. He stroked egos. Bringing up paid equity and harassment, craft and ambition, on set and off set experiences, amazing job. She listened, she excited, wonderful. Please, she needs to do this going forward and solo.
That point Michael made about his mother being forced to see him die onscreen over and over again during most of his character roles really highlighted a fairly ignored aspect of acting. We never hear about the mental and emotional toll that such roles take on loved ones watching the actors/actresses being attacked or killed onscreen. Yes, it's not real, but it looks real enough to have a major negative impact on the family members and friends watching.
Yeah, for most people, films represent pure entertainment and most become fans of a person that only exists in that script. For me, knowing the person in front of the camera, I have to really focus on the story and not the actor to enjoy the film. (If the movie is worth it.)

Marceline Abadeer surprisingly, I was able to listen. This was a great interview. Listening to the older actors speak was great. Everything they said was pretty relatable.

Every once in a while I come back to watch these videos. I love Darren and Michael and how they are in there with more experienced actors. They are all in the same page regardless of how many years they’ve been in the industry. They are all amazing
This girl is the best interviewer in this series, she is very personable and confident and the actors seem to feel comfortable answering her questions. This was a great roundtable!
Xenija Grünschnabel Agreed. I m not sure if its is he is just a more of a listener not a talker and a bit more humble. Or wither he wasn't being invited to converse as much.
He wasn't even featured at the end of the video lol. But I guess, he was just listening more, because it's not like these discussions are heavily edited.
Well! This was a fun interview to watch. I really enjoyed it and I was so happy to see Darren and Michael here on this roundtable. Really happy for them!
I loved this! I’m a fan of everyone at this table especially Darren & Michael and I loved the whole discussion the only thing I would change is that I really wish that the beautiful Matthew Rhys would have talked more, he seemed to be listening a lot more than talking and I wanted to hear him !
This is the best one probably, I didn’t catch her name but man she ran this beautifully. And the guests all seem to genuinely enjoy it and enjoy each other
I'm still always so proud whenever I see Darren referred to as one of these A-list actors. It seems like yesterday he was that dorky guy making goofy songs on his guitar. But I guess that isn't far off today. So proud of our Harry Freakin Potter!!!
Huge fan of Matthew Rhys as an actor and as a personality!! But here, in this roundtable, I am so impressed by his intense, respectful, quiet listening style, which is something he imparts to his characters which makes them so intriguing.
When I say I can't get enough of Micheal B. Jordan I mean it like I love this guy, his personality, his smile, and his looks covers most of it I may only be 15 but I dream to meet him some day and will never stop dreaming.
Ok. Rock on. Please comeback and share when you do meet him. Hope it lives up to the movie unfolding in your mind. You say nice to meet you then what....? Maybe check in with the high school student who took him to prom. She got to meet him. You want to be prepared for your shot.
Yo. This shit needs to go viral. Its so special to hear about reputable actors’ perspectives on their career and experience in the industry. I feel humbled by them and its humbling to hear them talk this freely because the fantastical narrative that celebrities are these higher than human beings gets thinner and thinner with series like these.
I just love Jason Bateman, he does deadpan comedy, so well. And also Darren Criss was great in American Crime Story/Versace, after his musical role on Glee.
Very Hearty Group Panel & Discussion. Michael B Jordan's input on creating Backstory in Journals for the Characters He has played was very inspiring as a Fellow Actor. Every Actor on this Panel gave Creative Input and Credible Advice concerning their careers and notable roles that they have portrayed.
People keep on saying that there was not enough of Jordan and Rhys, but I think the Interviewer was trying to use stuff people talked about to lead naturally to the next point and its just that Jordan and Rhys didn't seem to interject much into the conversation, I wouldn't blame the interviewer as much
I get that some people want to speak more than others, and she was going with the natural flow. But I think as an interviewer. She should have made a little bit more of an effort to ask the quiet people questions specifically. But a great interviewer none the less.
What audience? THR has been having these industry Roundtable series for years without an audience. You must be confusing this series with another series or another brand.
@@OneLoveRSR I know this is two months after the fact, and you probably already know, but there is an episode or two of this specific show that was filmed in front of a live audience (If this was intended as a joke, then I apologize for ruining it)
I'm slowly realizing i have a man crush on Jason Bateman. I kinda wish he was my dad. Even though he's only 9 years older then me. I... I've said to much.
Any roundtable with this interviewer is going to be great. She directs the conversation so well that it flows in one fluid motion rather than interruptions or awkward lulls! Amazing
after watching a bunch of these i've got to say, this girl is a fantastic interviewer. she stays on topic, moves the conversation along, and picks up on important cues and prods when needed. really well done.
When Darren Criss described the next project he wants to do, it sounded a lot like game of thrones lol... Make it happen HBO put that guy in the spin-off show!
Yoongichi yes they've ordered scripts of pilots for about 5 spin-offs, and as of now a prequel by Jane Goldman has been picked up and will begin shooting soon.
Jason Bateman was spot on saying how he plays the audience....That's exactly how I felt when watching him and that's how I'd like to play it as well. No wonder it was so easy to relate to Bateman in every character he played. lol
I thoroughly enjoy these roundtables. I don't understand why it isn't publicized more. I can literally watch these back to back without ever getting bored.
Hands down one of the best of this series I’ve seen.To have so many people in this round table all of them great actors and not feel like anyone was hogging the spotlight and everyone had poignant things to offer that was superb! Hats of the the interviewer

Xenija Grünschnabel Agreed. I m not sure if its is he is just a more of a listener not a talker and a bit more humble. Or wither he wasn't being invited to converse as much.
I was thinking the whole way through about how reserved he seems.
He wasn't even featured at the end of the video lol. But I guess, he was just listening more, because it's not like these discussions are heavily edited.
That's a trend on these roundtables. The veterans do a lot of the talking. I think the young guys take it as an opportunity to learn a bit more.
The young guys give more room for the veterans. A sign of respect, if you will.
How are my eyes always drawn to Jason, automatically? i dont know i cant help it...LOVE HIM
Can we appreciate Darren's jacket?
We do and we stan
I want that jacket!
I am totally hooked on these discussions- they have greatly helped me deal with feedback in life and rejections in my career progression.
Well! This was a fun interview to watch. I really enjoyed it and I was so happy to see Darren and Michael here on this roundtable. Really happy for them!
SOMEBODY! Give Darren Criss a sword and put him on a horse please. I would love to see him in a genre film.
That would be awesome
I can't stop staring at Bateman's distorted watch.
Pushkar Mankar *Everyone tries to look Bateman's watch*
I loved this! I’m a fan of everyone at this table especially Darren & Michael and I loved the whole discussion the only thing I would change is that I really wish that the beautiful Matthew Rhys would have talked more, he seemed to be listening a lot more than talking and I wanted to hear him !
I loved this so much. Jason Bateman is just one of the best! All of them are outstanding -- great panel.
I have a whole new level of respect for Darren as an actor after this season on American Crime Story. I really hope he will be back in another season!
Did you watch Hollywood?
This is the best one probably, I didn’t catch her name but man she ran this beautifully. And the guests all seem to genuinely enjoy it and enjoy each other
The best interviewer out of all for these roundtables!
"Don't let it kill the love for between action and cut"
- Jeff Daniels.
I like Jason’s approach on watching himself, it shows in his subtleties.
When I say I can't get enough of Micheal B. Jordan I mean it like I love this guy, his personality, his smile, and his looks covers most of it I may only be 15 but I dream to meet him some day and will never stop dreaming.
I mean his reasoning and karma alone
Ok.
I freaking LOVE Jason Bateman. He seems like such a down-to-earth and thoughtful type of guy.
Funny too
People keep on saying that there was not enough of Jordan and Rhys, but I think the Interviewer was trying to use stuff people talked about to lead naturally to the next point and its just that Jordan and Rhys didn't seem to interject much into the conversation, I wouldn't blame the interviewer as much
The OG's got more to say they have a much longer resume
I get that some people want to speak more than others, and she was going with the natural flow. But I think as an interviewer. She should have made a little bit more of an effort to ask the quiet people questions specifically. But a great interviewer none the less.
@@TruthSmalls Michael B Jordan is definitely an OG. He’s been acting since he was a child, 14 plus movies, 15 plus tv shows, 5 video games 🙃
Darren Criss is such a cute & genuinely nice person!
yeah, i liked how quick he was to stop the "how did you know" (the penis joke.)
Thank you for getting rid of the audience.
What audience? THR has been having these industry Roundtable series for years without an audience. You must be confusing this series with another series or another brand.
@@OneLoveRSR
I know this is two months after the fact, and you probably already know, but there is an episode or two of this specific show that was filmed in front of a live audience
(If this was intended as a joke, then I apologize for ruining it)
@@OneLoveRSR Nope, you're wrong. They did a trial run with a live audience in a few of these last year: ruclips.net/video/KGFS_lkUk9w/видео.html
I want to see Jason Bateman and Darren Criss together in a movie
Having watching all 3 seasons of OZARK Bateman is the man
I'm slowly realizing i have a man crush on Jason Bateman. I kinda wish he was my dad. Even though he's only 9 years older then me. I... I've said to much.
Hahahaha... I see the discomfort by the end
Jason Bateman is an unbelievable actor
Jason is such a natural, I love watching him.
Hilarious too. Notably, as small of a role as he had in Dodgeball, he stole the entire film for me personally.
Jason Bateman is so funny he should definitely be on the comedy round table.
Would love to have heard Jordan talk more. I love his acting looking forward to watching him for along time. Also Bateman is one of my favorites.
Any roundtable with this interviewer is going to be great. She directs the conversation so well that it flows in one fluid motion rather than interruptions or awkward lulls! Amazing
Darren Criss is so so so handsome. Darren is such an amaaazing actor. I looove him of coursee! ✨✨
man... darren criss is amazing
Rhys and Criss are the best male actors this year, they both must win an Emmy in Drama Lead Actor and in Lead Actor in a Limited series, respectively.
after watching a bunch of these i've got to say, this girl is a fantastic interviewer. she stays on topic, moves the conversation along, and picks up on important cues and prods when needed. really well done.
MBJ said he wanted to do some voice acting for anime. He is going to be a main voice on an anime by rooster teeth. Look at this man go!
Kyle Moller wait are you serious!! i love RT, is it a new anime?
EpicBeastism ya it's called genlock I think, comes out this fall? Winter? I think they also got Dakota Fanning as well.
Can you really call Genlock anime?
This is for MBJ. Go dude! keep making action flicks!!!!!
Darren and Michael opposites in this roundtable. Darren spoke every chance he got and Michael was so reserved and taking it in.
i so love listening to wise older men talk from the heart so nice advice for any career i think
This is probably the best one.. Good moderator, grest cast, good flow and attitudes.. Just right.
When Darren Criss described the next project he wants to do, it sounded a lot like game of thrones lol... Make it happen HBO put that guy in the spin-off show!
When he said wacky, I thought about Tim Burton
Game of thrones is getting a spin off show?
Yoongichi yes they've ordered scripts of pilots for about 5 spin-offs, and as of now a prequel by Jane Goldman has been picked up and will begin shooting soon.
Auden Is it a pilot it straight to series?
Amazing that the three faces they used were the 3 actors least known for their DRAMATIC roles...
This is a great episode! These guys are notorious nice guys all gathered together. Loads of insight
These interviews are SO well-done by the interviewer. Thanks for bringing these brilliant actors to us!
Great Roundtable! Good host, too!
Hands down one of the best of this series I’ve seen.To have so many people in this round table all of them great actors and not feel like anyone was hogging the spotlight and everyone had poignant things to offer that was superb! Hats of the the interviewer
This is great. Incredible actors and fantastic moderating. LOVE IT
Once again--I don't know why (yet) that I keep coming back to this roundtable, but this is the BEST of them all.
What a great roundtable and an amazing host! An hour went by in a flash!!
That "You haven't though" at 58:20 was so sweet
These guys should all do a western together.
when I found out the Michael B. Jordan portrayed Wallace in "The Wire" i went back on binged on it, such a well written show
